Looking for Advice & Requests Confused

To be honest, I'm still not sure about my own feelings. For the longest time, I thought I was straight, and to this day, I still think I am. However (and I know this is going to sound a bit contradictory), there is this girl at my school that has shattered everything that I thought was normal about my life.

In short, she doesn't know who I am. However, every time I see her walking across the halls, I can't help but feel some sort of happiness within me. She is gorgeous, talented, and does the exact opposite of everything else I do. We take different classes, participate in different extracurriculars, etc. It's as if our paths were never meant to cross. I've started changing in drastic ways where I sometimes need to take a step back and wonder, who am I?

I understand that this is some sort of infatuation, but I always thought infatuation ended after a few weeks. I still don't know how I feel but I realize that I need a place to write out all those emotions I've bottled in for the last several months. If you've ever felt something similar, please let me know!

fuck labels, love who you want to love! but someone once explained it like this to me- sometimes there are some girls who mainly like boys, and go for boys, but then happen to fall for girls sometimes. they wouldnt choose to like a girl, but shit happens. if knowing who you are in a way that you can put a label on yourself is important to you, explore your feelings, question yourself. or just let yourself be. love who you gonna love! either way, theres no pressure to know who you are. i dont think anyone realy knows. goodluck!

I love that quote. I think it perfectly sums up the internal conflict that goes through one’s mind with change. Thank you!

I agree. Just be yourself and don't overthink things. Your sexual orientation doesn't define "you". And there is nothing that prevents you from just going up to her and saying hello.

good luck, babe seriously tho, I went thru the same thing when I realized I was a lesbian. I became friends with this girl and she was all I thought about. at one point i would cry almost everyday because I was so jealous of her boyfriend. i thought that I wanted to be friends with her, but i literally was in love with her. I mean, there is a possibility that maybe you want to be like her/want to be friends with her, but there is no need to make yourself go crazy trying to figure it out.  if you have more questions lmk!

Thank you so much! I’m going to try to stop worrying about my feelings and rather embracing them. Who knows, maybe my sexuality is more fluid than I thought…
