Rifle help needed - I read the pinned posts Need some emergency Trigger Tech help.
I’m packing to fly out for a hunt on Wednesday, and all of a sudden my TT is acting up.
It’s a TT Special in a Bighorn Ti3.
As I pull the trigger I get to the wall. About 75% of the time (but not every time), as I pull through the wall the trigger clicks back to what feels like a second wall and then the firing pin releases with a delay. Basically like a hang fire.
Pull, wall, click…boom.
I didn’t change any adjustments to it when it started. I’ve tried adjusting the second stage screw all the way in, all the way out, halfway… it doesn’t seem to matter.
It started in the middle of a range day.
I took the trigger out and wiped all the surfaces. When I took the rifle out of the stock the rear trigger pin had walked substantially out. But pushing it back in made no difference.
Anyone seen this before?

Get some lighter fluid and flush your trigger. This should fix your problem

I swapped in the Diamond I had in my PRS rig. I’ll try flushing the Special when I get back in a couple weeks. Thanks.

Had a similar issue a few years ago with a Diamond in an Impact. Trigger had a click (like grit) and wouldn’t fire intermittently. TT warranty was smooth and quick, they even cross shipped. Took about a week if I recall.
If I had two days before a hunt, I’d be buying a trigger tomorrow.
I doubt the pin walking out had any effect on your failure though.
