This probably sounds like the most normal thing in the world, but I actually did something today that I've been avoiding for a long time.
I went out and had a nice day completely by myself.
Usually, whenever I want to go somewhere, I immediately start thinking about who I could invite. And if nobody's available, I just end up staying home.
It's not even that I'm scared of being alone. I just always feel weird doing things by myself, like everyone is going to notice that I don't have anyone with me.
But today I really wanted to go out, and instead of canceling my plans because nobody was free, I just went.
I grabbed something to eat, walked around a few stores, got myself a coffee, and spent a couple of hours doing whatever I wanted.
And honestly? I had a really good time.
Nobody was staring at me. Nobody cared that I was alone. All those awkward scenarios I'd imagined in my head never happened.
I know people do this every single day without thinking twice about it, but for me it felt like a little breakthrough.
I think I've spent way too much time putting my own happiness on hold just because I didn't have someone to share it with.
Today reminded me that I don't always need company to enjoy my own life.
It's a small thing, but I'm genuinely proud of myself.
