Hi! I'm new here and just wanted to share the small (3" wood disc base) felt Christmas wreaths I made. Everything is felt except the berry accents and the wood base. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. 😊🎄✨

Question / Advice Help finding something for crafting

I'm not sure if this exists, but this seems like the correct place to ask. I'm looking for sticky gold or silver that will transfer to paper if paper is pressed against it. I have some embossed paper that I want to add gold to the raised parts. Is there something like this?

I know I could use guilding techniques, but I'm trying to avoid the complexity of that.

Thank you.

Question / Advice Looking for more diy / crafty youtubers!

I love watching crafty youtubers and I’m looking for some recommendations. Some of my favorites to watch are Kathleen Illustrated, Beepworld, Leena Norms, and Ariel Bissett. I prefer maximalists over minimalists but in general anything related to making and diy.

Ideally I’d love more POC crafty creators. Most of the ones I watch tend to be white and I’d love to see some different kinds of creators within this niche. I appreciate any suggestions!!

Question / Advice JewleryCrafting Strech cord recommendations?

Im looking for rec's on plastic or elastic strech cord. I dont want to put too much trust in amazon reviews. Id much rather ask folks here.

What brands are durable, thick and will last for long term wear?

I recently bought 5, second hand beaded crystal bracelets that are made with plastic strech cord. But its dry roting, is stiff and hardly streches anymore. I can see the cord crumbling /breaking down when streched. I want to restore these bracelets with new cord before they inevitably break and I lose my crystal beads.

Thank you for your insight and rec's

Finished Craft [Mine] Fun use of washi tape

I have this old soundbar remote that had a plastic back piece that had become sticky. You know the feeling. It doesn't leave a residue but it feels like it should.

So I removed the plastic cover and wrapped it in washi tape. It's not perfect but I really like how it turned out for a first shot. I may redo it and wrap my other remotes just for funzies.

Thoughts?

Question / Advice Paper trees pricing

Post image
33 Upvotes

I enjoy making paper crafts and I ended up making a ton of trees this year. My neighborhood does a small holiday fair and I was thinking of selling some surplus. Whats a reasonable price for these trees? The tall ones are about 11 inches, medium ones about 8 inches and small ones about 5.5 inches.

Question / Advice How to make this hat pink!

Hello! I got this from a thrift store and I need to make it pink for an outfit. Any suggestions on how to go about that? It is a felt/flocked feel but is hard underneath. Kind of sounds like a light cardboard?

Question / Advice Outdoor beaded fruit?

Does anyone have suggestions for beaded fruit that can hold up outdoors for a couple weeks in 40 F to 90 F wet or sunny weather? I bought these beaded fruits, excited to put them up outdoors, but the glue holding the beads on melted and resolidified into these warped shapes, and the color dripped off (and stained my outdoor cushions ☹️). The beads and fruit are easy to source, but I have no idea where to start with the glue! What would you recommend?
