Fuel Center Tasks
Im in fuel and only certain people know how to open, do mimik, etc. Manager wants everyone to do all tasks, in case of illness, etc . Just curious if everyone does all tasks at your fuel center or I am just behind. Thanks all

I mean.. It would be prudent if all fuel attendants knew all of the tasks. Whether all attendants do said tasks is another question.
At my store, only two people really know what they are doing, myself and another guy. Everyone else that works fuel, whilst they have been trained, just stand in the kiosk for their entire shifts.

When our clerks first get hired, they train with our lead on opening, then the seniority kicks in and they exclusively close. For one, when I got cross trained out there I was taught to do everything, and I do both opens and closes. For everyone else, it may be months before they do those opening tasks again, so they might technically have been trained on it, but they may do it so infrequently that they really don't know how to do it
