As a question, how do the rest of yall deal with fairy knots? They’re the bane of my existence. I’ve been told to get my split ends trimmed more often, which I plan to do, but even then they still come around.

That predatory scum reached out to me today, I just went ahead and blocked him without accepting. Hopefully, with enough receipts, that clown will get banned from the community. We don't need that trash here.

First time really growing my hair out, and I’ve learned a lot over the past 15 months. Still really feel like I have no idea what I’m doing, but happy to find out my hair has more natural texture than I ever realized.
Learned I was using WAY too much oil (hairdresser almost killed me when she found out lol), don’t wash everyday (shoulda figured….), condition WAY more (again…duh), and just recently started wearing a head cover to bed. Still battling frizz daily, and overall just looking for any general good rules to follow.

Am I missing anything?

Don’t really know what the end goal is, but I’m content to just let it keep going at this point.

I'm happy with how long my hair has grown, well past what I initially aimed for and now I wanna keep going. I learned a lot about haircare since I posted last year and I hope to keep improving my routine, so any advice is welcome!

I rarely look into haircare stuff online anymore, but am I the only one? Conditioner really just doesn't do it for me when my hair is long, even combing/brushing through it while it's wet, with or without conditioner doesn't help, I just can't get through my hair that way.

Already can do a little ponytail to make the growing process a little easier...I still don't know if long hair looks good on me, and I'd love a second opinion on that :)

I've always rocked short hair. I've even been bald! This is the longest my hair has ever been, and I intend for it to get longer.

Making this post because clearly I'm in the awkward stage here, and I'm seriously fighting the urge to get a haircut or even shave it all off once again. I need some encouragement to push through!

So given that the average human head has ~100,000 hairs and on average you lose 50-100 hairs per day wouldn't that be problematic long term? Let's say you lose 100 hairs a day then in two years you would have lost 73,000 hairs or 73% of all your hair. Even if you'd only lose 50 thats still 36.5% of your hair which is still pretty significant. Yes the hairs do grow back but idk wouldn't this hair loss be more noticeable in people with long hair?

I started a new job and have to wear my hair back during the day. And man idk about any of y’all but starts to hurt the sides of my head/hair after two days pulled back and I do loose styles wear it back.
Or well try to lol

Probably will grow it for like 3 more months and find a good barber to get a better hairstyle
