So I used some 30-15 but mostly 25-20 .4 mm snipersling black, piaoyu and precise, I had an old simpleshot torque and a newer simpleshot torque. On both frames my bands last 50-100 shots before the scratches become too big to continue safe shooting. I cleaned up all the factory mold sharp parts, wrapped the right fork in ribbon, office tape, shot with bare fingers, with gloves, with finger bandslap protectors, on really weak bands and on powerful bands, nothing solved the band scratches on the right band. Used 2 types of pouches, snipersling 8mm pouch mostly. On both frames scratches destroy my bands. Now I switched to 3D printed Goblet evo model, and I don't get the scratches (although for now I just have weak bands on, and I still get handslap so I use finger protectors, which weren't the cause of scratches). My fork tips are now less than 25mm wide instead of 30mm. Which band taper and thickness do I use? I shoot short draw at 20m and I would like a lot of speed, which setup for 24mm fork width and 8mm steel short draw gives maximum speed? I'd like to be able to humanely take out bird pests at 20m (my accuracy is definitely sufficient) and I would like all the power I can get. Thanks.
