Theory Gruesome death for Asami?
I’m just saying if we claim avatar as “anime” then it has to be done

Hey folks, I'm Brendan/MrBKainXTR. You may have seen me around some other avatar subs and I have been brought on as a moderator here.
I have added some very basic rules. Basically just stay on topic (avatar related, and a theory or theory related) and be nice to each other. Feel free to let me know if we need more rules. I don't think we need too many but at some point we may add a spoiler policy for content like the comics.
I've added some post flairs:
Let me know if you have other ideas for flairs.
Forgot to mention in the title but i also added user flairs. The base template is for "x bender" with a respective symbol, but you can edit the text to say whatever you want.
In general I am opening up this thread for feedback. What do you want from this sub moving forward?

If Raava or Vaatu lose, they’re supposed to recharge for 10,000 years right?
So tell me why the writers showed us proof that that timeline doesn’t mean jack.
Korra reached in and retrieved Raava like a doctor retrieving a newborn from the womb.
So my point is, the cataclysm was obviously the most spiritually charged event since harmonic convergence and kuviras death beam right?
So what’s to say Korra didn’t just reach within herself and yoink Vaatu out again to merge his power with raavas.
Coincidence? I THINK NOT
My final thought on the matter until further notice. Ty 4 reading

Hear me out, I’m going to add context to Xerxes X post.
We can go round in round in circles and say it’s her fault or it’s humanities fault but the fact of the matter is whatever was going down was inevitable. There was no stopping it. Now we run damage control.
So choice A: Korra lets humanity live on in bliss just ignoring a possible reactor meltdown or krypton explosion. Everyone dies
Choice B: she INITIATES the cataclysm while the pressure is still semi survivable albeit with extreme casualties.
So basically humanity was SCREWED either way and Korra simply used her OODA loop. (Observe, orient, decide, act) and decided that nuking her reputation and giving the next avatar(s) a chance to fix it was the best case scenario
The reason I think this cements Korra as a great avatar is because this is a larger scale version of a choice she was already forced to make.
Saving Kuvira without knowing the 3rd spirit portal would be made or letting the weapon destroy Kuvira and possibly destroying others in the surrounding area

Speculation: If Feather Mountain Culture still practices the old world ways of air nomad culture then it’s safe to say she mastered the 36 styles of Airbending

If Raava is Earth 🪨 Fire 🔥 Air 💨 Water 🌊
This aligns with Pavis personality. She stands her ground but needs to discover her aggression
I have a feeling Nisha needs to master the elements in reverse
Vaatu would be Earth 🪨 Water 🌊 Air 💨 Fire 🔥
Nisha can stand her ground and has tenacity but she needs to learn to flow
I think once Pavi shares what she learned with Jae and they get motive to actually leave the havens the white lotus will actually reveal to the twins that they need to learn the elements reverse of each other once they have the full scope and picture. Perhaps this will culminate in them both arriving at feather mountain at the same time to master air together as sort of an interlude before they go on to master water and fire respectively.
We also may get to see Pavi attempt the trials that Nisha got put through and I have a feeling that Pavi will actually be able to pass the tests Nisha failed given her personality.
What do you guys think?

2 things before i start this rant, anytime you see side thought #, its something mostly unrelated that is still related enough so if you want to read those, they are at the bottom of the post,
as well i will be referring to the anomaly, or the evil red square as "Vaatu" because I'm not sure if it is actually Vaatu, or just a spirit of fear and confusion (ignoring the fact that Vaatu is the spirit of chaos, fear and confusion)
now have fun entering my mind with my random segways, twist and turns, and horrible spelling
so anyway I have a theory, so we already know the 7 havens are all linked to the 7 chakras, however while rewatching "the guru" in the original show, the root (red) chakra, (Ellora) and the Vaatu like creature, we learned that the affiliated get inflicted and one of the symptoms is the fact that they get fearful, or as we also learned, is that it could the the cause. The root chakra, is blocked by fear. so the evil red square is targeting trying to shut the avatars' chakras, (side thought 1) which is also why he's showing illusions of the past, that way the head chakra gets blocked, as well this will feed into the theory that Vaatu needs the chakras blocked to fully be able to inhabit the dark avatar (if there is one (side thought 2)) as well the fact Ellora's haven is likely built on top of Wong Shi Tong's library, which i think is where the higher ups of the white lotus reside. Which is where "Vaatu" is residing, and as they travel through the 7 havens "Vaatu" will slowly try and block that specific chakra of the citizens, and the avatars, which is also one of 3 reasons i think benders are declining (side thought 3) so anyway to wrap it up
root chakra block by fear, evil red cube make fear, block chakra, re-enter Nisha, or Pavi
side thought 1. "Vaatu" is purposefully making Raava's inhabitants (the avatars) seem evil, to try and make them seem worse, so its easier for him to rein over the world and be able to weaken Raava, which is why the inflicted see BOTH avatars , even though they only have found out about Nisha
side thought 2. , in my opinion i don't think there is a "dark avatar", just Raava being split between two souls, which is why they seem weaker (if we ignore the fact they aren't even 10) and don't have a connection with Korra yet.
side thought 3. The reasons i think that benders are declining is 1: lack of spiritual side of bending, the lack of them spiritually connecting to their element, linking back to why 100% of air nomads were born benders. 2: them dying from joining the brigade, self explanatory here, less benders to have babies, less babies that are benders are made. 3: the root chakra being blocked by fear, although "vaatu" is a new thing in the current world, fear could still be blocking that chakra, leading in less benders having that chakra open, leading it to be harder to bend for that individual

In "The Deserter" (S1 E16), Jeong Jeong tells Katara: "You have healing abilities. The great Benders of the Water Tribe sometimes have this ability."
But only a few episodes later in "The Northern Water Tribe" (S1 E18) we see that all the girl benders learn healing techniques. It's not some rare sub-bending ability, it's taught like a regular class.
This demonstrates that benders in the world of Avatar have misconceptions about bending and who can sub-bend.
I'm willing to believe that the way someone approaches their bending makes them more or less likely to be naturally GIFTED at a sub-bending technique. That said, it's attainable by everyone who can bend that element.

Just thought of it whilst watching the korra episode where she regains her memories in the tree of time.
Also Tenzin says it remembers all soo 🤔

I haven't interacted with the Avatar franchise in a while, so please don't eat me alive for this, but like, what if they could manipulate bio-electricity? If they can control lightning and electricity and stuff, can they replicate the effect of blood bending, by hijacking a persons nervous system?

With the lore drops surrounding Avatar: Seven Havens, the biggest mystery is why the world is in a post-apocalyptic state and why everyone absolutely hates Avatar Korra. The common assumption is that she made a mistake or failed to stop a disaster. However, I have a different theory: Korra didn't fail. Instead, her natural personality, combined with the loss of her past lives, turned her into an enforcer of absolute order—which historically and philosophically always becomes tyranny.
To understand why this happened, we have to look at the metaphysics of the Avatar universe as a spectrum. On the far left, you have absolute chaos (Vaatu), which leads to total anarchy and destruction. On the far right, you have absolute order (Raava), which leads to complete stagnation and oppression. True freedom and peace only exist directly in the middle. The human element of the Avatar is supposed to keep the world anchored in that sweet spot.
However, absolute order requires one specific thing to function through a human host: a massive, towering ego. To force an entire world into compliance, a person must possess the ultimate arrogance to believe that they alone know what is best for millions of people. Korra fundamentally possessed more raw, explosive ego than Aang or almost any other Avatar we’ve seen. From childhood, her entire identity was wrapped up in her own power, pride, and authority.
When Unalaq destroyed the past lives, he wiped out the "human buffer"—the hundreds of diverse human perspectives that historically kept Raava grounded and humble. Left entirely alone with a newly reborn, raw Raava, an aging, traumatized Korra was completely exposed to the spirit’s unchecked drive for peace. Because her ego convinced her that her actions were righteous and born out of love, she likely spent her later years using the god-like power of the Avatar State to forcibly eliminate conflict, dismantle governments, and police free will. She believed she was fixing the world, but to the people on the ground, she became a terrifying dictator.
The tragic irony of the franchise is that by locking Vaatu away, humanity never built the resilience to manage its own darkness. When you try to completely suppress chaos, order becomes rigid and suffocating. But nature abhors a vacuum, and absolute order cannot last forever because it is entirely stagnant, whereas chaos is volatile and temporary. Like a forest fire, chaos eventually burns out, but it breaks open the soil so new life can grow. Just like the Chaos Bringer Unicron shattered Megatron's oppressive empire and destroyed his ego in Transformers Prime: Predacons Rising, the universe itself had to violently snap back against Korra's control. The "Cataclysm" that ruined the planet wasn't an accident; it was a massive, necessary eruption of universal chaos acting as a cosmic reset button to smash the Avatar's rigid tyranny.
This leaves Pavi in the perfect position to become a truly "better" Avatar. Unlike Korra, Pavi is a street-smart, homeless survivor whose ego has been entirely stripped away by the harsh reality of her environment. Because Vaatu is currently a tiny, regenerating spark trapped inside Raava's light, Pavi technically carries both spirits inside her soul. With immense discipline and her natural resilience, Pavi’s ultimate destiny won't be about enforcing a new layer of fragile order. Instead, she will be the first Avatar to embrace both light and dark, teaching a broken world how to sit with the necessary chaos, maintain their freedom, and finally balance the spectrum from the middle.

After I saw a post about each avatar almost dying or outright from their previous element in the cycle a thought came to mind
What if the avatars get saved by their next element in the cycle
Ang saved my water
Korra was saved by metal bending
So until I see pavi get saved by fire it’ll just remain a thought but it’s an interesting idea tho

People meme Zaheer just because Tenzin washed him, but they miss the point. Zaheer mastered airbending in record time and unlocked legendary techniques that Tenzin thought were just myths. He is purely objective-driven and has zero ego, which is exactly why he avoided unnecessary fights with Kya, Tenzin, and Korra.
Zaheer at his final form (flight ability) could beat anyone besides Korra

In the new show its believed that korra is the reason behind the cataclysm so probably one of the main plot is going to be figuring out what happend the new avatar will probably try to talk to korra but its aang she ends up connecting with because i dont think the avatar connection was destroyed but korra was ripped out of that connection.
