TRIGGER WARNING A love letter from Dad

TRIGGER WARNING: mentions of r-pe, misogyny and bigotry.

I haven't spoken to my Dad since we had a brief text message exchange in January of this year, when I laid out my boundaries for having a relationship with me. Use my new name, Valerie, and pronouns she/her and treat me respectfully and a relationship is possible.

There was silence for 9 months, and then I got this email from him yesterday. There is no hate like Christian love.

Discussion I'm "old" and sad

I'm in my mid 40s. I grew up in a small, conservative town. Trans wasn't recognized. Heck, I didn't even know anyone who was openly bi/gay, etc.

Since I was young, I felt like a girl. I acted masculine, and did all the "right things". Now, I am an an adult an "old one" and I'm sad.

If I was 20+ years younger, I'd explore transitioning and living full time as a woman. I maybe wouldn't "pass" but I'd be me.

Anyway, I'm just sad sometimes and wanted to tell someone. Thanks for listening.

SELFIE How do I fix this?

This is with 2 layers of orange color corrector, a layer of foundation, and concealer. Yet you can still clearly see the blue tint of the beard shadow. What can I do to fix this? Get red color corrector?

Share Experience I did it!!

So I went to my therapist appointment dress in femme! Nothing over the top, just a flowy top with high waisted jeans. I was nervous as could be being out and not wearing “boy” clothes. The thing that gave me the biggest anxiety was seeing two men in the lobby and them seeing me. Anyone seeing me other than my therapist gives me anxiety, but men even more so. It got so bad that I was starting to regret doing that. Hopefully I can continue to gain the courage to embrace my authentic self without anxiety.

General Question Were we ever?

So I have been reflecting, as one does. While I was forcibly feminized as a child, there are certain aspects of "female socialization" that does not sit right with me. The social aspects were things I did not get. Many of the internal aspects of femininity simply didn't resonate. The more I listen to women talk, especially as I have distance now, it becomes clear that certain ways of thinking are just different.

Is this true for anyone else? And I also think about the trans women, especially since male culture is incredibly punitive towards femininity. While I fit well into male social circles and my mind processes things in that way, I wonder about the experiences of trans women who would not feel as safe even if through no malicious intent. My favorite bar is not as welcoming to women, trans or cis, but the things that make it that way are the things I enjoy.

I also wonder about trans women going into female social circles. I know some gay men do that, I can't. I wonder about how they feel finding those circles.

General Question I’m 5 months intro HRT. Do things really get better?

I’m scared shitless of what the future may bring for me. I’m scared if this will work out, I’m terrified of coming out at my job, finding another job as a transwoman if I need to find another job. The list goes on and on. I’m really hoping I’m making the right choice choosing myself and transitioning.

General Question Weight loss face dysphoria

Post image
9 Upvotes

Good afternoon everyone!

I’ve lost about 20 lbs over the last couple months, which has been nice, but I feel like it’s making my face a little more masculine looking.

Which usually doesn’t bother me too much. But it is something I’ve been noticing more. Have any of you had a similar experience when you lost weight?

I feel like my main masculine feature, at this point, is my chin.

TRIGGER WARNING Gender euphoria within a hostile environment

I am married and living in "boy mode." As of now, I don’t see a transition as a possibility. On a daily basis, I find myself wearing my wife’s clothes—in secret; I just can’t help myself. It’s what’s known as gender euphoria within a hostile environment. It’s an exhausting process with no prospect of change. I need help. I promised myself I wouldn’t wear her clothes anymore, but I’m struggling to keep that promise. Has anyone else gone through this? Please, help me!!!
