I introduced FAE by cutting slits across the AIO bag and covering it with a micro pore tape. I can see small pins on the top of the bag but the bottom of the bag has dark yellow patches. I'm not sure if this is contamination. Would the yield from this be edible?

I also read that cutting open the top of the bag and sealing it with paper clip and fanning everyday increases the yield. So I do it? How do I estimate if the moisture too high or low?

Also, I see there are more pins forming on the side than the top. Is this fine? How do I ensure that the pins on the top grow healthy?

hey all, first time grower here, do these look ready for fruiting?

it's been about 10 weeks since inoculation and 7 weeks since break & shake. growth seemed to have slowed down around the beginning of october (probably cause of the wildly fluctuating temperatures where i am which makes it difficult to keep room temps consistent cause we have what we like to call "false fall" where it sort of starts to act like fall but also could still go anywhere from summer temps to fall temps to winter temps sometimes even all within the same day).

anyway I gave it a couple extra weeks for the mycelium to hopefully fill in a little more but it hasn't seemed to change all that much in the last couple weeks so i'm not sure if i should still give it more time or if it's at the point where it's okay to just go ahead and start the fruiting process. what do you guys think? is there enough growth or should i try to let it sit a bit longer? any advice is much appreciated!

I'm a new beginner and I have a all in one grow bag (the kind you sit on your shelf for a month that you don't touch until you harvest), that's now developing quite a few significant groups of side pins underneath the rubber band i have around it.

This is due to me not realizing those air pockets underneath meant i had to move the band.

Is it worth removing the rubber band to let the side pins grow a bit more freely or would that just take away from the top of the cake and promote more side pins?

I did 3 g of shrooms in August and had a great experience. I was planning to wait at least a year before doing them again but I'm going to this rave for Halloween and it would lowkey be pretty sick. Also would probably have a few drinks. How retarded of an idea is this?

Im going to different city to visit my friend on winter break and I wanna bring some shrooms along to make it more fun but I'm scared that the airport security checks for that stuff and that I'll get in shit if I do.

Are these safe to eat? I’m of course not going to eat them until I know for sure. The biggest one has some sort of brown almost dirt looking stuff on it that you can see in the first picture, and they look almost more black than blue which I haven’t seen in the past when I have done them before.

​I'm at Day 18 and have zero pins, just a thick layer of white mycelium.

​The issue: I had an early heat spike (27.5°C), but it's now stable at 22-23°C.

​Questions: Is this huge delay normal after thermal stress? What can I do to trigger the first pins?

Bought some LCs from Thick Spores. What a complete nightmare.
I normally stick with True Blue Genetics consistently 10/10. This time I wanted to try a different vendor and see how their genetics stacked up against what I’m used to. I placed the order in early September, got a tracking number within a day or two… then radio silence for over a month.
Finally the guy (Tommy Mixon) replies with a half-assed response and a lukewarm apology, then ships the package. I was already on a tight grow schedule, so this was a real setback.
When it finally shows up a few days later, he only sent one of the three LCs I ordered. No extra culture, no discount, no “sorry for the five-week delay” gesture. Just the bare minimum.
I inoculated grain the same day I got it, same conditions as some Enigma LC I already had from True Blue. It’s now October 23rd, 17–18 days later. The Enigma is dense, healthy, and almost fully colonized with thick white mycelium. The Thick Spores LC? Absolute nothing. Zero growth.

Got my all in one bag fully colonized and put into fruiting conditions today. Im excited and just wanted to share with the community. My first attempt at growing was years ago and I failed miserably. Heres to a hopefully happy hearvest

Looking forward to drinking the tea from 77g of fresh yellow Gyms tomorrow.

Last time was 50g. Need to see where it gets deep. Got 105g tea ready for a few weeks from now too.

(keep in mind that these have lower psilocybin than cubes do and are about equivalent to 1/10 dried weight).

this doesn’t look like a contaminated plate and all of them mycelium was at one point identical to healthy mycelium

Hey yall this is only my second run, first time with Yeti... I remember my Golden Halo had noticably looking pins when it started fruiting and this jus looks like weird groupings of cauliflower so Im just wondering if its stalled or looking right on track.

Spent about 19 days on drippy corn...11 days spawning in CVG & has been 11 days of fruiting conditions..

Couple of dubtubs I had S2B. Havent really needed to mist because they always have their own water droplets. Is it too much water??
