Hey there lads and lasses, I dropped out of secondary school in 5th year due to some health issues. I'm 20 now and I want to sit my exams in 2027 and finish my leaving cert as an external candidate. I have no idea where to start and have no one else that is willing to help. Any advice or a step-by-step would be greatly appreciated. GRMA

My name is Abby and I am a final year medical student who got 8 H1s all the way back in 2021.

I was thinking of hosting a free webinar/info evening where I cover one of the Leaving Cert Maths Topics such as Statistics or The Circle as well as maybe going over an exam question or two.

I was just wondering would that be something people might be interested in?

Let me know if the comments and also if you have any suggestions on what I could cover let me know.

I was also thinking of doing one on LC chemistry as well maybe stoichiometry or Equilibrium. Again let me know

I want to vary To what extent does copper(II) ion concentration affect the rate of reaction between iron(III) nitrate and sodium thiosulfate, measured by the time taken for the purple colour to fade? but there are no studies done that prove varying the concentration of copper actually works but i need somthing that works if you have a better ideas pls tell me

I make to do lists for myself every time I study and I never ever finish them. It’s not that my list is super long and I have many tasks on it, it’s just that whatever i do always takes much longer than u expected.

Like a task that i thought would take an hour ends up taking up my whole study session.

Did anyone else go through something similar? Or maybe even this is happening to u now? wtf do i do

A bit of a rant here.

I'm really, really struggling. Im constantly in pain from what I think is endometriosis, and I can't get diagnosed for another few months. I experience a bit of brain fog from that so it affects my study. I'm also getting emotionally abused by my mother and I'm seriously just finding it hard to cope. On top of that I need around 570 points.

Has anyone been in a similar situation to mine? If so, could you please share some advice or words of encouragement

I did the leaving cert this year and got 521 points , I am taking a gap year and will be applying for college next year , I am stuck between 2 courses , Advanced Therapeutic Technologies in RCSI and Psychology (through science) in Maynooth. Psychology is appealing to me because you can be your own boss later on in your career , I know that there is postgraduate study involved to become a clinical psychologist and that is fine with me I've heard that it is quite competitive though. ATT interests me because I love clinical trials and tests , and I want to design clinical trials and draw conclusions from them. Any advice would be appreciated i.e salary , worklife balance , enjoyment.

I started 5th year this year and our phys/chem teacher isn’t the greatest. Don’t get me wrong. She knows her stuff, but she moves slowly. How can I study phys/chem? There aren’t many resources for it.

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find any ideas. I would appreciate any help!!!
