Hey all, I posted this overlay here a little while ago and got a lot of good feedback, so here’s what’s changed since then. Short version: price checking got a lot of work, and there’s a leveling guide built in now for the new coming poe1/2 leagues.
Had a bit of a visual upgrade as well.
I have just started a fresh poe2 player and will be using the overlay all the way to end game in preparation for poe1/2 new leagues and optimising along the way switching between both linux and windows so bug testing gets good coverage.
There has been tonnes of fixes and new features (to many to list check out github) but the standouts are below.
Price checks (F3)
It compares each listing with your actual item now, instead of averaging whatever the search turned up. Listings with way better mods than yours don’t push your price up anymore.
If nothing listed is really like your item, it shows a range instead of making up one number. Before, it would happily tell you a ring was worth 333 div.
It skips your own listing if you’ve already put the item up.
Cheap listings aren’t all thrown out as price-fixing baits anymore, which was making some stuff come out way too low.
Waystones and tablets are priced on their actual numbers (tier, mod count, rarity, pack size etc.) and only against listings that are at least as good.
Prices show in chaos too (PoE2).
There are Too low / About right / Too high buttons on every price, so you can tell me when it’s wrong. I’m using these to tune it.
League start (new tab)
The full campaign route for PoE1 and PoE2, with every passive point, trial/ascendancy, res and spirit reward counted as you go.
A small overlay over the game shows your current step (Ctrl+Shift+L).
Optional: it can follow your zones by reading the game’s Client.txt log, so it ticks off steps as you play. It’s off by default, it only reads the area and level lines, and nothing gets sent anywhere.
All optional quests are listed, or tick Endgame rush to skip everything except what actually matters (it still keeps every passive point and permanent buff).
If you swap between your main and a leveling character a lot like I do, it keeps track of which one the route belongs to and won’t get messed up by your main running maps.
Other stuff
Best runes / soul cores per socket, tested by Path of Building on your build.
Guide builds (.build files from Mobalytics/Maxroll) can be loaded straight into the app.
The loot filter highlights more useful stuff.
It’s free and open source. It doesn’t read game memory or touch game files, and the trade site rate limits are respected. Download: poe2upgrade.com
The route data is from exile-leveling (PoE1) and Splitstone (PoE2), so big thanks to those guys.
If something prices weird or the route skips a step on you, let me know (the log has everything I need).
PS - yes i made this with claude and the help of other github contributers (Thanks Spardutti!).
Happy hunting exiles!
