Survival Horror Halloween Guessing Game - Day 4
This week I will be testing your survival horror game knowledge in a fun guessing game. I have edited some of the images to remove characters or HUD elements to make it more challenging.
Over the next 7 days see how many games you can guess right from the posted screenshots. Good luck and happy Halloween!🎃

My survival-horror roguelite GRAVE SHIFT just launched on Steam
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I started making GRAVE SHIFT because I wanted to play something that mixed the dread of survival horror with the chaos of a roguelike, and couldn’t find quite what I was looking for.
You explore overgrown cemeteries and abandoned buildings, scavenge ammunition, and solve puzzles between fights. Rooms keep their state when you leave, so you can double back for supplies rather than always moving into the next encounter.
The roguelite side changes your route and the weapons and boons you find each run. Permanent upgrades and story progress carry across deaths, but I wanted exploration and managing your resources to matter alongside building a stronger character.
Here’s the launch trailer. If you give the game a try, I’d really like to hear how that combination feels from other survival-horror players.

My first survival horror game
I just finished this game a few days ago and I had an absolute blast. I’m fairly new to the genre and it might be a random game to start with but I got the game on a cheap and just started playing it.
It’s weird, I love horror and I’ve always wanted to play survival horror games ever since I saw my brother back in the late 90’s playing the original RE games. But I’ve just always lacked the courage to play them.. I know strange. But I just always felt a strange overwhelming feeling of not being able to take the step and go for it. But this time, I finally did it. And wow, I’m so glad I did!
I personally thought this game was amazing, I read about the game itself and saw that one the main criticisms about it was how short the game was. And I find that, with most games, not just this one, that one of the main criticisms that games can have (other than other certain flaws) is the lack of length. Which is fair as people want to have their money’s worth.
But for me, as a busy father of 2 kids and with another one on the way. The length of this game was perfect for me.

Sinking City 2 progression question Spoiler
So I just saved the siren and ended the first "chapter" meaning I'm now in a new map. Will I be able to return to the previous map? I have some stuff left to do there incl. the church/trident mystery and the printing thing.
Thanks.

Remothered Red Nuns Legacy
Got this game a day early for ps5 and have done about 2 hours. Here's some first impressions:
Good:
Very similar in style to Tormented Fathers, rather than broken porcelain.
The map has a much better layout, and is visually more varied.
Enemies don't hear you rooms away the moment you walk!
It genuinely seems enemies are just constantly patrolling and you'll hear them open doors and loud gates in the distance so you can figure out where they are. Music alerts you when enemies are close.
You can fight back a bit more.
Loads of hiding spots.
No bugs!
Jodie foster is back.
Bad:
The graphics on performance are so muddy, it's really quite bad. Quality mode looks better but has a noticeably choppy frame rate. Needed something in between.
A lot of people might be put off by the amount of child abuse and sexual assault mentioned in the game.
The first stalker is bland. Doesn't compare to Fenton from the first game.
Basically the gameplay is so similar to one that if you enjoyed that stalker gameplay you'll enjoy this too as it's much more refined, but you'll still spend lots of time walking, hiding under sofas, and being interrupted during puzzles.
I'm enjoying it a lot for what it is, and I got it fully expecting a refined version of tormented fathers.
Bit concerned I'm just under 2 hours and it says 40% complete however...

Clive Barker's Jericho (Interesting info)
I recomend to play this on PC with a SMOD, that mod fixes friendly AI, rebalances difficulity and also there is Debug Menu (only one I used is Automatic QTE). Game becomes way more enjoyable because of balancing, no more babysitting ai, they can aim better. And just to let you know, there is currently Coop mod (WiP), it supports split screen on PC and lan/online and also, mod supports SMOD (optional),. Player 1 plays as Ross and Player 2 plays as Jones, they can both posses team AI, if Player 3 and 4 enter the game, they would be staticly only 1 character. Also mod adds aditional objectives, for example, in some missions you need 1 character for progression, other players have added objectives. Check online "Coop-Anything" and join Discord group if anybody is interested. Mod is progressing very fast.

Resident Evil & survival horror collection
A few weeks ago, I moved into a new house with more space—including a loft. I was able to set up this little space there, which serves as a gaming room, a place to store my game collection, and a display area for my games. I've wanted to do this for years—it's a great accomplishment! The only thing missing is the couch, which will arrive in a month—then we'll be all set!

Amiss: a first-person horror where the only thing you have is your attention
You're stuck in an endless Soviet apartment block, and the elevator is the only way out. Every floor looks the same as the last one. Almost.
Notice something wrong? Go back to the elevator you came from. All normal? Walk on to the next one. No weapons, no inventory, one rule: keep climbing.
Retro low-poly visuals, grainy texture, dark ambient sound.
