My boy turned 15 in September and passed away on October 22nd. My heart is broken, If you’ve lost your pug what age did they live until? I was hoping for at least another year. 🥺

We recently got our 4 month old girl! I’m very much in love with her but looking for tips. She has ointment for her eyes currently! If anyone has any suggestions/tips I’d love to hear it !

After a week at two different emergency vets for severe pancreatitis, we are bringing our girl home tonight. She is not out of the woods, but she is strong and is showing improvements. I think her being home in her own environment with her family will allow her to rest and recover much better than in a hospital.
She has been drinking water on her own today, pooped earlier (which was a great sign her body is moving again), and has been off of oxygen for 24 hours and doing ok.

It’s a nightly ritual around this house.

She’s just so cute I can’t STAND it

We really miss Frankie a lot since he passed away in November last year. Today is Oct 27 (Asia) and this is our little way of celebrating the day of the dead for pets. We tried to follow and respect the Mexican tradition in our little way and I hope we did not offend anyone. I really miss Frankie and I hope he visits us his Mommy and his two littol siblings.

Any other pugs that love outdoor adventure?

What brand of food do you feed your pug? Dry food, wet food, or a mixture of both?

Hi Pug community. I’m a new Pug owner, I’ve had the above sweet girl for just over a week now. I think she’s mixed with some hound, because she really gets her sniff on when we’re out. She’s a doll! All she wants to do is cuddle when we’re in the house and she’s so well behaved. Doesn’t go for anything she shouldn’t, no accidents, no barking or whining. She’s just calm and just wants lovies. Once we get on the leash, though, she just wants to go go go. We do 5 miles every day, and I’m sure she could do 5 more.

My questions are three fold:

(1) Is the lack of interest in play and toys normal?

(2) Are there any toys you find your pigs gravitating towards? And,

(3) Im home 3 days a week, but at the office for two. I live alone, and occasionally need to be gone for a few hours for work on other days…any suggestions to keep my girl occupied when I’m gone? She doesn’t seem terribly bothered, she’s usually just chilling on her bed or the couch when I get back, but still don’t want her to be bored!

Hi! I'm planning to bring my pug here in Canada for good and I'm wondering what would be the best airline for pugs? My pug is small but fat. We have tried to put her on a diet and she lost weight so far. But her weight is still 8.3kg which is more than the allowable weight in cabin for Korean Air or Turkish Airlines.

I'm wondering if you have any suggestions of other airlines that will allow me to bring my pug. I don't want to put her on diet anymore. She will be coming from the Philippines.

I think I just watched my 9 month old pug figure out in real time, that I am pregnant 😂
I am 20 weeks. But last night she hopped onto my lap, stop, tilted her head, and then put her entire face flat (as much as she could) against my stomach. Since then, she’s been following me around the house like a leech, staying really close if I sit or lay down, AND she doesn’t jump on me.
So I guess, has anyone else experienced something like this?! 😂🩷

My soul dog had a huge scare today. Almost 10 year old spayed female in good health besides being on urinary diet due to past bladder stones.

Started coughing and “honking” Sunday afternoon. Came out of nowhere but otherwise she was in good spirits. She spent the whole evening coughing and gagging and wheezing. Of course I didn’t sleep a bit and sat up with her trying to comfort and calm her down. First thing in the morning called our vet and they had us come right in.

Vet heard her and immediately rushed her back for X-rays and oxygen. Gave her a steroid shot and sedative to help calm her down so she could catch her breath. Within minutes she totally chilled out and started breathing normally. Vet said she likely has kennel cough, but her trachea is very narrow in one spot and she’s having a hard time breathing with all the extra inflammation and stress. Sent us home with meds and going to keep a close eye on her. Vet said this trachea will likely be an issue in the future but she should go back to normal within a few days.

Absolutely soul crushing seeing her panicking, looking at me unable to catch her breath. I cried so much today just out of sympathy and being scared for her. I love this dog so much, I’m going to be devastated the day I lose her. She never had breathing problems so I am crushed that the defects of her breed are finally catching up to her.
