Look at the fluff on these toe beans now. 4 months of being an inside boy and not having to pay the rent

[2026; EDIT]
just to avoid any [MORE] hoopla from anyone:
please follow the rules of the subreddit and learn our removal reasons. it is already a conditional subreddit; you don't have to have posted in [r/notmycat](r/notmycat) to be here but at the very least DISCUSS HOW YOU GOT YOUR CAT IN THE TITLE/CAPTIONS so we know you're not a bot. it doesn't have to be a paragraph, but we need to know your cat is yours.
so many subreddits are overrun by reposts and bots, we don't want to be like them.
that said you are well within your rights to head to any other cat subreddit, including [r/cats](r/cats). i genuinely don’t understand how this became the first stop when [r/notmycat](r/notmycat) exists.
do us a favor and make it [EASY] for us to spot the bots;
we have 6 mods with only one to two of them active.
it doesn't seem like we are looking for more.
i know i personally handle 80% of submissions at least (sue me, blame me, yadda yadda) with limited access/power.
for example, i can't even pin this post aka i can't do everything….
lastly, judging by our inbox, some of you forgot that "behave like you would in real life" portion of reddit rules.
stop cursing at us, we are strangers.
EDIT: for clarity; i can now sticky the post!
ETA: i now have “full”-ish mods.

Lost black male cat with tipped ear and missing fur on nose. He literally went missing the night he was adopted by someone in Santa Monica! I am very devastated as the cat was very attached to me. he had been a stray I took in but couldn't keep (my cat attacked him)
This really sucks as the cat was from over here in
Glendora which is pretty far and VERY different than hectic Santa Monica. I've gone out there searching three times since October 21st when he went missing and yes I've put up posters and online PawBoost etc

Loki is my oldest cat and he’s 5 years old. Majestic, gentle, and the smartest creature I have ever met.

Bug Meat got spayed today and I can’t help but look back at how far we’ve come. She was 8 weeks old when we found her living alone under the shed. She was spicy all of 2 days once we started socializing her. Now she’s a snuggle bug who loves our two other cats. I’m happy to see her so happy :’)

This was the beginning of the year, she got fully vaccinated, chipped, got a passport and got to go on the plane with me from Grand Canaria to Sweden.

Meet Desmond, 4.5 month old adopted from cat lodge last week, allowing new guy to feed him some Churu. He's very shy and skittish, not much interested in posing. He likes to zoom around in the dark, still hides for much of the day. He's gradually letting us see more of him. Our resident elderly ladycat isn't much impressed with him, but she only hisses softly when their paths cross. He's warming up slowly. 🐈⬛🐾🐾🧡

This little guy has been hanging out with me in my backyard for a few months. He was super skinny so I started feeding him a month ago. Now I’m quarantining in my spare room and his vet appointment is on Friday. lol really wasn’t looking for another cat, but he’s so sweet and friendly and he won’t survive our winter outside.
