I’m not in a sales job, I don’t text anyone but my family and coworkers. Never send unsolicited messages, I keep to myself. I woke up LAST Monday (8 days ago) unable to send iMessages. I tried switching it on and off in settings and was unable to activate. On my mac I kicked out and can’t sign in to messages either.

Called Apple and was told I was blocked for spam and to fill out the reactivation form. Filled form out and waited 24 hours.

Crickets.

Called again, asked to be escalated, told I need to update to iOS 27 then fill out the form again.

Another 24 hours, crickets.

Called and escalate again, and insist they elevate with engineers (this is Thursday) and I would have an answer Tuesday (today). The agent never called me back, and I called in myself and they said they are still “investigating”. I was told to not fill out the activation form again under any circumstances while we “wait for the engineers”.

Has anyone else been in this position? It’s been more than a week and it seems my entire Apple ID has been blacklisted. The most frustrating part is even though I did the iMessage deactivation (per an advisors instruction), if anyone with an iPhone tries to text me it will send AND SAY DELIVERED. There’s no indication to them I am unable to get messages, and since it delivers they can’t switch to RCS without deleting the thread. As soon as any tier 1 advisors get on the line with me they can’t hang up fast enough if I press them for more info, making me think I’m not getting the full story since I’ve gotten a different story from every senior advisor.

I have a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation), 1TB, Wi-Fi only, that I’ve owned since new and maintained AppleCare+ coverage on the entire time.

This used to be my daily driver, but over the past few years it’s gotten progressively worse to the point where it’s basically unusable. The battery doesn’t even last long enough to watch an entire movie, and the OS has become incredibly sluggish, with constant lag during basic tasks.
It’s never been repaired or replaced, and I’m planning to bring it into Apple to see what my options are.

Given that it’s now six years old, I’m curious whether Apple still stocks replacement units for this specific model and configuration, or if there’s a possibility they’d replace it with a newer-generation iPad Pro under AppleCare+.

Has anyone had a similar experience recently, particularly with an older iPad Pro? What model did Apple end up giving you?

My calendar on my iPhone has disappeared. I’ve always typed my events directly into my iPhone calendar, all of my birthdays, anniversaries, doctor appointments, etc. It’s usually under “Home”.

I’ve gone through the process of adding my iCloud account again, toggling on and off, restarting, all of my calendars are toggled on, making sure it’s “sync all events”, and I’m currently updating my phone (though it was only behind one update). Anyone else run into this issue? I need help!!!

Out of the blue my ip13 went black and the remaining light it shown on the pic. It didn’t fall or something as it’s only my house phone. Please help.

Hi all, I have an iPhone 12 Pro and it was working fine as far as I was aware, until I went to take a picture on x2 zoom today and noticed this line in the bottom left corner.

It does not appear until I tip over from x1.9 to x2, and then remains in frame as I zoom out further, but does eventually disappear as I get closer to x3 zoom.

I took pictures in x2 on Thursday last week, so the camera was definitely fine then - I have not dropped it, or got it wet, or exposed it to high heat or anything since then, so, if this is damage to the lens, how could it have come about?

Anticipating it’ll just be one of those things I’ll never know the answer to, but thought it was worth asking. Also is the solution for me to take the phone to an Apple Store and ask about replacing the lens?

I recently received a refurbished iPhone.

In Settings → Parts & Service History, it prompts me to "Finish TrueDepth Camera Repair" (see screenshots). Whenever I try to run the on-device configuration, it reboots and fails with:
"Configuration Failed: There may be an issue with the server or network. Try again later."

Here is the weird part:

• Face ID works completely fine.
• The front selfie camera does NOT work at all (just stays completely black in Camera app & FaceTime).

Wi-Fi is stable, multiple reboots didn't help.

Has anyone encountered this specific issue? Is the RGB sensor simply disconnected / dead, or does iOS block the camera stream until the Repair Assistant successfully pairs with Apple servers? Any known fix before I return it?

To add to that, during the backup process, my iCloud/iPhone often says something like unable to backup despite charging and connected to Wi-Fi. Apple support have no explanation.

I’ve had this issue before where my phone will delete texts/iMessages or I just won’t receive them from people because my storage is full.
Today my friend text me (actual green bubble text not an IMessage, not sure if that matters or not) and I didn’t get a notification for it but I saw it later in my messages, I didn’t open it right away but a little while later the text was gone. I deleted a bunch of stuff, pictures,videos, apps, old texts and group chats to free up space but the text never re appeared and I’m wondering if there’s a way to get it back.

Ok, so I’m setting up an emergency back up phone in case this one breaks, and I’m using this one to set up the other one, if I upload my data from this, and it gets transferred, will I still get the notifications that I get on this phone as the new one?

I get dozens of these random videos or music in my storage and have no idea what they could be. My first assumption was that Tik Tok was downloading videos offline but I don’t have that enabled. This is consistently been happening. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

a couple of weeks ago I noticed that a couple of MacOS processes were reading my disk all the time. At the time I noticed it, the computer had been booted for quite a while and the processes had read about 120-150GB each. I've since rebooted a couple of times and each time the processes continue reading my disk.

The processes are, mainly:
aned - User: root - currently read 5GB, about an hour or two after boot.
logd - User: root - 2,5GB.
mediaanalysisd - User: my username - 2GB

Sometimes these read the disk a lot as well:
TGOnDeviceInferenceProviderService, mds_stores, syspolicyd & corespotlighd.

Any thoughts on why these will be reading my disk over and over?
I asked Claude/ChatGPT and they say that the processes are benign and Google says the same, but still doesn't seem right that they're always reading. And it's almost all reading, no writing. Since the latest reboot aned has written 0 bytes, logd 95MB and mediaanalysisd 15MB.

I'm running Golden Gate 27.0.1 and the computer is a MacBook Air M1.

For a while I was using a custom contact to easily forward calls to my work phone while I was at work since my personal phone does not have reception when in the building but since the last iOS update I get this message without an ability to go through.

My question what can I do to keep my “shortcuts”. I have them as favourite contacts so it’s easy to enable and disable.

Being fully transparent as I want advice what to do, I owe still $800 on my IPhone 16 pro. My issue is display isn’t responding to touch screen. I have restarted the phone and reinstalled the latest update from a pc. Would repairing it be worth it financially? I have no local Apple stores, just Geeksqaud with Best Buy. I do monthly payments, so in reality a new phone wouldn’t break the bank like a flat out repair. I do not have Apple care or a warranty anymore. Either way I’m out of a chunk of money, sucks.

Whenever I have a tab open over the weather icon it matches the clock, but then when I'm on the home screen it goes back to looking different. The clock also looks so much better black rather than white.Might seem stupid, but I'm just wondering if there's any way to keep them all matching? Thanks.

My wife and I have an Apple TV 4K and for years we've each connected to the Apple TV and used the Share Audio feature with our separate AirPods to watch and listen together and that all works fine. The annoying thing is that if one of us wants to independently increase or decrease their AirPods volume, you have to use the remote, press the TV/Control Center button, tap over to the AirPods icons, tap down to the AirPods in question, and then change the volume slider. It's distracting while you're in the middle of a show or movie.

So, I was thinking about getting each of us new AirPods Pro 2, Pro 3, or AirPods 5 that have the volume control on the stem. But I'm trying to confirm whether that volume stem control functionality extends to when two sets of these particular AirPods are connected to an Apple TV using shared audio?

Any experiences with this use case would be appreciated.

I have done Apple trade-in's where you send it in, and they email you a code to redeem for Apple account credit. Can anyone who has used the in-store option tell me whether the same thing is done in-store? If not, how do they pay it? I do not want instant credit to my Apple account, I want a code to redeem (long story why).
