Hello there, I recently got into this hobby and for my first neopixel, I ordered a TXQ Obi-Wan Ep 3.5 (Kenobi TV show) since he's my favorite character and I absolutely love the design of the hilt from the show since it shows the transition from his pristine Ep3 hilt onto how it looked in Ep4. However, the seller unfortunately sent me a TXQ Obi-Wan Ep3 instead, justifying themselves by saying the 3.5 version was out of stock so they sent me the Ep3 instead. I tried keeping my cool and kindly asked them for a refund but they've been extremely uncooperative and implied that I should just keep the Ep3 hilt, then just stopped responding.

I've been thinking of just selling it at a loss and getting the Ep3.5 or even the Ep4 someday; but before that I just wanted to find out if it's possible to just get an Ep3.5/Ep4 emitter to install on my Ep3, and also where to purchase one. So far I haven't found any shops selling just emitters but maybe someone here knows. Thank you all in advance.

Another pair of NullRev and NovaRev speederbike lightsabers heading out to their very patient new owners!

These are original designs of mine, built around the mechanical aesthetic of speederbike-inspired hilts with custom-machined grips, aluminum components, brass greeblies, and plenty of little details that make these builds their own. The NovaRev is the stripped-down, greyed-out variant of the NullRev, with brass accents that really pop against the bare aluminum.

Both have the same electronics setup, but I made a couple of small refinements to the brass control boxes. The updated design gives me a more reliable way to secure the clamp cards and makes isolating the switches during installation a little easier. Small changes, but ones that make a real difference when you're building these from the ground up.

Every part is designed around these hilts, with components manufactured in a variety of materials, including brass and aluminum. These are always a lot of fun to build, and I'm really happy to see another pair making their way to their new homes.

Back during Covid I built a Graflex replica as a project. In the years since I have kind of wanted to complete the set of original trilogy sabers to display on a shelf in my office at home.

As I gather it looks like Saberforge is/has gotten out of the business of making screen replica hilts and that was for the longest time my mental plan as they sold all the ones I wanted at decent prices. Now all of them are gone :(.

Where might I look to get replica empty hilts that are good quality and not like a thousand dollars a piece? I don't need electronics as I intend these to be more prop replica displays, bur the option to one day instwll electronics would be nice to have.

So I bought my last Lightsaber from saber trio and it was absolutely amazing and I wanna get this from Vaders sabers I like the way it looks with their custom weathering, but there has been a time where I’ve dealt with a bad company before is Vaders sabers good can anyone let me know their experiences?

I've seen some ads showing people absolutely abusing the hell out of sabers, like bending them nearly into a U shape, or bashing them hard against trees or metal poles.

I know polycarbonate is tough, but I am afraid of breaking something I paid $200 for. Can these really stand up to hard impacts like that?

Has anyone here bought any lightsabers from JW Sabers and had them delivered to the UK, and if so, would you recommend the delivery? Were there any issues (mostly due to the UK's commonly delayed delivery service xD)?

I've made a couple simple repairs over the years; mainly LED swaps(for color) and wiring. Its always been my go-to, or at least my preferred saber, for its sleek-ish body. The patina adds some character, I think, and I owe it some thin leather on the recessed sections again.

Hey guys, I posted earlier about identifying a neosabers darksaber and I appreciate all the help I got! I ended up getting the saber and I had a couple questions about the charging etiquette. I'm well aware of the 5v1a and the seller warned me about this as he had previously fried the battery. I have one of these chargers and was wondering if it would be fine to use as I wouldn't be able to use the original cable with this brick. Thank you!

This is the coupler for a Force FX Darth Maul lightsaber from ~2006. Long story short, my son and I were at a Halloween event dressed as Obi-Wan and Darth Maul, ran into a friend, we went to have a quick duel, and my friend swung his lightsaber very hard, I blocked with the Darth Maul saber, and the coupler snapped. Closest thing I've found online is $100 (at that point I'll just start saving for a new saber) and the threading doesn't even look right. Any advice on just making my own with parts I can buy? I'm upset since I've kept the thing from breaking for almost 20 years, but I just wanna get a coupler that works so my kid can play it. I know I can probably pick something up at Home Depot, but what about making it adjustable the way this one is so you can line the sabers up properly when joined by the coupler? (If you're unfamiliar there's a screw you loosen with an Alan wrench to twist the two sides as needed to line the sabers up)

Hello again, everyone! It appears I am still on the hunt for the right switch for my saber design! However, that's not what I'm looking for today. Today, I am looking for the proper USB-C charging port to add to my custom saber chassis and hilt. To me, I only see one option that might work best for my specific chassis design. However, since I am still learning about what's best for a custom saber and don't yet know all the super fine details, I thought I'd ask you guys.

The only charging port I see that might fit my specific chassis design is the device on the left circled in blue. The one on the right looks more like a male power connector than the other two, and the one in the middle looks like it might be more difficult to install. Also, how would I even install the female USB-C receptacle port?

Hi All. It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I haven’t been idle, just very focused on learning new things to advance my skillset. Learn some CAD, get my first 3D printer, Arduino IDE………. Man, it’s been a busy little bit. I hope you all will enjoy some pics of what I’ve been up to. The new Saber is done but i just haven’t had the time to do a photo shoot. My first saber from VV a few years back. It's a Promethean dark with abalone inlays. Took like two years to build. Wish I could afford another saber but probably looking into something other than VV (lead times and price are nuts and not crazy about their chassis). I had a sabertrio Aeyrn before that I wish I still had and a couple screen accurate builds through various smiths (emperor and graflex mainly) but unfortunately had to sell. Any other companies you all like right now that I should look into besides Sabertrio ?

Blue beam. Has a swivel sleeve. Surprising amount of weight. Thought it had to be d-cell batteries. It's just 3 aaa. I'm not reselling or anything, I'm a big Star wars fan it's mine. Is this a copy of a characters lightsaber or just an original creation?

Remember the Goofy inflatable lightsaber that came out right after Star Wars? It was just a a flashlight with an inflatable plastic blade and I dreamed about having something better.

Hey all! Figured I'd share pics of my 3 latest 3D printed lightsaber hilts.

I'm absolutely in love with them, the designs go so hard IMO. So glad I found the project. I'll link to a short I made so you can see them in video during nighttime.

The designs are from Brisingr's SABER project. I'll link to his Thingiverse and Ko-Fi at the bottom.

I used several resin's and PETG for the parts I printed, and did the painting and weathering myself as well.

This makes 4 completed lightsabers for me. I plan to print more, as well as one or two from another 3D printable lightsaber project. That said, I find these designs really inspiring, and they have me thinking about sabers for characters in my SW TTRPG setting I'm cooking up lol.

FWIW first lightsbaber purchase ever

For me, it’s the combination of the glowing blade, the unique sounds, and the incredible designs. There’s something about a lightsaber that makes it feel more special than an ordinary collectible.
I’m curious about other fans here: was it a particular scene, a character, the sound design, or simply the look of the saber that got you hooked?
And if you could own just ONE lightsaber, which one would you choose? 👀
