The day move slow when you work from home
46 mom of two - working from home.
Fan of books ( in all their forms- electronic- paper-audio). Lover of podcasts- there’s just soooo many things to learn and my interests are multiple.
To move my body I run - box - lift heavy stuff and now take it on the mat (BJJ).
Beach over mountain (unless there’s no mosquitoes).
Savory over sweet.
Action movies over chick flick.
Got questions? Come down in my DM.

43M 🇨🇦-just learned about this part of Reddit
Helloooo
Just learned about this part of Reddit and I’m very curious to see how it goes.
43M from Toronto with 2 little ones. Sarcastic occasionally. Dry sense of humour always.
I am (or more so, WAS) a huge travel bug. Love most types of music but prefer EDM.
Big sports fan but hate watching my hometown teams. Too much heartache!
As friends have moved away, the inner circle has gotten smaller and smaller.
Would love to offer membership into my own “cool kids group” to anyone who thinks their cool enough to apply.
I work with computers 🤓 so I’ve got a lot of easy down time on my hands.
If you’d like to waste some time with some banter, feel free to reply back 🙃

40/M looking for friends
From europe and would love some international friends. I love beaches and wine, summer vibes and good food! Bit of a homebody in winter where I mostly watch tv and movies, podcasts and reading. I do like spending time in nature as well. Beaches are my happy place. I do like thrillers, horrors, true crime, paranormal while when it comes to reading i'm mostly into non-fiction and romance. I'm also bi.
Would love to share random pics from our days, mostly mine would be of nature and food, while looking forward to hear about your interests and anything you're up to.

What's something you've done completely out of character that you're glad you did?
I think most of us get pretty comfortable with our routines as we get older. Work, family, the usual stuff.
Curious what people have done that was completely out of character for them. Could be something spontaneous, a random decision, or something you never thought you’d try.
Anything that turned out to be a great experience or changed how you look at things?

45M in New Zealand (and often somewhere else), looking for good friends
Hi all. I'm 45, based in New Zealand, and my work has me traveling internationally a lot. I'd love to find people to chat with across time zones, and maybe grab a coffee or a beer when I'm passing through your city.
I'm also a widower. I lost my wife 18 months ago, and that's a big part of why I'm here. Making friends in your 40s is hard enough, and it's harder when your life has been turned upside down. I'm not looking for anyone to fix anything, just good conversation, shared laughs, and people who understand that life gets complicated.
A bit about me, I'm direct, I say what I mean, and I'd like to be the kind of friend who actually shows up. I love almost any kind of music, I'm a big football fan, and I'll happily go out of my way for a really good meal. Send me your favorite song, your team, or the best thing you've eaten lately and we'll probably have plenty to talk about.
If any of that sounds like you, or you live somewhere I travel to, say hi. Tell me about yourself and what you're into.

A 42 year old American man looking to meet new friends who share similar interests and enjoy having meaningful conversations
Hi everyone! I’m 42 and enjoy working out, spending time outdoors, having a little whiskey now and then, and taking short weekend trips to explore nearby places. I also have about 10 years of investing experience, and I really enjoy chatting with people and exchanging ideas
I’m hoping to meet some new people, share thoughts and experiences, and hopefully build a few genuine friendships along the way. I’d love to connect with people who enjoy trying new things, sharing stories about their lives, and opening up about their personal experiences and relationships. I’m always happy to listen and learn from other people’s stories

Work from home and starving for real conversation. How do you all deal with it?
I'm 45, in Canada, and work from home. Some days the only talking I do is work stuff on a screen, and honestly it's getting old.
I miss just talking to people. Everyday stuff like how your day went, deeper conversations that make you think, and the completely pointless banter that goes nowhere. I enjoy all of it.
For those of you who work remotely or don't have a big social circle, how did you meet people you actually click with as an adult? And what do you like talking about most with your friends?
I'm not after someone who replies "lol" and disappears. I like a conversation that keeps going, so that's what I'm hoping to find more of. Would love to hear what's worked for you.
