As of today there has been a new rule added to our list of rules.
Rule #15 - Age 30 or up required to post.
(Rule description):
This sub is for those who (socially and/or medically) transition later in life aka at minimum 30 years or older. Posts from people younger than this will be removed. There are plenty of other trans related subs directed at younger folk. For comments there will not be an age requirement.
I understand that this new rule might upset some of our users but for a while now there has been an uptick in the amount of users that post here while being in their twenties or even teens. And as mentioned above there are plenty of subs for younger trans folks.
Edit: to clarify since some users asked this specifically. If you transitioned before your 30th birthday but are now age 30 or up, you are allowed to post.

To help keep out the riffraff out of our subreddit, an Automod rule has been added. As noted in the rules, any newly created account will have any post/comment moderated until either the age criteria has been met or the user has been approved by a moderator. (Whichever comes first.)
For most users already here, posts and comments will show up as they have in the past. This is to help prevent unpleasant individuals that create throwaway accounts for the purpose of posting hate to our subreddit from spreading their hate.

TRIGGER WARNING: mentions of r-pe, misogyny and bigotry.
I haven't spoken to my Dad since we had a brief text message exchange in January of this year, when I laid out my boundaries for having a relationship with me. Use my new name, Valerie, and pronouns she/her and treat me respectfully and a relationship is possible.
There was silence for 9 months, and then I got this email from him yesterday. There is no hate like Christian love.

I'm pretty sure it's just some mild dysphoria regarding my (slowly increasing) desire for FFS, though I'm always interested in advice!
Less than 2 years on hrt, 33 years old. Did a bit of laser on my face.

This is with 2 layers of orange color corrector, a layer of foundation, and concealer. Yet you can still clearly see the blue tint of the beard shadow. What can I do to fix this? Get red color corrector?

I'm in my mid 40s. I grew up in a small, conservative town. Trans wasn't recognized. Heck, I didn't even know anyone who was openly bi/gay, etc.
Since I was young, I felt like a girl. I acted masculine, and did all the "right things". Now, I am an an adult an "old one" and I'm sad.
If I was 20+ years younger, I'd explore transitioning and living full time as a woman. I maybe wouldn't "pass" but I'd be me.
Anyway, I'm just sad sometimes and wanted to tell someone. Thanks for listening.

My wife (47)and I (46) have been married for 25 years. We are both scared of the changes ahead. She’s supportive of me, and I’m so appreciative of that. One of the things we’re struggling to find are resources for her as the cis spouse. Any recommendations for her or both of us to check out?

I am the light.
I am the healer.
I will rise.
No more hiding.
No more shame.
No more fear living under my skin.
This is me choosing myself,

Hey y’all!
So, last time I posted a question on here I got a great response and you were really kind and friendly. Thank you for that <3
I have another question this time around; what’s the consensus on posting pre everything masc face and asking for advice and/or support? I’ve seen other posts from the past by scrolling the sub. Some got answers, others were downvoted and/or not replied to.
Thanks in advance.

I'm 35 (MtF)Feeling dysphoric today. I don't see an endo until December. But even then idk if it's worth it. I don't feel like I'll ever pass. I know passing isn't the goal, but it doesn't make me want it less.

Left: 6 months on HRT, freshly out and finding my feet.
Right: 12 months on HRT, 6 months living openly as myself, and apparently incapable of getting into the lift at work without taking a selfie. 🤣💅
It's been a year of enormous changes, plenty of tears, some really difficult moments, and more happiness than I ever thought possible.
For the first time in my life, I actually love what I see in the mirror. That's something I never thought I'd be able to say.
I'm 37, I started transitioning at 36, and I'm only just getting started.
To anyone wondering if it's too late to become yourself: it really, really isn't. ❤️
