Trick or treating
Hii im 16 in gr12 and i was wondering if im allowed to trick or treat?
Iβve went every year but last year some people were refusing to give me candy saying im too old. Iβve been invited to a few partyβs but id rather go trick or treating. Do you think I can go or have any recommendations on neighbourhoods that wouldnβt be rude?
thankss

Are there any restaurants for the homesick maritimer in the Niagara region?
My sister's craving Greco-style pizza, garlic fingers, donairs and such. Also is there a decent sub and poutine shop to be found? Also, maritime-style Chinese food.

Was I actually required to stop here? Pedestrians on a median island gave me the finger and yelled βFuck you.β
I've been driving for over 25 years, and something happened today on Niagara River Parkway that genuinely confused me.
I was driving along the main road when I noticed two pedestrians standing on the raised median island in the middle of the road. They had already crossed the opposite lane but had not entered my lane.
I checked the signs as I approached. The small STOP sign was facing the adjacent multi-use path, not my direction. I didn't see a STOP or YIELD sign facing my lane.
Since the pedestrians were still standing on the island, I continued driving. Traffic on this road moves fairly quickly, so I also didn't think stopping unnecessarily would be a good idea.
As I passed, one of the pedestrians gave me the middle finger and yelled βFuck you.β
I was genuinely surprised by that reaction.
My understanding is that a pedestrian refuge island allows people to cross the road in two stages, waiting for a safe gap in traffic before crossing the second half.
So here's my question for Ontario drivers:
Was I legally required to stop for pedestrians waiting on the median island, even though they hadn't entered my lane and there was no STOP sign facing me?
If I misunderstood the rules, I'm happy to be corrected. But if I didn't, why would someone react so aggressively toward a driver simply continuing along the main road?
I've attached dashcam footage so people can judge the situation for themselves.
I'd appreciate opinions based on Ontario traffic laws, not just personal preferences about who should be courteous to whom.

Am I the only one who seems to risk their life when driving in this area?
Never have I commuted through anything as insane as rural roads in Niagara. There's one area that used to be 80km/h area that is now 60km/h and every other day I have some jack-ass in a black pickup truck 5 feet from my bumper because I'm only going 70km/h. Im so sick and tired of being bullied driving to and from work because I only go 10km/h over the limit.
What the hell is going on in this area? Whether its in the falls, thorold, or st. Catharines. 50km/h zones, or the 80km/h zones between the cities. Its nearly always some toxic looking angry moron in a pickup truck, that weaponizes their size to try and get people to go way over the limit. Never have I driven anywhere with so many angry people in pickup trucks driving aggressively, and I don't ever see police giving out tickets. Surely I can't be the only one putting up with this crap?

Is Fallsview waterpark worth it if you donβt have kids?
Wanting to go to an indoor waterpark but itβs just me and my SO. GWL is geared more to kids. Is Falls view like this too? Anywhere else in Niagara for within an hour of GTA that would be better suited for us?

Any Niagara WoW players? Weβve got a growing local group
Hey Niagara!
I run an Ontario WoW community that started as a small local group about a month ago and has somehow grown to over 300 members.
Weβve got people from all over the province and a dedicated Hamilton/Niagara group, so Iβm hoping to find some more WoW players from around Niagara.
Thereβs a good mix of people playing WoW Forever, Retail and Classic, from casual players and people returning to the game to raiders and PvPers.
The whole idea is pretty simple: make it easier for Ontario WoW players to find people who actually live somewhat nearby and build some local connections.
If youβre around Niagara and play WoW, come hang out:
Hope to see some more Niagara folks in there! π
