Help Unfortunately, it takes about 1.5–2 minutes for my new Sony MZ-RH1 to establish a USB connection with my MacBook Pro. Is this normal, or is there any way to speed it up? I've heard that old USB 2.0 hubs might help?

Today, at around 3pm a tragedy struck - my beautiful Onkyo Hi-MD unit, MD-133 suffered a failure of display and all buttons. It loads minidisks and ejects them but shows no other signs of life 😢

Help MZ-N920 Recording Issue

I have an MZ-N920 that reads and plays discs, but when it comes to recording simply erases the disc.
I suspect this is because the mechanism that releases the recording head is not working (the device is almost silent when attempting to start recording while normally you'd hear the mechanism that allows the recording head to drop).
If anyone is familiar with this issue, is there a fix? I had a search but didn't find any exact matches. Thanks.
