Algebra Three kissing ellipses
I found two ways to solve this one with pen & paper, one quite elegant, the other with lots of algebra.

Hi everyone!
Because of the influx of unsolvable, annoying, arbitrary, and spammy posts, I’ve established a few rules for posts. Basically, we are no longer allowing “math puzzles” that rely on sequences of numbers or shapes. There is an infinite number of solutions and they’re plain not fun.
Also, I put in a rule about not linking to other games. Puzzles posted here should be contained in the post itself.
Have a great weekend!

Hello there,
You must use three colors to paint all n integers from 1 to n in such a way that when you add two numbers that are painted with two differents colors, the result cannot be painted with the third color.
(For example, the result of Blue + Red cannot be painted Green)
Problem 1 (easy) :
Find an easy way to make such a painting that works for every integer n (> 3)
Remark leading to a harder problem :
Such a painting is quite easy to do by using one of the three colors on only 1 integer or, at least, a very few integers.
But what if you want to maximize the use of the least used color?
Problem 2 (harder) :
The least used of the three colors can of course not be given to more than 1/3 of the n integers, show that it cannot in fact exceed 1/4.
(And show a painting algorithm that works with 1/4)
Have fun!

The Game
- Roll 2 dice
- The wooden numbers flip back. Drop 1-2 numbers based on your roll. They can be any 1 or 2 numbers that add to the sum of you dice roll
- Try to get every number down
It’s pretty self explanatory, but say I roll a 3 & 5 on the dice: I can drop any combination of 8 only, 7&1, 6&2, 3&5 - then those numbers are out.
I’ve been curious about if this game can be “solved,” in the sense that there is always an optimal route to maximizing your odds of a victory. If anyone else finds it fascinating I’d love to hear thoughts on it.

After playing way too many number games that just involve swiping and merging, I wanted to make something that felt a bit more like a traditional logic puzzle.
The result is SumSplitter. The core mechanic is simple: instead of merging numbers, you swipe to split them in half. The two halves drop into adjacent empty cells. Your goal is to place them so that every row and column matches its target sum.

Find an alternative expression for 1618 that uses the same set of four digits (1,1,6,8) and basic math operations including square root, factorial, and decimals (terminating or repeating).
Note: This problem was created by a human (me) and should be solved by a member of the same species.

Before solving this, please write down your guess based on visual inspection of the image. Use Pythagoras’ theorem to solve this problem. Descartes’ kissing theorem is not allowed (except if you are a descendant of Descartes himself).
