My neighbor left this in the alley behind our houses. Apparently, people walking their dogs have been putting bags of poop in his trash can, and he’s clearly not happy about it.
People put it in mine too, and honestly, I don’t care—as long as it’s bagged and goes in the regular trash, not the recycling or yard waste cans.
I’ve never put any in his cans, but I have used other trash cans around the neighborhood while walking my dog and never really thought anything about it. I usually just clean it up and if there’s a trashcan by the street, I’ll throw it in it.
Now I’m wondering if I’ve been that neighbor without realizing it.
What do y’all think? Is it OK to put a tied bag in someone’s trash can along the alley, or should you always carry it home?

My girlfriend and I voted tonight at the Wake County Commons Building. Zero wait time & very friendly election officials. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes.
There are 18 early voting locations, use the link to find your closest one. They will all be open 8 AM - 7:30 PM from Wednesday - Friday, and Saturday 8 AM - 3 PM.

I could only make it out once this year, on the first Friday evening, so I let some pushed HP5 do the work!

We have this dog that we rescued after he was left by our old neighbors. We've been trying to find a home for him but have come up empty. We've tried everything. Online, rescues, pounds friends and family and nothing. We're not allowed to have 2 dogs cause our lease forbids it. Hes also very energetic, too much for us to handle and our other dog dosent get along well with him. We dont know exatcly how old he is but the vet said hes less than a year old. Hes a pitbull husky mix
Where can I send this dog or who can I ask for help? cause im all out of ideas

Does anyone know of the best spots to get some uranium glass? I’ve just recently started collecting it (have loved it for some time), but can’t seem to locate any in my area (near garner). Thanks in advance!

I work at an apartment community in Raleigh and I am trying to find a place that I can order Baklava for residents in the office. I looked it up but wanted to see if anyone in the area had some good recommendations

Hi yall,
I’m wanting to photograph some odd organized sports/activities that are in the triangle area for a personal project. Not specifically crazy/adrenaline-junkie stuff (though I’m happy to do that too), but just anything that could be considered odd/out of left field.
Taking inspiration from a photographer whose work I love (project linked here for reference). I saw there’s stuff like midget wrestling in the next month or so and some oddball rodeo stuff, but didn’t know what else there was available. If any of yall happen to know of anything that might be worth the while, please let me know!
Thanks in advance :)

My Canon G7X Mark lll was taken (can’t say the real word..?) this past Saturday night at a small bonfire in downtown Raleigh. The person went through my friend and I’s purses which were hidden under our jackets. It was either a teen or a young adult and I’m wondering if someone could let me know if they have seen any postings about selling it and if anyone could please let me know. I had a surprise birthday party thrown for me right before going and it has all my photos from that night and thousands of other photos. I’m making a police report tomorrow on my actual birthday because I’m turning 18. This has really ruined my week, it’s my most important thing I own and there are thousands of memories on the SD card in it. If you know or have seen anything please let me know, I’m begging.

I have a son that will be starting middle school next year. With the magnet applications being open I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Wake Young Mens Leadership Academy.
My son is pretty intelligent. He scored 5s on all his EOGs and in the 95th% and 96th%. He has been in AIG officially since third grade but they would pull him out of class to go to AIG in second grade. We are applying to the magnet schools that have gifted programs but someone told me about WYMLA and that it’s challenging and would be a good fit.
For what its worth. I support public schools and I have no issue with his base school. I know our chances of getting into any magnet is pretty low but you never know. Thank you.

Hi! I'm looking for some suggestions from some locals!
I assist a band based out of Charlotte that is trying to branch out next year to book some shows in other cities, Raleigh being one of them! We're looking for ideas for good, local venues/bars that could support a 4-piece rock band (Covering everything from all genres. Artists on the set include Journey, Alice in Chains, Paramore, Rush, Primus, etc).
If anywhere comes to mind that you wouldn't mind dropping below, we would greatly appreciate it!
If anyone is interested in looking more into what we do, the band is called Queen City Siren. Thanks guys! <3

I am a State employee somewhat near retirement and would like to find a good financial planner. Ideally fee-based and someone who has worked with employees in the state pension system.
Any recommendations, greatly appreciated!

Hello my boyfriends long haired cat (6 years old) recently developed some terrible matts in his fur, this has never been an issue with him and he doesn’t typically do great at the vet (he’s a sweetie just not at the vet lol) so I’m concerned if we bring him to any regular groomer they will turn him away due to him not being the easiest to work with.
Does anyone have any recommendations in the Raleigh area? We’re near Walnut Creek area but willing to travel. Thanks 🙏🏼

Hey everyone I’m new to Raleigh from Greensboro just for the year(couldn’t find anything good in Greensboro so I’ll do a deeper look when my lease ends) but what’s the best food around? Anything fun to do that stays open til midnight such as arcades or anything of that sort?

So I have seen Deborah Ross walking about in my neighborhood and with Halloween around the corner it got me curious. Does she have her porch light on and hand out candy or is she a lights out person? Fun size or king size candy bars? And most importantly does she scoop or a piece or two each? I think how she hands out candy is an indicator of how she would serve us. I already voted but still curious if anyone has trick or treated at her house or any politicians for that matter
