Hey Melbourne! I’ve got a spare ticket to the Asian Comedy Showcase this Saturday and thought I’d try something I haven’t done before: invite someone from Reddit along. 🙂

I’m a guy in my early 40s, easygoing and curious, and keen to meet someone new for a few laughs. Just a friendly, platonic outing—any gender welcome. I enjoy trying things I haven’t done before and hearing how other people see the world—even if it means getting the punchline five minutes late. 🙂

It’s a lineup of Asian stand-up comedians, performing in English. I don’t always get every joke straight away, but figuring out the references is honestly part of the fun for me. We can compare notes afterwards!

Hey everyone! 33M living in the inner northern suburbs.

Lately I've been wanting to get out of my usual routine, meet some new faces and try things I wouldn't normally do. Figured I'd put myself out there and see who else is in the same boat!

A little about me: I'm into old films, checking out new restaurants, board games and the occasional video game. Also "trying" to get back into the gym.

Would be great to meet some easygoing people to share a laugh with, explore Melbourne and hopefully build some genuine friendships along the way. Doesn't matter if we have completely different interests either. Always happy to discover something new.

I host a social reading event called Enchanted Hours over at Moondrop Bar and we have a Dungeon Crawler Carl themed (fantasy/LitPRG genre) tonight.

You don't need to have read the books, but it will help if you bring a book along as we will read for an hour (quiet reading) then get into more of a social connection/chat session after.
