Y'all got some more of that weirdcore/dreamcore/liminal space songs?

• Upvotes

I'm quite fond of this genre lately and have been searching all over YT for melodies that comfort me while making me feel uneasy at the same time. I've known quite a few already, so can anybody suggest less popular songs or those that aren't on my playlist (listed below)?

It's just a burning memory

All that follows is true

Libet's delay

Trauma

The lobotomy

Mice on Venus

Fallen down

Dialtone

C418-Subwoofer lullaby

Homage

Sleepy eyes

You not the same

Old doll (idk if this counts but it gives me the same feeling)

Hi

There were many things for which we exist

13 guardian angels standing guard 'round the side of your bed

Snowfall

Thanks yall:D

Music journey #56 and #57

• Upvotes

Hi hi hi

Another double, same old reason, work is killing me 😔✌️

Day 56 and 57 of letting my phone pick random recommendations for youuu

Yesterday's and Today's list (26.10.2026 & 27.10.2026):

  1. Kanye West - No more parties in la (absolute classic atp, Kanye is a real rap genius)

  2. Yung Lean - Princess daisy (another genius, i remember the exact day when this song came out and it felt out of this world, that shy guitar in the background is everything, mixed with leans deep voice creates that dark smoky vibe, you feel like watching private performance in some obscure jazz bar whilst drinking whisky in your best suit covered in blood idk)

  3. Vaundy - Chainsaw blood (hyper song, perfect for gym)

  4. Giriboy - Tongue wrestling (korean rap, giri has really groovy vibe and mixing it with chill but fun instrumental and sik-k just feels like running through the grassy field with butterflies and rainbows around you, it may not be the most accuratebut thats how i see myself when i listen to this song)

  5. MRCH - O (korean r&b, this song sounds either like first flowers shyly peeking trough the snow cape or the first snowflakes, i cant decide. Either way very ethereal and delicate song)

  6. Prince - Where you were mine (funk rock i believe, I love prince sm, the instrumental is quite light and cheerful whilst being actually sad aha)

  7. Amon Amarth - Free will sacrifice (viking metal at its finest, i love how the chorus sounds like, its almost like the vocal becoming one with the riff)

  8. Thaiboy Digital - Fate (thaiboy is always good, this song is really chill and sweet, somehow my phone labeled it as a glitchcore)

  9. Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine fix (im not sure if its black, gothic or symphonic metal, probably mix of both, heavy instrumental blends beautifully with a soft female voice)

  10. Macico - blue (japanese pop, feels like warm but cloudy day when you spend time with your friend on the rooftop, song that just feels like a warm wind)

I hope you'll guys enjoy ✨️

Recommend me songs that sound really similar or exactly like Cancer by Meat Beat Manifesto

• Upvotes

Looking for the same mysterious ominous key vibe. The sound after the sentence “this is cancer” gets me so in the mood but don’t ask me what mood it gets me in there’s a lot to unpack

Heavily stimulating music with a good beat

I found out I need decent stimulating music to focus properly (adhd partly) and need some suggestions.

I Like 'Robot Rock' by Daft punk, 'Da funk' by Daft punk, and I LOVE 'You spin me right round'.

I seem to just have a thing for the clicking/almost cranking noises and just overall beats I guess lmao

Any good suggestions I suggestions? Also sorry if I sound especially fancy. I wanted people to know heavily specifically what songs I was talking about.

More songs like Scott James - Ropes

I’m addicted, I need more recommendations. This song literally feels like what I would feel, hear, and see when I die.

(Any era of music), just something that feels like I’m transcending out of my body.

Songs with women yelling

I'm looking for songs like Crazy and Pacer (both by Doechii), You Make Me Sick! by Ashnikko, and Smack A Bitch by Rico Nasty

I made a post like this maybe a year or two ago and got overwhelmed with responses (thank you for that) but I got a lot of songs that weren't really "yelly" and also songs with male lead singers even though I specifically asked for women. I did find some gems last time, but this time I'd like to focus more on solo artists than bands. Delilah Bon was a good recommendation for example!

I need something that SCREAMS female empowerment, you know? And maybe a little man hate lol

Thank you in advance!

Songs similar to Arrastracueros - Latin Jazz Fusion

Hello -- please delete if this post doesn't fit the subreddit.

I came across this song called Arrastracueros which is a track by Maria Augusta, Jazz Mon Bar, and Quarteto Novo.

Here's a link to the song which is only instrumental:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mddxMEqSoFM

My question is can anyone suggest similar sounding songs? I swear this really sounds like a cover of a song from the 70s but I can't place the song. Maria Augusta is known for doing covers in a bassa nova style.

I don't think it's Dancing with the Moonlight but that's all I think of when I hear this song. Thanks for your help with suggestions.

Wrote down the albums I would one day want as a physical copy (cd, record, etc.) give me recs based on my list?

If you can read my handwriting haha. Keep in mind I have no idea if all of these are possible to acquire a physical copy of, they’re all just albums I really like. My only thing is that I’d prefer albums/eps over single song recs. Thanks!

I could also do no songs but that’s boring. I kept searching for songs about “quiet”, “silence” or “mime” but none stuck with me.

i have a VERY SPECIFIC itch for synth choirs ambience sound and im looking for a genre/subgenre that is ambience and has a high use of it.

i got some music here that will show yall the specific sounds im looking for on a genre.

threeam - get out of my head (the beginning and end)

frank klepacki - act on instinct (abt 1:39, it also have bell pianos which is something i also absolutely love in music, i have found bell pianos on some new age and 90s pop.. if such ambience genre im looking for has these too, massive bonus)

portwave - nightmare (1:11)

portwave - epigram (over the whole song)

frank klepacki - dusk hour (2:34 he also uses bell piano, awesome)

final bonus points: low use of drums and any beats as im looking for an ambience genre/subgenre with this AUTISTICALLY SPECIFIC sound (i am actually diagnosed with grade 2 autism lol so dw im not being disrespectful here, im just explaining it is VEEEERY specific and hardly ill be satisfied with something that deviates from these very specific sounds)

Modern darker jazz artists

I’m trying to get into jazz but unsure where to start. I learned and played some beginner jazz essentials back when I was a kid, but those don’t really fit my taste any more.

I generally like darker moodier artists like Low, Have a Nice Life, or GY!BE.

I love distortion, and would like to hear some modern, active artists.

Thanks for the suggestions

Songs that every 25-30yr old likes?

I’m going to be hanging out with some coworkers outside of work for the first time in a few days and I’m trying to make a playlist full of songs that will generally be liked by people in this age range.

I’m also in this age range but my music taste is not suited to everyone’s tastes. I started a playlist with songs I feel comfortable playing around other people but I’d like some more suggestions!

Not necessarily full breakup songs. Like Expectations by Olivia Rodrigo/Chappell Roan. Or You’re Not The One by Sky Ferriera
