Context: apples asked me to sign into my account so that I can keep using iMessage. I failed multiple times with what I thought was my password. Anyways account gets restricted I requested access and I got an email saying they denied it.

PROBLEM #1: I literally cannot login at all not on the I forgot website or anywhere it says account locked and cannot be used. I pulled out two of my old Apple devices and when I turned them on to login they both said account not available. So I guess it’s completely gone then and I can’t get it back which is unreal to me just for failing the password a few times. (My friend thinks someone tried to hack me and Apple shut down the account for that reason.

PROBLEM #2: so even if I accept that my account is totally gone with all the apps that I paid for etc. I can’t even sign out of my phone because it’s on find my and I can’t login to get it off. The phone is on find my for an account that I can’t login to so I can’t even create a new Apple account to sign in. Is my phone seriously toast?

I have a display issue on my iphone. Apple charged me a $3k holding charge and are shipping me a new phone, for me to return mine.

I understand they may send a brand new phone, or a replacement (I guess a repaired phone?). How would I be able to tell if it's brand new or a repaired device? Iphone 15 Pro Max (from 2023)

I have a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation), 1TB, Wi-Fi only, that I’ve owned since new and maintained AppleCare+ coverage on the entire time.

This used to be my daily driver, but over the past few years it’s gotten progressively worse to the point where it’s basically unusable. The battery doesn’t even last long enough to watch an entire movie, and the OS has become incredibly sluggish, with constant lag during basic tasks.
It’s never been repaired or replaced, and I’m planning to bring it into Apple to see what my options are.

Given that it’s now six years old, I’m curious whether Apple still stocks replacement units for this specific model and configuration, or if there’s a possibility they’d replace it with a newer-generation iPad Pro under AppleCare+.

Has anyone had a similar experience recently, particularly with an older iPad Pro? What model did Apple end up giving you?
Not expecting a free upgrade, just curious what the realistic possibilities are after keeping AppleCare+ active for six years.

So long story short after working a fourth night shift, I was at work and for some reason the muscle memory left my brain and I kept putting in the wrong password. I knew it was a date but I was getting the day wrong and even after 8-hour lockdown I put the wrong one. I didn't realize it would be my last chance. So my iPhone is completely unavailable, I went to the Apple store but unfortunately I don't have my iCloud password either because apparently I didn't save it. I must have changed it recently. So nobody could help me. I already know I'm going to have to reset my phone even though I know the passcode now.

After the Apple store being so unhelpful, I'm just a little skeptical that I'm even going to be able to get my account back. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I got an email saying that on the 30th they will contact my other phone. What should I expect? This is so frustrating because I have everything on my iPhone. I never thought they would be this insane. Especially since I can prove my identity and I know my code now. I just need one more chance but they won't give it to me.

So I sold my iPad Pro M1 on eBay and I quickly went into the settings and hit the erase all content and settings and it started doing its thing while I cleaned the screen and got the packing read… I was in a hurry and I don’t think I ever saw it complete and I just realized it’s still in my “find my”now that the post office already has it and it’s off to its new owner. I went in and requested that it erase remotely but it needs to be connected to wifi for that to happen… how can a new owner even connect it to wifi without gaining access. I definitely don’t want to send some stranger my passcode or make it a nightmare for said buyer to setup.

So I subscribed to Apple TV+. At some point, I forgot my password. No big deal, right? Every normal company on the planet lets you reset your password using the email address associated with your account.

Well, apparently Apple is too special for that.

I tried resetting my password, but instead of simply sending a recovery link to my registered email address (which I STILL have full access to), Apple asks me to verify my date of birth. I don't even remember entering a date of birth when creating the account, and whatever I enter doesn't work.

So I contact Apple Support, thinking surely a human being can resolve something this ridiculously simple.

Nope.

Their brilliant solution? I can only recover my account if I do it from an Apple device.

Are you kidding me?

So let me get this straight:

- You happily accept my money every month.

- You won't let me reset my password using the email address I registered with.

- You won't let me access my account to cancel my subscription.

- Your support tells me I need an Apple device to fix the problem.

So apparently I need to buy an Apple product just to stop paying Apple? Really??

And just when I thought this couldn't get any more ridiculous, Revolut wouldn't let me block Apple as a merchant either. Apparently, Apple gets some kind of special treatment there too. Only after filing a formal complaint with Revolut, they finally agreed to block Apple.

Think about how absurd this entire situation is. A company worth trillions of dollars has somehow managed to make something as basic as password recovery and subscription cancellation into a complete nightmare.

I have access to my registered email. I can prove I'm the account holder. I just want to cancel a subscription. This should take 30 seconds, not multiple support conversations and a formal complaint to my bank.

I've dealt with difficult companies before, but this is genuinely one of the most anti-consumer experiences I've ever had.

Congratulations, Apple. You've made sure I'll never give you another cent.

And to anyone considering subscribing to an Apple service without owning an Apple device: think twice. Getting in is easy. Getting out might be a completely different story.

I just left my hotel in italy about 30 minutes ago and apple sent me one of those device left behind messages. So yeah i just clicked on it and it says that my ipad which i saw about 30 minutes ago lying in my hotel room in italy, is now in china. Does anyone maybe know what could have caused that because i cant even check if my ipad is still in my hotel room rn

I recently bought a Mac Studio from an Apple Store and added AppleCare One at checkout after it was suggested to me. When I set up the Mac Studio, its coverage was already active.

My iPhone then suggested adding my 2023 14 inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro and my iPhone 15 Pro to the plan. Both appeared as eligible to add.

The process asked me to run diagnostics and take photos of the devices. That is completely reasonable, and I have no problem with it.

But when I tapped Continue, I was told to update both devices to the latest versions of macOS and iOS before proceeding.

This is incredibly frustrating.

My iPhone 15 Pro is running iOS 18.6, and I am happy with it. I do not want to update to iOS 27.2 just to add AppleCare One coverage.

I have had a bad experience with this before. After updating my previous iPhone 12 Pro to the latest iOS available at the time, it became noticeably slower and laggy. It bothered me enough that I eventually replaced the phone. I am not saying every update will do this, but that experience makes me reluctant to update a device that already works well for me.

The same applies to my MacBook Pro. It is running macOS Tahoe 26.7, and I am happy with its performance and compatibility with everything I use.

Both devices meet my needs as they are. Wanting to keep a setup that works well seems perfectly reasonable.

What makes this more confusing is Apple’s official support article which lists iOS 18.5 or later and macOS 15.5 or later as the requirements for adding devices through Settings.

Both of my devices exceed those minimums, yet the actual process still blocks me until I install the latest OS.

I hope Apple fixes this or provides another way to complete the checks while keeping the devices on their current operating systems. I am willing to verify their condition. I just do not want an OS upgrade to be a condition of adding coverage when the published requirements suggest my software is already supported.

I doubt I am the only person who prefers to keep an older device on an OS version that already works well.

Hey so recently got a new phone and my child is unable to see my location as it says “location not found” and it explicitly says that the number is not associated with a iphone from my sons phone, i can clearly see his location but he cannot see mine

I was just trying to give my sister money to transfer it to my apple pay account to buy things and then it asked me to "verify my identity" where it basically asks for your states/address and SSN and things like that, after i enter the information takes me back to start and makes me enter the information again. i really hope im not the only one this is happening too because its really frustrating. Comment below if you have any ideas on how to trouble shoot this. i am on the latest software update aswell. im 15 btw

I’m not in a sales job, I don’t text anyone but my family and coworkers. Never send unsolicited messages, I keep to myself. I woke up LAST Monday (8 days ago) unable to send iMessages. I tried switching it on and off in settings and was unable to activate. On my mac I kicked out and can’t sign in to messages either.

Called Apple and was told I was blocked for spam and to fill out the reactivation form. Filled form out and waited 24 hours.

Crickets.

Called again, asked to be escalated, told I need to update to iOS 27 then fill out the form again.

Another 24 hours, crickets.

Called and escalate again, and insist they elevate with engineers (this is Thursday) and I would have an answer Tuesday (today). The agent never called me back, and I called in myself and they said they are still “investigating”. I was told to not fill out the activation form again under any circumstances while we “wait for the engineers”.

Has anyone else been in this position? It’s been more than a week and it seems my entire Apple ID has been blacklisted. The most frustrating part is even though I did the iMessage deactivation (per an advisors instruction), if anyone with an iPhone tries to text me it will send AND SAY DELIVERED. There’s no indication to them I am unable to get messages, and since it delivers they can’t switch to RCS without deleting the thread. As soon as any tier 1 advisors get on the line with me they can’t hang up fast enough if I press them for more info, making me think I’m not getting the full story since I’ve gotten a different story from every senior advisor.

Out of the blue my ip13 went black and the remaining light it shown on the pic. It didn’t fall or something as it’s only my house phone. Please help.

To add to that, during the backup process, my iCloud/iPhone often says something like unable to backup despite charging and connected to Wi-Fi. Apple support have no explanation.

I’ve had this issue before where my phone will delete texts/iMessages or I just won’t receive them from people because my storage is full.
Today my friend text me (actual green bubble text not an IMessage, not sure if that matters or not) and I didn’t get a notification for it but I saw it later in my messages, I didn’t open it right away but a little while later the text was gone. I deleted a bunch of stuff, pictures,videos, apps, old texts and group chats to free up space but the text never re appeared and I’m wondering if there’s a way to get it back.

Ok, so I’m setting up an emergency back up phone in case this one breaks, and I’m using this one to set up the other one, if I upload my data from this, and it gets transferred, will I still get the notifications that I get on this phone as the new one?
