PSA: people are now using AI to steal latte art content

The creator of the AI generated video posted shamelessly posted this video twice on their Instagram account. Reporting it to Instagram has done nothing. The only thing left now is to spread word that this content is stolen. If you see this post or any of the numerous reposts, please let people know it was stolen from vicky__wang07 on Instagram.

A Message from the MODS: PLEASE READ 🙂

R/latteart recently surpassed 34,000 users, which is AWESOME news that our community is growing!!! 🌱 ⬆️ 🌳

Please keep in mind a few things moving forward into 2025 and beyond:

1) When posting for advice on a pour, please post a video when possible so advice can be targeted very specifically to the issues at hand. A still photo doesn't demonstrate issues as clearly as a video.

2) So many of the responses to posts asking for advice are "Watch more videos/tutorials", "It's your milk, improve your milk", "Master the basics before moving on to more complex patterns", etc...if we can agree that such advice is universally applicable, we can avoid a lot of the redundancies in the comment threads.

3) PLEASE KEEP IT POSITIVE...whether OP is a newbie or a competitive latte artist, please keep all responses positive. Putting others down for their lack of experience/know-how or telling ppl they're farming for attention because they happen to have certain proficiencies isn't helpful for anyone. If you want to be negative, there are other espresso related subs to troll on.

4) Let us know if there are things you'd like to see more of on the sub...last February we hosted a monthly themed pour about hearts and heart variations in alignment with Valentine's Day...should we do something similar again this February? Any other ideas come to mind that would improve the experience here?

5) Keep on having fun and progressing...I mean, other than the tasty beverages we are crafting, isn't that why we're all here? 🙂

Cleaned up my machine and played around with the grind so I’m starting to see a better crema, milk needs work though, there’s enough foam but I need to actually make it like thinner and improve the texture.

Question I made this latte art and would love your feedback. Do you notice any mistakes or anything I could improve?

Clean Machine, clean art

I did a deep clean of my espresso machine on Sunday. I've had it for over 5 years now, and it surely has to be my most used appliance! So aside from the regular descaling and water filter change, clean etc. I decided to give it some TLC. By today it already looks well used 😂 but at least it was lovely to look at on Sunday.

Hey everyone! I’ve recently started learning latte art with my new Sage Oracle Jet, but I’m struggling to get consistent results.

I’d really appreciate some pointers on what might be causing my pours to look so messy. Is it my milk texture, my pouring technique, or something else I’m overlooking?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

A slightly wonky base, but super proud of the rest of it. Getting there, half step at a time.

For context I used to do hospitality throughout high school (I graduated 3 years ago) and actually was the main student who ran our little cafe where we served senior students and teachers before homeroom and during recess. Trying to get back on the horse and actually get good at doing the art again lol. I know my crema and milk aren’t great but hopefully with consistency and a bit of tweaking my machine I’ll get it sorted

Sized up to a 12oz cup for framed swan practice...nice to have a little more volume to work with when pouring.

Question Why isn't it "rounder"?

Post image

I think I got the milk texture right today, but I never manage to get a full art that uses all the available "canvas", and also it doesn't look "round" enough?

Any tips appreciated :)
