Wow
I hesitated for so long. I can't even begin to explain, but the way I feel today (tripped yesterday and had the most healing and positive experience I could have) is unreal. It's not the afterglow. It's the fact that I'm back to base reality.
My overwhelming thoughts, specifically me living in my head rather than real life is gone. I don't see how people have bad experiences. It could be because you are not the right person for it. Wrong state of mind. Or intention. You can't let go of your sense of self. The intense trip felt extremely familiar. I've been there without any drugs or hallucinogens (to me psilocybin is not really a drug), I've had extreme self awareness since I was born. I analyze and observe.
Shit actually changed me and my life for the best. It didn't really change me at all, but it let me freely be the person I know I am.
The mesmerizing visuals struck my soul with a deep sense of peace and near-shamanic ancient spiritual energy. I don't care if it's true or not, or real, because the experience happened and what I experienced was real.
My stomach eased, the tension in my sinus and ears popped after literally months of pressure, my chronic gas and tension got relieved. I could finally take deep breaths of air that felt like I was missing oxygen prior. I feel healthy. I sat and had zero anxiety or bad feelings. Just pure utter peace and confirmation with myself. Because I was always like this, but the bad feelings overwhelmed reality. The trauma and PTSD, chronic depression, anxiety, and self-destruction.
No pill, antidepressant, or drug can come anywhere close to helping a person's mental health and self challenges. I fully understand now why people quit addictions after heavy trips. The solution isn't to mute, change, or distort yourself or reality, it is to heal your soul and restore your sense of self and meaning, the meaning of life and the meaning of small things, such as driving, walking, nature, pets, literally everything, to stabilize your ego and mindset into reality where when the soul is healed, improvement can occur. Pills do not heal the soul.
I've had DMT level meditation experiences, I've had paranormal events due to trauma and opening the wrong doors when vulnerable due to that trauma. Things happened that I can't deny, and no I wasn't losing my mind, it was physical proof through physical occurrences and presence. I had cuts and bleeding, 3 parallel lines to my neck and back. Fresh. When woke. And no I didn't scratch myself when sleeping. This was after my intense obsession with the spirit realm or whatnot, and me having enough and saying out loud "Give me proof or reason to continue on this path, or I'm done and going to be ignorant living a simple life." I grew up my whole life studying quantum physics, the nature of reality, philosophy, read Thus Spoke Zarathustra at 13. Always a natural drive to truth, understanding and base reality, psychology, morality, actions and consequences. All my scientific endeavors and knowledge always circle back to the same, a concept of unity / god, a force or realm that is beyond us, that we really live based off.
I think the spirit realm is very real. And mushrooms aren't a key, but they allow your perspective to shift closer to be able to understand or have some sort of interaction with the spiritual world. My experience was purely shamanic and mesmerizing. It felt like an ancient power from millions of years ago signaling to me with frequency and sound, patterns, and what me as myself required.
I think they are deeply personal and no person can compare his experience to others, as it works directly on your spirit and intentions. I also think the shrooms can sense good and evil, and the experiences are directed from that point onwards. They really do strip down your mental defense and leave you naked, as who you really are deep down, and people can not seem to handle that. It was what I really needed. No it wasn't me tripping balls, it is me regaining my life and enjoyment in living life and doing simple things that I lost the joy to years ago. I can actually feel myself walking now, observing, and doing things, opposed to the autopilot that was induced by negativity and chronic depression.
You can argue all the science in the world, neuroplasticity, what not, neurotransmitters, but I don't think that's anywhere close to the reality of these psychedelic experiences. I think the reality is the conscious soul. The ego is really what destroys and obstructs positivity. It really is. Not your sense of self, but the overwhelming desire to be better at everything and everyone, and that's not a bad thing, but it is when you turn it into a perspective of ego and judge yourself for not exceeding those standards. The evil ego, the desire for power and control. To be human is to fail, to make mistakes, to commit bad. But you need to learn from it. There's so much more to it. But if you understand you understand, I think many people can relate to what I said.
They really let me live my life to my maximum, enjoy my job and work, and stabilize back to self reality, took me out of an almost near-delusional state of existence, back to my world and self.
I had this feeling during the intensity of it, that this is what I've really been missing my whole life, that exact feeling or emotion or state of existence or perspective that I've been crying out for. It felt like a relief. No, I'm not ignorant to think that a trip is what fixed my life, because even the word and social stigma around "tripping" is really an insult to the beauty and change that these little mushrooms can provide to you. And of course they are illegal.
But alcohol is legal and lets you live in a void that is open to all sorts of things, makes you lose your dignity and sense of purpose. Numbs the pain that isn't wanting to be fixed. it causes loss of control and vulnerability. And how those paranormal experiences stopped is when I stopped fearing those "demons". When I stopped being vulnerable to allow them to thrive on the fear. They are pathetic. Real or not. Evil exists and is evident in our day to day life and world. You can't deny it. And the opposite is true, good exists and is also very evident. I felt the most clear-minded and present and in control I've ever felt in my life during heavy dose psilocybin, and even during the ego-death and loss of sense of self, I was still the most in control and clear-minded I had ever been. You need to let go.
Goodluck to everyone and I hope the best for you.
