Landed in Auckland this morning from the US and settled into our Airbnb for the first night. Just want to thank GGG for building such an amazing game and a community that brings players from all over the world together in a place this beautiful. For anyone else here for ExileCon, I hope to meet some of you! And for everyone watching from home, see you on the beaches of 1.0 in a few weeks!
I played PoE 1 a lot and I have been holding out on this game until I could get a new PC.
I gotta say it was worth the wait. This game is extremely beautiful in every way, from sound design to animations....just...all of it. The small immersive details that GGG puts into elemental effects like distortion around lightning and steam from explosions...exceptional art direction.
I'm just over 100 hours in on my first character. I just YOLO'd a mercenary, building around the suggested skills (permafrost bolts and fragmentation rounds).
Even without any planning I was able to make my first build work and I am now doing t11 maps pretty comfortably on SSF. Found two perfect jeweler's orbs. Being able to respec easily is a welcome change, if not for that I probably would have had to start over already.
I really like the way SSF works in this game, it's easier compared to PoE 1. I feel like I can do all the content on my first try. Some might say that is too easy but I quite like the difficulty level in the game. I feel like there are way more cool items to find compared to PoE 1 and they are easier to get as well.
I'm also impressed with the amount of end-game content considering the game isn't fully released. The atlas is huge and there seems to be major variety with epic boss fights, trials and side quests etc.
I really have to commend GGG. This is an amazing game and I'm not saying it does everything better than PoE 1 but I will never go back to PoE 1. This is a true successor that met my expectations.
Of course there are always improvements that can be made, but even in a flawed state this game is in its own league.
Does anyone know what happens if you've already unlocked every possible cosmetic and variation from a Mystery Box in PoE2 but continue purchasing more boxes?
Does the game prevent you from buying additional boxes, refund you the points, or give you something else instead?
Also i've noticed while I unlocked all cosmetics and variations for Return of the Ancients it still shows as available to buy more boxes in the shop
Just curious how GGG handles this.
EDIT: I can confirm after trying to buy more of the mystery box I get a message "purchase failed You've reached the purchase limit for this item"
Attempting to push Whirling Slash attack speed to it’s absolute limit. The game can hardly keep up. For context I’m using a rare spear with 2.92 APS base on Gemling.
Hey, I'm the developer behind POE2WAY. I'm based in Korea, where I also run a stock-market website I built. That project is about helping people catch up on the day's market in one place, and while working on it I kept thinking it'd be fun to have something similar for PoE2.
So I borrowed the heatmap idea and built it around the Currency Exchange. The tiles are sized by the value traded over the last 24 hours, converted to divines, and colored by the price change in whichever currency you pick. I added a 24h/72h comparison of exalts, chaos and divines above it too. A material can look more expensive in exalts even when its price in divines has barely moved.
I also wanted to see where the activity was shifting, so I added the Leaders page. It looks for items taking a larger share of trading within their category than they did over the previous week. The Lead tag also takes their price change into account: it has to beat the category average. You can look back through the calendar to see what was getting traded on earlier days.
From there, Browse is for digging into a particular set of items. The screenshot uses a preset for items near their seven-day low that went on to rise after the same point last league, sorted by traded value. You can tweak the category, price, trade activity and other filters, then save the combination if it's something you'll want to check again.
Of course, a filter like that needs some context, so the item pages show the actual past-league records alongside the current price. For Breachstone, the change from D+54 to D+68 was +12.1% in Runes of Aldur but -44.0% in Dawn of the Hunt, in divines. The other two seasons have no prices for those points, so I've left them blank. You can also look at observed hourly price patterns in your own time zone.
And if you've been away for a while, the timeline pulls together what happened across the league. The first three days are shown individually, then days 4–7 together, followed by weekly blocks. Each one shows how the Divine rate moved, where trading was concentrated and the biggest risers and fallers. The screenshot is from days 36–42, when Omens were up 15.4% while the Divine/Exalted rate fell 3.1%. It's a way to catch up before opening individual charts.
All of this comes from filled trades on GGG's in-game Currency Exchange, collected hourly, so it covers exchange items rather than rare or unique gear. For the league comparisons, D+0 is the first UTC date with observed exchange data. Past seasons are there for context; I wouldn't assume this one will follow the same path.
It's up here if you'd like to have a look. No account or install needed:
Super fun to play this build (and potentially more fun if u wanna play with mountain splitter, but I took the easier 15% max life).
So the ideas of the build are pretty simple. Playing around a loreweave with "attacks have added phys damage equal to x% of max life" (I didn't have the currency to go for one with 5%, but they exist) and "fire damage also contributes to bleeding magnitude." We stack as much life as possible, as well as as much regen as possible - here the time-lost ruby was sooo helpful, providing about 90% inc life regeneration rate, since we need all the life regen we can get in order to counteract Berserk's degen.
Going for all the sources of maximum rage, as well as for Ichlotl's Inferno coupled with the convert of phys to fire from Fury of the King, my final rage effects end up being something like:
- 214% more damage (main rage effect)
-214 % increased fire damage (ichotl)
-214% increased armour (vengeful fury
at 123 maximum rage. If we wanna go crazy we could go for Crown of eyes + Mystical rage, for another 428% inc attack damage, but I feel like that would be a slight overkill atm since damage is not this build's problem.
What I've also done is basically having 100% ancestrally boosted rampage (with Fists of War III for basically permanently doubling ancestral boosted effect whenever I press ancestral cry) by having almost permanent ancestral cry buff (which I believe is also improved by Ferocious roar, as per tooltip) with the help of Fury of The King mod's "skills which generate glory generay 5 glory every 2 sec" and going for some increased glory generation, as well as the 50% inc glory rune on gloves.
So ye, hateforge gloves are super helpful on increasing the max rage and maintaining max rage as well. Build was pretty cheap compared to other builds I've made, like 1k div tops including mageblood (tho I have some pretty dope rings I've made myself and idk where those would be priced, but that's just minmaxing so). But it's the only build I've made so far (done like 20+ this league lol, i think i'm a buildachoolic) that can breeze though lv 81 juiced sims and 200% deli without 1231231231231231 20% quality jewels blablal.
Ye I wrote a lot about it, but I LOVE the result lol.
The only problem is the meeeeeeeeeeega giga slow attack speed and the start of my rampages; if anyone has any ideas on how that could be fixed I'd love u)
I've posted this on r/pathofexile2builds, but I said why not post it here too so there u go
Hey Guys, sorry for the dumb Question, but i try to farm the from nothing Diamond from the King of the Mists and there was this post where i read, that it need to be "+4 Crux of Nothingness". So i assume this is the Difficulty from the Bossfight but how can i turn it up?
Is it depending on the Map Level or is it something else?
Currently I’m playing a ward/armour stacking low life infernalist doing spark coc/coa at multi mirror level and it’s incredibly strong. I played ward infernalist last season too but it wasn’t low life. However I’m looking to change and fully respec my gear as I always wanted to be a mace main.
Since I got the low life rune ward/armour part down, and I always wanted to try being a mace build main (Crit focused) it’s essentially just switching out the weapon and all jewels etc but most of the armor slots are interchangeable. I have started theory crafting a Crit based mace build that relies on ward+armour.
The main question is, do i go infernalist or gemling? I have both at lvl 98, so either works, but I always wanted to try the martial infernalist archetype the problem is that gemling seems better in almost every aspect which is why I’m posting here for advice and also I’m thinking there might be a huge issue with mana if i go gemling (I need assistance with this part in particular)
Second question is, earthshatter or shield wall?
Here’s my breakdown of the pros and cons of each class that I’m seeing.
・infernalist
1. Insane Crit damage scaling. 1.5 more from ascend, 1.3 more from low life, 1.35 more again from weapon mod+implicit. Basically 50% more damage compared with gemling.
2. Can fix mana by infernal flame (self damage not an issue)
3. Insanely easy to scale ignite (all damage adds to ignite)
・gemling
1. More survivability through Crit immunity
2. Gets more extra cold damage from verglas (nearly enough to overcome the extra Crit damage infernalists get but adds slight clunk)
3. More armour (a lot more) through arctic armour and more from scavenged plating
4. Almost 50% extra attack speed from alchemists boon.
5. Potential to use whirling slash in offhand as a faster way of moving around
6. Huge area increase for contagion ignite spreading
Maybe I’m over complicating things, but although gemling seems better in almost every aspect can you reliably ignite stuff for contagion? Infernalist will be doing massive ignites it seems. Also, I don’t want to waste 2 slots on coc/coa but if I put frost wall and contagion together, won’t that drain all my mana instantly? Because either coc/coa will proc an insane amount of times, and I think I can regulate frost wall not procing so much by adding a support gem which adds a cooldown, but that will interfere with contagion by giving it a cooldown.
Final question but can herald of ice be used with contagion? I feel like the explosions might stop the ignite spread, but herald of ice is a good way to proc armor break… What about herald of fire?
Just an hour of play before work, this from a Lightless void. And a random Jamanra spawn in the map before, dropping 3 faded crisis fragments. Will be smiling the whole workday. Best of luck, exiles!
Last time I played was like either 0.1 or 0.2, campaign was great, end game was utter trash. Like I didn't find a citadel in roughly 30 hours of doing maps I want to say back then. Not to mention how bad the maps layout was. Has it gotten better? Was excited to see the full release coming out in December and I want to go crazy on if it has gotten better.
I've played many ARPGs in my life since D1 and I've traded a lot. I know I'm gonna need almost 1k hours and 15-20 meta builds to fully recognize the best gear, but could someone give me some advice on any uniques or items that are considered the "panacea" right now? Just to help me out a bit. Also, let me know if there's a specific page or list I should check out.
Noob with 800 hours here asking for the first time.
I have a level 82 Maji Talisman of which I have annulled all modifiers, so it's a rare item. First question, is it even worth to continue at this point?
I have Chaos spammed it for each and every Chaos Orb I have found trying to hit t1 or t2 Phys. Attack %. So far over 100 Orbs, but no luck. Out of those 100+ Chaos Orbs, I've seen any tier Phys Attack % maybe about 5 times. I can't believe how rare it is.
I know I should find a (fractured?) exceptional base, but after full Atlas and a couple hundred maps , I've seen total of 0 Exceptional Talismans (and like 3 Exceptional items overall). Maybe I'm looking at a wrong place?
My current Talisman can so and so clear corrupted t15 maps with 8 modifiers, but I'm level 94 and the Talisman is from level 65-70, if I remember correctly. But the thing is my full clear speed per map is about 15-25 min depending on content. So it's slow as hell. So the second question: Should I just skip full clearing and focus on specific content?
So I guess this is more than just a crafting qusttion. Sorry for the long post.
