I’ll see your Cooper Pratt and raise you a Ben Williamson
If the Brewers are going to hit home runs with traditional power hitters like Pratt, Frelick and Hamilton, the Rays are going to counter with RBI machines like Ben Williamson. Just pray Cash doesn’t unleash hitting machine Taylor Walls on you tonight. Regardless of the Series outcome, I’m so happy the Rays gutted out that last inning and won. As a fan I really needed that. Thanks guys! Rays the F up!

Discussions FOX ANNOUNCERS BIAS AGAINST RAYS
There was something that happened last night during game 5 of the World Series that pretty much summed up how much bias I think these Fox announcers have against the Rays. It happened in the top of the 12th inning when Pratt hit the leadoff home run to give the Brewers a 3-2 lead. On the call of the home run the play-by-play guy Joe Davis was full of excitement while screaming out "GET UP, GET UP! as the ball was nearing the outfield wall. Clearly, he was begging for the ball to be a home run. It doesn't get any more biased than that in my own humble opinion. What do you all think? Is this a fair assessment of the Fox announcers in this series?

Post Season Subtle walk-off foreshadowing
This photo was posted right as the game was starting. I feel like someone knew what they were doing putting in Williamson to hit. Either that, or Longoria transferred some of his power into BW.

Discussions Charlie Morton should throw out the first pitch for game 5
We almost got reverse sweeped in 2020 and Charlie was one who saved us! Why not let him throw out the first pitch?

[No Paywall] Not so fast: Rays walk off Brewers in extras to keep World Series hopes alive
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The baseball kicked up a cloud of white chalk as it bounced off the infield dirt and soared toward the Tropicana Field turf. A much bigger cloud of white uniforms followed not far behind, searching for the hero, Ben Williamson. They were the Tampa Bay Rays, survivors of 12 innings of high-stress baseball with the Milwaukee Brewers and owners of a gut-wrenching 4-3 victory in Game 4 of the World Series.
Three outs away from winter and trailing by a run, Tampa Bay put forth its finest hour. After Milwaukee rookie shortstop Cooper Pratt slugged a go-ahead homer in the 12th, the Rays rallied to stun the Brewers and keep this season alive with a rally capped by Williamson’s pinch-hit walkoff.
“It’s what you dream of growing up,” Williamson said. “You play Wiffle Ball in the backyard with your friends and you’re dreaming of hitting a walkoff ball in the World Series.”
And so the dream was still alive for Tampa Bay. No team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in the World Series. Then again, no team this October has weathered a haymaker from the Brewers like the Rays did on Wednesday.
So perhaps all hope is not lost.
“It’s a pretty cool position we’re in, and it’s a special opportunity that we have,” said Rays outfielder Jonny DeLuca, who supplied the game-tying hit before Williamson won it. “So we’re just going to take it one day at a time and just be in the moment. We love the position we’re in.”

Tampa Bay will need to scramble for Game 5. The team used its presumptive starter for Wednesday as a middle reliever on Tuesday. They will be facing off against Milwaukee ace Jacob Misiorowski. The crowd at the Trop may once more be packed mostly with supporters of the road team. It is still an uphill climb. But it sure beats the alternative.
For Tampa Bay, the 12th was a nightmare before it became a dream. Pratt broke the deadlock with the first run for either team since the fifth inning. But the Rays did not go quietly. A throwing error by Brewers third baseman Joey Ortiz opened the door for a flurry of hits against rookie pitcher Shane Drohan. After a single by catcher Liam Hicks, DeLuca tied the game. A single by speedy outfielder Chandler Simpson loaded the bases. Williamson chopped the first pitch he saw into right field for the game-winner.

Discussions 2004 ALCS vibes?
Anyone else getting some serious 2004 ALCS vibes with this series? The Red Sox lost the first 2 games on the road and then get blown out in game 3 at home. But then they come back to win game 4. In 12 innings. Now we just have to wait and see if game 5 goes 14 innings.
