Young Adult Rumination
I feel like my constant rumination keeps me living in the past and it has severely stunted me as far as getting my life together and working on myself and my career path.
I can’t help or control it and it is crippling.
I can’t help but ruminate and compare myself to everyone I know or used to know when I do it. I feel like all of my peers have far exceeded me in every way and the worst part is, I feel like I have given everything I have to trying to better my life and make the most of every opportunity that I can find.

Man this cycle is a trap because the more you beat yourself up for ruminating, the more you ruminate. It feeds itself.
Something that helped me was setting a timer for 10 minutes and letting myself spiral on purpose, then when it goes off I have to do something physical like reorganize a shelf or scrub the kitchen. Gives your brain a hard reset.
