We are building in a industrial building on Nasdara and our gates keep glitching and not being able to open- so essentially they are ghost gates. Any fixes?

im like very new and i cant find shit especially in millitary bases or airports which should be packed with loot my intentions are not to camp or anything just so you know

At least official players can start to build community's , You know where and what to use to find out where to pvp. Go do that there. Let us mountain hippies exist

We have a winter map, a non-winter map, and now a desert map. The only thing I can think of is a jungle map. If they go for a jungle map, is there any place right now in the official universe (including Arma official) where there's actually a jungle? If BI does another map, what would be their next likely choice, and how could they make it unique VS all the other official ones?

For DayZ 2 what could they do on the maps in terms of cities, buildings, items, etc that cannot be done right now with DayZ 1? I'd love to see every room of every building accessible and more items like desks, drawers, etc. Not sure if this matters with regards to the engine itself or not. I think the map being so giant causes them to pull back on these features. I hope when my grandkids get DayZ 3 they can choose any city in the world that Google Maps (and street view) have access to that can render unique maps and buildings. That would be epic. More likely I think their future might or likely be DayZ literally.

I know some of you don't like the desert setting, but after playing on forest/winter maps for so many years, it's a breath of fresh (very hot) air.

Im a DayZ Noob, i ran from spawn to the woods and saw absolutely nothing for 20 minutes, not even a zombie. As i finally reached a town with flashing food and drink bar i had to 1v1 a fucking mummy (?!) with a crowbar and died. What the fuck was that ?

Saw a bunch of posts about digital locks on backwards and stuff but nothing about them not locking. I built a gate, attached the lock with battery in it, set the code, locked it. Gate still opens from both sides. I can see the red locked indicator and I can manage the lock and remove it after I put the pin in. Anyone else seeing this? This is on a vanilla community server. Only Administrative mods.

Wondering how to attach a code lock from the other side. I've already dismantled the door and ready to rebuild it.. But is there a way to have the door open and have the code lock on the other side? Trying to have 2 layers but having trouble orienting the 2nd door's code lock.. ANy help would be appreciated

Should i keep my Savannah, or the scar 17 i just got from a bunker, not much of a close pvper, prefer pve more, so what do you guys think? would love the scar 16 with a suppressor over the 17 to be honest for my secondary to my savannah, but havent had luck on the suppressor, running a SGK 9mm with pistol suppressor at the moment in that regard

This is going to be a controversial post, and I'm sure I will get downvoted. That being said, how in the world do people load up dayz, and actively choose to play in 3rd person servers? Makes camping 10 times worse in a game where camping is already strong. A game that is supposed to be hyper realistic, and yet you are peaking around corners with 3rd person.

So me and my friend were looting this mili base and just as we about to leave, I spot 2 players the road and I get my DMR out and take aim. I shoot 3 times and they all miss. I tell my teammate to hang back while I push up with my m4. I pushed up and flanked and while that happened my friend got killed so I unconned and killed one, then another. I think that’s it until I hear someone running behind me and he starts shooting a saiga at me. Thank the lord his aim was terrible because he missed every single shot. I pulled out my r12, killed him and another guy with a ghille hood and saiga tried shooting me but I killed him too. After the fight I cut up and ate all their bodies because I was a cannibal beforehand. GGS to those guys.

I'm a new player (30h), I've been playing in rearmed since I started but I've been finding it really easy.I mean as a 30h player I just did a freshie-Tier 3 armor in like 2h.I can't find any other good servers that are just a bit harder.And also after I get some good loot and guns I have no idea what to do next,so am open for advice
