OPINION Can everyone chill with the Ty mock trades?
The media will always post 1,000 mock trades about our guys every year. Anytime we have anyone that is playing good NBA basketball there are 1,000 accounts photoshopping them into heat/lakers/knicks/bulls/rockets or whatever other jersey.
There is no reason to think our front office is even considering a trade involving Ty right now.
The Grizzlies are 4-0, Ty is averaging 30. Can we not just enjoy this for a minute? Have some fun while things are going very well after what we’ve endured over the last 3 seasons?
It just pains me to hop on here and see so many mock trades involving my Pharoh.

OPINION Ty Jerome = Steve nash
Reaching their peak at a later age (30), Making a big leap after switching teams. I’m not saying they play alike, but if Ty keeps this up their career paths are very similar.

OPINION Road back to back wins, for 3-0 after game @Kings, 4-0 now with second win in a week against Jazz. MEM for sure most pleasant surprise team record first week of season
Yeah, Kings are one of worst squads, very soft bad defensive team, but they were in almost full roster there at home, MEM without Edey at 5. Defensive scheme limited Domantas who came hot in this game. LaVine inspiring and some others making problems for Memphis D. Back up lineup once again unreal D rating in small sample, probably coincidence.
Booz Beef pairing 4-5 so far looked best fit.
Similar as GS game in California, Grizzlies had controlling lead which erased in fourth quarter and again fantastic finish with huge run daggering home side.
Three highlight plays; Jerome-Booz pick and roll, Stewart two hand easy dunk from Booz paint pasa. Jerome stepback clutch dagger, Spencer routine 3 after O board
Ty Jerome, A-
Better in second half after too many rush decisions. So far top3 in MVP and clutch of the year award
Jaylen Wells, A-
Efficient, OKish on Acuff jr
Cedric Coward, A
Fully commited, splashing from perimeter, active rebounding. Double double
Cam Boozer, B+
Continued where he left in San Francisco , got colder. Had problems 1 vs 1 on Achiuwa both sides.
Quinten Post, B-
Bounce back, solid
Scottie Pippen Jr, D
Quiet, bad playmaking again
Cam Spencer, A-
This is role what suits him. Splash them
Taylor Hendricks, D-
No sense
GG Jackson , D
Not well. Trade value gone
Jerami Grant, C
So so.
Isaiah Stewart, A-
He was one of underated D bigs last years, will do anything for team. Injury not made any damage so far
Utah Jazz rematch in Salt Lake City
Self confidence exist, this time other hero(es). TBH, we have no injury problems like others and early im the game host lost two great frontcourt starters in Lauri Markkanen and JJJ(OUT until Christmas time). Once again bad half ending and in the end calmness, solid defensively. Jazz scored 103 and 105 versus Grizzlies. Not a lot.
Ty Jerome, B
45 points in Jazz opener. Now worst scoring in a while. When he is cold, he creats for teammates.
Jaylen Wells, A-
4/4 good to great games. 3&D potential of 8/10 upside role. Shooting with confidence, whenever is missmatch he attacking like im first minute going to midrange.
Ced Coward, A
15-11, 16-11 b2b. He is fine. Struggles ocercomed. Huge competitor.
Cam Boozer, B
Scored layups! Rebounding already high level. Accidentaly injured Lauri, who is hard matchup for everyone to caught him running around screens. Booz and Grizz had luck first game and Lauri missed before injury easy 3. Back to basket ISO should be his bully ball moment in rookie year and he do that on this game mostly. Scored, drawing fouls, making free throws from them.
Zach Edey, D
Rough. Almost not a single thing functioned. Free throws, block Peterson right layup, rare moments. Looked like he not belongs. Bamba dominated on him, JJJ playing with Edey before his injury too. Bad day in office.
Scotty Pippen Jr, B+
Role play descriprion: Impuls. That he brings when entered from bench.
Cam Spencer, B+
UTA a lot serious at Da than SAC, not getting so easy opportunities. 5 ass/0 to. 5 boards!
Jerami Grant, C+
Will get starter role here and there. So far so good
GG Jackson , C
He is fighting.
Quinten Post, B+
Stretch big things.
Isaiah Stewart, C
Careful on minutes control.
highlight plays; Coward after D board running the court and attractive assist for easy dunk
Grant 3+1
Now coming stronger schedule

POTENTIALLY! FOR AT LEAST RIGHT NOW! Kinda Worse But We'll Take It Too.
Ty: JJJ harm was none of his fault. His performance was helpful. Poor 3p vs. moderate wealthy assist.
Coward: Nails threes, does dirty job and outrebounds Bamba. Mid range shooting can't stain that.
Wells: 3 years after and opponents still deceived by his shield. Never spot his hidden dagger.
Booz: He looks calm and focused whether he's cooking or struggling. Strong armpits; just ask Lauri.
Edey: He wasn't having any issue with Utah's starting 5. Then Mo Bamba happened.
Beef: His worst game so far. JJJ and Lauri out apparently got him even more puzzled than Zach.
Cam: More efficient aport than may look. Suffered on defense still hold his ground.
Pippin: Late Pre Seasoning hard mode. He should had been Collier's nightmare. He wasn't.
GG: Ups & downs. Ups higher and longer than normal. Lowkey good game. Midkey even.
Jerami: Pro beyond reproach. Efficient production working away from the paint by Tuomas' design.
No Post: His best game so far. Underrated low-rebounding Center style. Natural born box outer.
----------------------------------
Tuomas: He didn't want those Utah's injuries. Both because decency and gameplan change.

OPINION Do we have half-court offense, yet?
I need y'all's help with this. I'm not sure what indicators to look for. I know that in the past Ja would bring the ball down the floor while everyone else stood around and watched. Now I'm seeing a lot more movement and team execution, but is this legit "half-court offense"?
Do y'all think we have it now? How do we know if we have a successful half-court offense?

Is anyone watching the Lakers vs Blazers game? I thought that type of ref fucking up a game was exclusive to us? Those morons are trying to bend all games in favor of those "big market" floppers! The league need to solve this!

OPINION Mentality and Culture Shift
I love watching our new guys play so much and the main reason is their mentality. We have DAWGS. I swear I mean no shade to our previous core, cus there’ll always be a place in my heart for Ja and JJJ.
I remember the days where Ja wouldn’t get whistles for fouls, and start playing bad, and everyone in the game threads would kind of just accept that ja getting upset at the lack of whistles affected his play and made him play worse. I remember when we just had to deal with our near 7 foot power forward being scared of rebounding. Well now we have DAWGS, tonight we faced one of the most devilishly refereed games and not once did I feel like our players had given up, they powered through it and won the game on the road, something our team used to be notoriously bad at.
I know it sounds minor, but during the game I saw boozer and edey crash into each other for a board, I remember the days where if their were two guys for a board, they’d both assume the other was getting it.
Ty Jerome had his off game, but he’s amazing driving the ball and getting to his floater plus a great off the dribble shooter, overall a fantastic scorer. Boozer is going to miss a lot of shots, but he’s shown that when he’s not scoring he’s impacting the game defensively, with his rebounding and with his excellent decision making. Coward is relentless, Edey’s gravity and impact is unreal, Wells is finally finding his spots and his transition play has vastly improved. Look at players like jerami grant and beef stew, grant is that veteran presence who can help steer the ship in crisis and get us to the free throw line when we need offense and stew just tries so damn hard.
I love this new core so much, and I’ll always love our old guys, but the truth is I haven’t had this much fun watching grizzlies basketball since the 2023 regular season.
