[PC] [90s] Game - Trouble remembering

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if someone out there remembers this video game at all. It’s an old PC game where it’s a combined driving and on-rails shooter, all I remember about the scenery was that one of the locations was in a forest/cliff of some sort.

I used to own the physical copy and the game came with about three discs in a large jewel case.

Had the Die Hard Trilogy suggested to me but its not it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

[PC] [2005-2009] Shockwave flash action game

I don't remember much about it. I used to play it on flash game sites. It was almost everywhere at the time. What struck me the most, the game was fully 3d and our school computers barely handled it. The game was from a third person or over the shoulder but slightly to the side, something like modern rpg games. The game was very unserious with it's presentation. Unfortunately i didn't get passed a few steps in the first level due to the performance. I think the enemies were humanoid, or just humans. THe protagonist was a slightly sexualized version of Lara Croft. The protagonist was holding a minigun or a weapon of similar size. There was no sprinting or walking, just pacing. The level resembled a rusty railyard, and you moved around derailed traincars shooting enemies one by one. I think the game had a very strong difficulty. Our school computers didn't have soundcards so i don't know what it sounded like. But i think i played it once at home and i think it was a silent game. The graphics werent that bad even for the time, but it did have a very uncanny feel to it. As if it were made of random assets sort of like "Getting over it". The game only had an english localisation and there were no settings at all. In fact, i think there wasn't even a menu screen.

[PC] [2006+?] Dating sim flash game

This was a part of a series because throughout the game there were locked items or characters and the message hinted at sequels. You started out at a school, you met a bunch of girls maybe even guys. Your goal was to have intimate relationships with one of them, or more. The school was sort of like a hub for the characters. You also had a world map, but you could only click to enter certain buildings. You could plan dates, pleasure the women, gift them jewelry or protect them from thugs. You could also train your character with weights and clothes. The game even had cheat codes as your characters name.

Dragon Seeds [PS1][???] Game where you breed dragon and make them fight in arena.

I know it's sound like pokemon but dragons, but I think it's closer Monster Rancher where dragons you breed can died of old age.

Another thing I can remember is the dragons are mostly polygons? I suppose it came out at early 3D models.

Lemme list things I remember :

  1. Dragons graphic is outdated 3d but npcs are handdrawn 2d.

  2. This is only 1 vs 1 dragon in a arena, and there is rankings for your dragon.

  3. Dragons can die of old ages

  4. I think the game title is very generic, maybe something like "[blank] Dragon [blank]"

[PS1][Late 1990s] A realistic racing game like "Grand Turismo"

Platform: PS1

Genre: Racing game

Estimated Year of Release: The late 90s, the year 2000 at max

Graphics/Art Style: Probably 16bit

Noteable Characters: Cars

Noteable gameplay features: A racing game like grand turismo.

I know that in this racing game, there were cheat codes that made it easier to win. You are indestructibale, go realy fast and blow up cars. As for the game's cover art, I don't quite remember what it looked like, other than the fact that there were probably cars on it.

[Android] [~2010–2014] girl bike game

[Android] [~2010–2014] 3D motorcycle runner, female rider, levels connected by themed "gates"

Landscape, 3rd-person camera behind the bike, straight road, dodge obstacles, can spin the bike. Not endless: ~7–8 levels played back to back. Each level ends in a themed gate leading straight into the next. Levels included Farm (first), Ice (middle), Volcano, and Tornado (second-to-last), where you jump into the tornado itself to reach the final level. Single blonde female rider; the shop sold outfits, each with its own bike (e.g., an all-black outfit with a black cruiser). No rival racers. Stylized 3D, between realistic and cartoony.

[PC] [2014] rogue-like battler

I am at my end. I remember back in my like 3-4 grade years playing a game on the school computers. AND I swear I remember a YouTuber playing it and that being how I found it but I cannot find it.

I wanna say roughly 2010 to 2015 being the time I played it

The gameplay was a rogue-like, navigation was similar to Peglin

The combat encounters were 1v1 battles

You piloted a Cloud/sky ship. You had 1 core (to start you could buy more later) and in each battle the objective was simple, kill the enemy in one of 3 ways:

Take out enough floatrons to make them sink (I believe that's what they were called)

Remove all their weapons

Or destroy all the cores

The only movement was vertical, up and down.

I distinctly remember a weapon that was kinda useless called the Zypher blaster. There were lasers and missiles too. Shops had you buying blocks and wepons to build on your 'ship'

The art style if I remember was like 32bit. It wasn't full 8-bit but it wasn't ultra real/highly detailed.

I'll be really sad if it was a flash game (rip flash)

When building your ship I think cores gave you energy and each weapon and floatron cost x energy, some more some less.

I think there was a floatron that gave an immediate powerful updraft to evade shots.

Good luck everyone. I been searching for 5 years now and can't find it.

[PC Windows][2011] 2D side scrolling platformer / run and gun, robot as main character

Might be pixel art might not be. Humanoid robot protagonist — mechanical looking, not cute at all, possibly light brown or beige colored. Holds a gun in his hand — not built into his arm. Shoots enemy robots. Factory-like industrial setting. Serious dark tone. Obscure game.

[Mobile][2000–2015] 2D gothic/Halloween side-scrolling game with a red-haired girl and wooden spikes shooting out of the ground

I'm desperately trying to find a mobile game I played many years ago. I've been searching for it for a long time, but nothing I've found matches my memories.

Platform: An old mobile phone, possibly an early touchscreen device. I played in landscape mode.

Estimated year: Somewhere between 2000 and 2015, probably in the late 2000s or early 2010s.

Graphics: Completely 2D, viewed from the side. The art was simple, slightly cartoonish, with fairly basic backgrounds. It had a dark, gothic Halloween atmosphere rather than being genuinely scary. I remember nighttime and possibly a cemetery or graveyard.

The graphics weren't necessarily pixel art. What I remember most is that the character's movement looked quite choppy, with very simple animation.

Main character: A girl, possibly with red hair and a slightly emo/goth appearance. She might have worn a T-shirt with denim shorts or jeans.

IMPORTANT: The girl was quite large on the screen! She may have occupied almost the entire height of the display when the phone was held horizontally. She definitely wasn't a tiny character running through a detailed landscape.

Gameplay:

  • The character moved continuously sideways, possibly automatically.
  • You had to jump over obstacles.
  • My clearest memory is 3–5 sharp, wooden stakes suddenly shooting upward from the ground in a row. You had to jump over them.
  • The first levels were relatively slow, but the game became faster and faster as you progressed.
  • I vaguely remember monster plants that could bite and possibly eyeballs.
  • There might have been a way to briefly speed up the character.
  • I have a very uncertain memory of the girl holding some kind of stake or weapon in one level.

I also have a vague feeling that the game's title might have included the word "cemetery", but I could be completely wrong.

It's NOT Scarygirl, Fear Less, They Bleed Pixels, Horror Run, or Dracula Twins. The character in my game was much larger on-screen, and the visuals were simpler.

I know this is vague, but I'd be incredibly grateful for any suggestions. This is a childhood memory I've been trying to recover for years. Thank you!

Out of Action [PC][2023-2025, maybe the present time] Shooter, multiplayer?, class based, low poly, dithering

I’m trying to remember the name of a multiplayer FPS I played about a year ago, maybe a bit more. I don’t remember the title at all, so here is everything I can recall:

Visuals

  • First-person, low poly
  • A lot of dithering, and a pixelated HUD
  • Muted colors, not bright or cartoony (so not Krunker or Quantum League style)
  • Some kind of green color tint, though I’m not sure about that
  • Scopes were almost transparent and futuristic-looking
  • Bullets were very visible. When you hit an enemy, the bullets or shotgun pellets showed on screen, a bit like in Fortnite

Gameplay

  • Multiplayer, with several game modes?
  • Class selection?
  • Very fast movement, including sliding
  • Small arena-style maps. One I remember was a corridor where you slid along (in a tiktok video)
  • I originally thought it had slow motion, but I’m not sure now

Other info

  • I’m pretty sure it was on Steam and in early access
  • I’m not sure how the matchmaking worked
  • It was a very small, unknown indie game
  • I found it through a TikTok video, over a year ago
  • It was definitely released before 2026

Already ruled out: Quantum League, Krunker, Ravenfield, Splitgate, BattleBit Remastered, Low Light Combat, Zero Grounds, DUSK, Reflex Arena

I’d like to buy it now if it still exists. Thanks!

[PC][maybe 2025 or at least after 2022] Saw this 3rd person action game in a YouTube video where you ride in a sleigh with a light blue furry NPC, possibly during a Christmas event

Platform(s): PC (probably)

Genre: 3rd person action, live service

Estimated year of release: I remember seeing the YouTube video maybe around end (maybe Nov or Dec) of 2025, but at least after 2022

Graphics/art style: 3D, looked like a Korean MMO like Black Desert Online, but may or may not be Korean or a MMO

Notable characters: I only remember seeing in the YouTube video this light blue colored humanoid furry NPC that rides in a sleigh with you around a town. A furry is an anthropomorphic normally humanoid character, I tried looking for things that looked like this NPC online, this is the best I was able to find so far, except I think this furry NPC didn't wore clothing and maybe had more of a blue hue. Player characters looked like all humans like in a typical Korean MMO

Notable gameplay mechanics: Unfortunately never played the game, but I think the game was live service, probably free to play but not 100%, I think the game sells you cosmetics as a part of its monetization

Other details: I only remember seeing this promotional YouTube video a while ago, maybe around end of 2025 but could be earlier. I only remember in the video they were talking about what I think was a Christmas event where you are riding around a town with a light blue colored humanoid furry NPC in a Sleigh. roughly resembling a character like this, but likely without clothing and of a more blue hue from what I remember. I am almost certain the game was a live service game, likely free to play. I have rummaged through my brain to try to remember as much as I can, but I feel like this is about all I can remember. If there are any questions you think might help you find this game, please ask away.

Games that I am certain it is not:

  • Black Desert Online
  • Lost Ark
  • Throne and Liberty
  • Any Monster Hunter games
  • Any Final Fantasy games
  • Blade and Soul
  • Perfect World
  • Revelation
  • World of Warcraft
  • Dragon Nest

[2005 - 2015] [pc] an old 3D Victorian/steampunk game with racing cars, gliders, and submarines

I feel like as if I dreamt of this game because i cant find it at all

  • Graphics and setting: It was a realistic-looking 3D game with a dark, historic, Victorian-era atmosphere. The city had brick buildings and old European-style streets.
  • Gameplay: It had separate missions or levels featuring different vehicles. Some missions involved racing cars, others involved flying a glider or flying machine, and others involved submarines.
  • Cars: The cars were wooden i think. They drove on ordinary cobblestone streets.
  • Glider mission: I remember a mission where the character attended a party and then escaped over the rooftops using a wooden glider. It reminded me of Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine in Assassin's Creed II.
  • Submarine missions: The submarines travelled through tunnels underneath the city.
  • Story: The game had a story and cutscenes but i can remember any details.
  • Does anyone recognize this game, or remember a game with similar missions?

[Flash][2012] Side-scrolling shooter where picking up a duplicate weapon upgrades it (orange theme, kid protagonist, shotgun recoil flight)

I used to play this Flash game on Friv years ago (roughly 2010s) and I can’t remember the name. Here’s what I remember:

Gameplay:

  • Side-view action/platformer shooter
  • You play as a kid, and the game had a mostly orange color theme
  • You progress through levels finding weapons and fighting enemies
  • You could only carry 2 weapons at a time
  • If you picked up a duplicate of a weapon you already had, it upgraded and unlocked new properties
  • The shotgun is the one I remember best: with two shotguns combined into the upgraded version, you could shoot downward and the recoil launched you upward, so you could basically fly
  • Each level ended with a boss fight

Visuals:

  • I vaguely remember the levels and enemies looking slimy or acidic, like toxic goo, but I’m not 100% sure about this part

I’m not sure whether it was pixel art or a more cartoony style, and I don’t remember the exact name of the weapons. I’ve searched for it for a while without luck. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

[PC][2000s???]Educational game (I think) that has multiple "games" in it

I don't remember a lot about it, but it was a game that had multiple activities to do like sorting the states and countries to the correct place, solving quizzes (I could be wrong and there weren't any), watching videos that could've been part of the quizzes but I remember watching them individually (the ones I most remember are the woman doing acrobatics one and the snake eating an egg one), and there was a hot air balloon minigame where I think you have to answer correctly or else the hot air balloon will just float down. There was more stuff to do but I either never played them or don't remember.

I'm pretty sure the game is either in grayscale with the occasional color or just fully grayscale. Apparently educational games are supposed to be colorful, so it's either an odd one out or there's an option to make it grayscaled.

Honestly, I have no idea if it was an actual educational game or not. It sure did feel like one since it didn't play like a typical game (y'know like an rpg or a simulator, etc. ect.).

I played this a long time ago as a kid so I unfortunately don't have many memories about it, but I'll try my best to answer any questions you guys have. I don't have the game anymore and the one person who could've help me remember has passed on, so I'm hoping someone can help me.

[Old Console or PC][Late 90s/2000s] Old puzzle game that my dad used to play, where the game resets by itself if you take too long to solve a riddle

Hi everyone, I'm trying to find an old puzzle/enigma game that my dad told me he used to play, but we can't figure out the name!

Here are all the details he remembers:

Platform: An old console or pc (likely from the late 90s or 2000s era).

Genre: Puzzle / Enigma / Mystery.

Cover / Visuals: He remembers the game title/cover had something related to the word "Four" (or the number 4). He thinks the cover looked very similar to this style: a prominent, sketchy/glowing red "4" on a dark/black background (I made a quick mockup of how he described )

Key Gameplay Mechanics: The most memorable mechanic was that if he took too long to solve a puzzle or riddle, the game would automatically reset/start over from the beginning on its own (without showing a standard menu or asking to manually restart).

If anyone recognizes this game or has any leads, I would really appreciate the help! Thanks in advance!

[PC Win/DOS][1990?-2000] Sprite based angled top down exploration game. At one point you could get turned into a frog, this made you weaker but smaller and able to fit through gaps.

Platform(s): PC DOS, or DOS-compatible Windows 95.

Genre: Exploration/combat?

Estimated year of release: Before 2001. Probably mid-90s.

Graphics/art style: Sprite based

Notable characters: MC was probably a knight or robot figure. Someone armored IIRC. There was also a witch who could curse you.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Other details:

I played this on my computer sometime before 2001, likely sometime in the mid 90s. Things that I remember:

  • The main view was semi-overhead. I do not think it was isometric, more of a straight-on angled overhead view. (Think the sort of angle the old Zelda or Pokemon games took, but not as cartoony, and not quite as overhead so you could see taller thinner bodies and not just the tops of heads.)
  • I think the main character was a knight or robot figure. Someone metallic?
  • Some points in the environment could not be passed as a humanoid figure, but it was possible to get cursed by a witch or similar. This turned you into a frog or other small animal. You could not attack as the frog (I think), but your smaller size let you pass through gaps you could not as a humanoid. I don't remember ever finding a way to turn back from a frog, but that was probably just something I couldn't find at the time. Turning into a frog was not a central mechanic, IIRC, but was just something that could happen in one section of the map.
  • I remember the game being set outdoors, vaguely medieval and lightly forested.
  • I am pretty sure the game name started with "R", and may have had the word "Robot" in it. I am not 100% on this, however.
  • The game had combat in it and you could die. This was not turn-based combat, it happened in real time.
  • The graphics were sprite-based and not 3D. Very old-school look to them, smallish character sprites.
  • I think it may have been a DOS-based game, but I am not totally sure. I definitely played it on an old PC, either a DOS-only machine or a Windows 95 machine that could play DOS games.
  • I vaguely recall the game name starting with 'R'. Might have had 'Robot' in it? I'm pretty sure it was a one word title. Not fully sure on this though, I might be misremembering part of the title details.
  • The game was not an adventure game, nor a point-and-click game.
  • The game would have been available in the American market. It might have been downloaded shareware, I'm not sure.
  • I have a vague recollection that you might have been able to upgrade or switch weapons. I think an axe may have been a possible upgrade.
  • I do not remember any story details, and I'm not even sure there was one. This might be just because I did not progress far enough when I was younger.

[PC][2011~2014 UNRELEASED] Indiedb The Elders Scrolls Like with 2d characters

Platform(s): PC

Genre: First Person Action RPG

Estimated year of release: Not Released(possibly canceled)

Graphics/art style: Huge 3D world with 2d sprites for NPCs

Notable characters: N/A

Notable gameplay mechanics: It was said to be inspired by TES games, so huge open world with overarching Main Quest

Other details: I used to spend a lot of time in SteamDB, just scrolling through the upcoming indiegames. One of them that, if my memory is correct, was canceled, was a The Elder Scrolls inspired game with 2d sprites for NPCs, I also remember being told that it was inspired by Skyrim. Also the character sprites had big heads in a cartoonish look.

TIt's an adventure game from before [2012] with fantasy elements, third-person perspective, with a variable character selection system that is divided into classes. Also, one of the missions seemed to take place in a swamp where there was a mini-boss — a girl from a well. It isn't isometric and it was released on [PC]

Ikenfell [Xbox One] [late 2010s] Pixel art turn-based game taking place in a magic school, MC has no magic and goes to the magic school to find lost sister

Post image
17 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I remember playing this game somewhere around the late part of the 2010s, maybe the first few years of the 2020s.

I remember the game having pixel art and turn-based mechanics; you could select up to three people to be in your party at one time, and they all had different magic and roles.

I drew a picture of the MC; she had long, straight, ginger hair and a blue and pink outfit, if I remember correctly. She had no magic herself, but had an older sister who went to the magic school the game is set in, but she disappeared, so the MC is looking for her. I think the MC gets magical powers through the game herself as well. Our first two party members were a boy; I think he had a more "nerdy" look and had book-themed attacks, and a girl, but I don't remember much about her.

The other girl in blue is one I remember the appearance of more; she had white, curly hair (a little similar to Bede from Pokémon Sword/Shield) and had a blue, baggy turtleneck and dark blue pants. She was kind of mean and came from a noble family, though I'm a little unsure about the noble part. At some point in the game, she was trapped in a mirror and got a lot of character development, especially towards the end of the game.

I also kind of remember two bosses; the first is a big star you meet in a planetarium. He seems friendly initially, but it's revealed he ate a witch and plans to eat your party next. After you defeat him, he spits the witch out and gets friendly again. The witch in particular was a very pretty girl; she was older than the other characters in your party so far, she wore yellow, was poc and had paint-themed attacks.

The other boss was one of the characters before turning into this boss towards the end of the game. He was some rich guy who had a bodyguard, but the bodyguard died, and the guy was so overcome with despair that he turned into this crow thing. I think the fight had three stages, and this crow-like one was the final stage.

Two areas I remember are a big library and the school courtyard. It was very pretty, had lots of trees and was pretty dim, except for the fireflies scattered around. I think you walked on wooden planks in some areas of it.

I'm sorry for having so little information; I hope I'm not making it too difficult to find!

Thank you in advance to anyone who might know this game!

The Wild at Heart [Xbox 1] [late 2010s] A pair of siblings crawl into the hollow of a tree and fall into a world with cute little magical creatures they explore and fight monsters with them

Post image
15 Upvotes

Like the other game I just posted about, this is another game I enjoyed playing in the late 2010s to the first few years of the 2020s, though I got stuck in the story at some point and never got to finish it.

The game had a 2d artstyle, and I seem to recall it having a very hand-drawn look, maybe even with a hint of watercolor. The colors were pretty vibrant; it was a colorful game. You mostly got around by solving puzzles, stuff like activating pressure plates; you also had to gather a bunch of these cute little creatures that did different things based on what kind they were. I think there was an orange one that exploded. The different variants were mostly specific to a certain area under the tree, if I remember correctly, but once you gathered them, they followed you until they died.

The main plot was that there was a pair of siblings; the older one was a lanky boy with a red hoodie, and you played as him most of the time. The younger sibling was a girl (90% sure about it, at least). I remember she was much shorter and stubby and vaguely recall her having glasses and pigtails, but those details I'm not too sure about. They had an uncle or grandpa who had a camp, and they were staying there when they came across a weird tree. They climbed into the hollow below it and fell into this world where there are mostly these cute little humanoid creatures; the default one was yellow and looked something like the drawing I made. There were also some monsters, and I think there was a corruption spreading, and the children were appointed to be the guardians of the little creatures.

One I specifically remember was an icy one; there was a monster there that I couldn't figure out how to beat there, and i think there was also a cold effect in those areas, but that part i'm a little uncertain about. The monster I recall looking like a big deer, but it might be Mandela effect from the Deerclops in Don't Starve.

Again, sorry for the little info, i hope i'm not making the job too difficult.

Thank you in advance!

[SWITCH][2020][COUCH CO-OP COOPERATION PUZZLES]

Platform(s): Switch and/or Steam (but I'm pretty sure switch)

Genre: Puzzle Platformer

Estimated year of release: ? We played in 2020-2022

Graphics/art style: Pixel

Notable characters: 2 player couch co-op option

Notable gameplay mechanics: Environmental puzzles

Other details: on some screens backlit - others not, screen by screen objectives, jumping, co-operation, small characters, hiding in divots while things pass, getting over chasms

There is a game my child and I played around 2020-2022 it was a pixel, color, two player couch co-op (not sure if it had 1-player option but probably). I don't remember a ton (we were both really sick) but each screen/stage was different with some repeating screen concepts.

So, in one set of screens it was back lit so the obstacles/structures were black so you couldn't necessarily see where you were until you were backlit. The characters were small and you had to work together generally. Think a cross (sort of ) between fez, limbo, and lovers in a dangerous space time (this is what it looked most like, along with Fez), but each screen had a different objective.

I remember toward the end of the game there was like a sort of jungle ruins area we had to find a way over a chasm and then go down on the right and get some logs or something to roll and hide in divots while that happened. Also on one screen, with a black background, on the right half was like a tall aquarium tank we had to get each other into and then accomplish something with the fish I guess.

MEMENTO [PC][unknown] obscure, 2D RPG Maker-style horror game featuring a grotesque, crawling "rusty plane monster" named “Dead Ahead” as one of the chase sequences, along with an “airtight container automaton thing” named “Casket”

it also has a giant crawling skeleton that appears at the end called “David” who is described as a Future General. And it all takes place on a massive island.
