News Kill Team: October Update
Up on Warcom today: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/k04goqrk/kill-team-october-update/
And of course the downloads: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/kill-team/
Seems fairly minor, bunch of stuff around breach actions on Tomb Worlds, also Exodites need to be on an engage order to finish a sprint within engagement range (so no more concealed "charges" for them).

Question Best way to learn and play in <2hrs
A few guys at the FLGS want to get into KT but have only ever played half a demo game and still need to learn. I’ve played a few solo games just to try to learn but don’t know much beyond the basics. What’s the best format/game mode/ops to learn the basics without spending a 40K amount of time reading the rules for 4+ hours? Pic of my yaegirs to draw your attention…

Hobby I'm new and need help to know if this lil' guy can be used in kill team...
Hi. I'm new to the killteam game, and wanted to make an angel of death killteam with the few space marines I own (5, need one more). I was wandering if I could use this guy I painted in the team (knife + pistol in holster) or if I had to get more guys.

Question Why are Starter teams token impossible to find ?
Title. I have the starter kit and would like to go to the full rules for the teams.
I know I can print the cards so worst case I'll do this, but since there is no individual box for AoD and PM I can’t find official token sets for them. What solution did you find ? Buying 3 printed ones on Etsy ?

Hobby Wrecka Rampage
Here are some beauty shots of my nob and squigs (and some of the boyz).
Wrecka Krew is a great team, especially taking Tuff Gitz and Amped Up, they just won't go down.
Feedback welcome on the scheme, was going for retro-cool but worried it might've turned into condiment colors.

Question Precursor's Vicious Knife Fighter Rule
A common question in my local meta that has caused much argument: Can the Tempestus Aquilon Precursor use their Vicious Knife Fighter rule when retaliating?
Arguments for: It states "whenever fighting" and retaliating is fighting.
Arguments against: Lots of other models across the game specifically state "fighting OR retaliating" in their rules.
Wanted to get a community feel for it. One of our local group put it up to his TO chat and it apparently caused a small war. We were hoping for the October update to clarify it but it's been missed off again. Thoughts?

Strategy Is KT Worlds 2026 a little screwed because of Approved Ops 2026?
First of all, I absolutely love Kill Team, and I know many of us play it casually, just to have fun. For most players, none of this really matters. But I’m curious about how competitive players, especially those attending Worlds, feel about this.
With barely a month left, we still don’t have Approved Ops 2026, the new map, or the rules for the two new teams that will be legal at Worlds.
The issue isn’t whether players can prepare in a month. If everyone starts with the same information, that’s perfectly fine, and I’m sure there is no bad intentions behind it, is just something that happened.
But let’s be realistic: many workers in the process and playtesters are either among the best players in the world or closely connected to them. Even with confidentiality agreements and not trying to point into anyone because I can guess 99% of them respect this game to the core but we know information inevitably circulates within smaller communities (remember how everyone knew about Exodites before the reveal even when it made no sense?).
This means some players or communities may already have weeks or months of extra knowledge about upcoming missions, mechanics, and teams, while everyone else is still waiting for the official releases.
And the longer those releases are delayed, the bigger that potential preparation gap becomes. Even if they were revealed as I’m writing this, there is still a huge gap.
So, for those attending Worlds, and hardcore competitive players… How do you feel about this? Are you concerned about a possible competitive disadvantage, or do you think it won’t really matter?
Curious to read your POVs!

Question New To Killteam - Apps & Is Core Rulebook/Tokens Still Worth?
Hey, new to the game, want to try.
I own the Raveners and Hierotek Circle, just from my 40K collections.
Just wondering if the core rulebook is worth buying.
I would need the generic tokens to play, but I'm assuming I can get those elsewhere.
Are there any good apps outside of the GW one that can be used to run games?

Question Help finding terrain rules : Bheta Decima
I have heard that Bheta Decima is supposedly the worst Killzone. But I still own it and as such would like to use it correctly. Can't really find any rules like for Octarius and such online though. Would anyone happen to know where to find the rules, map layouts and such?

Hobby It took me a few years but I finaly painted my Killzone Octarius terrain.
Bought that box way back when it came out. Had it just sitting around collecting dust. Now that my local store is getting the kill team craze I finaly painted it. Minus the little connection pieces and ramps. Those are lost to the warp

Strategy Deathwatch vs Goremongers operative selection
Playing against my buddy’s goremongers this weekend, havent gone against them since their buffs in august and im a little torn on operative selection to bring here, my gut instinct is sargent, blademaster, disruptor, aegis, demolisher but worried thats too melee heavy and not taking advantage of going against the goremongers 5+ saves. Ill likely bring kraks and the pistols arent bad by themselves, but seems like im playing to his ball game by committing to this much melee. Is it better to bring something like breacher that can move and shoot twice to secure kills? Im just worried that hes so efficient at getting into melee that ill regret having multiple ops that only have fists as a melee weapon.
