Susan Saint James, Emmy-Winning Star of ‘Kate & Allie’ and ‘McMillan & Wife,’ Dies at 80
She was in one episode of the show, "War Co-Respondent", as the very memorable Aggie O'Shea.

Discussion Season Five would have been better if Margaret had gottwen engaged towards the middle/end of the season.
This has been talked about on this sub before, but I would have introduced Margaret’s engagement perhaps halfway through the season, not the third episode.
Larry Linville didn’t have many ways to develop Frank’s character (not that it needed developing, necessarily) once Margaret was engaged, but Frank became even more one-note and more insufferable than he had been in previous seasons. Larry and Loretta worked so well together and it’s almost like Larry was left without his dancing partner, in a way.
We still get some good Frank moments (“a little youth would be nice for a change” and his talking with BJ during Hawk and BJ’s mock fight), but they are few and far between.
I think Frank Burns works best as a character when he has a sparring partner. He was always on some moral high horse when he was with Margaret, and she buoyed him up, but once he lost that sometimes-contentious relationship, there was no one on his side. By season 5 they had largely done away with the pranks and hijinks between Hawkeye and Frank, and so the two were just trading insults, which makes for a bit of lacklustre TV.
Would anyone else have appreciated if Margaret had gotten engaged later in the series?

Deactivation of the 4077
A thought occurred to me as I read the other post about the 4077 in the 70s. Whether it was meant to be the 50s the show was set in, or actually meant to the 70s of Vietnam, I dunno. It got my mind digging into a little bit of a rabbit hole...
Now, Army types correct me if I'm incorrect here. The 4077 wouldn't have deactivated in the way we saw onscreen. It would've rotated back to its Stateside home before reduction and possible deactivation.
But that brings up more questions. Where was their stateside home? Who would've stayed attached and for how long?
Most of the medical staff were draftees, except for Col. Potter. He would probably stay in command until retirement. Any other Regulars would stay until their rotation dates as well.

Discussion Potter or Blake?
It's a simple question; but maybe with more nuanced an answer then we think.
Potter: Stern, Regular Army - but always willing to break/bend a rule if need be. Handled "intelligence" officers (Flagg) and his (Potter's) peers with both respect and disdain. A highly devoted husband - was tempted to start an affair with a USO performer, but denied that temptation rather quickly - that prefers to enjoy a good Zane Gray book than a roll in the liquor bottle at night. Wry sense of humor - able to make a joke and handle the 4077 lunacies with aplomb (Note the episode he let everyone turn their uniforms and hair red). Highly respected amongst his staff.
Blake: Aloof but stern when need be. Devoted to his career and to his Indiana Hoosier football team. Had a brief fling with a woman half his age behind his wife's back. Was respected amongst his staff but still was the butt of a few jokes along the way. Able to handle mental stress fairly well and go on to advise that the rules of war were "Rule #1 men die" but did it with a compassionate hand.

Song ID, the general flipped at dawn
I know this episode so well because it was Harry Morgan's first appearance, but my question is, what is the song he's singing?
Henry, Hawkeye and trapper all sing a bit more in the swamp at the end

Discussion To post or not...
Was just scrolling through and there was a comment about someone posting a pic from an episode as not enjoyable. Agree or disagree?
I used to take short videos from my digital library but people started complaining about the laugh track that I can't remove so I stopped. Agree or disagree?
If pics and videos are not wanted, what would be meaningful content to post? Is it worth posting anymore if most discussions have already been had?
