This is a bit personal, but I'm hoping for some honest advice from you guys.

My family owns Kings and Queens Pizza Parlor. Back in the early 90s, we had branches near Port Basin, on Tariq Road, and in Muhammad Ali Society. Over the years, we've had to downsize to just one branch in Muhammad Ali Society.

For the past 3–4 years, our sales have been declining despite getting good reviews and repeat customers. We've tried marketing, but right now, we barely have a budget for it.

It's honestly taking a toll on my father, and I really want to help ease some of that financial stress.

If you're from Karachi, I'd genuinely appreciate it if you visited and tried our shawarma, pasta, or Alfredo pizza (my personal favourites 😅).

I wish I stayed till sun up. Just 15 minutes more.

Now I, a 47 year old man, am getting bouts of tears, which I try and fail miserably to stop.

Just 30-40 minutes ago, I accidentally ran over a cat with my bike.

I travel through Dalmiah, and as usual I was doing that. Almost home, I thought...

The poor cat, a ginger tabby, with more white on the belly than ginger, just ran across the road to the central divider.

It crossed before me, comfortably, but then the car zoomed in.

It was driving parallel to me, picking up speed, and almost passed me.

Meanwhile the unlucky cat, who had made it to the divider, got confused by the car's horn or maybe the engine noise, and made the decision to run back across.

It cleared the car, which was miraculous as it didn't even brake.

Now my bike was further ahead and despite my best efforts to brake......I ran it over.

The car was gone.

I stopped.

Tried to turn back and go wrong way...

Cars, dump trucks, bikes...just came speeding down.

Then, when I was finally able to turn, and go back to look for the cat...I was hoping, these guys are tough-hoping against hope...

Then I found it....it took just two deep breaths....and then it was still.

I didn't know what to do.....

I called a friend of mine who loves animals and has dealt with animal rescue before.

He told me to check if she was breathing....if she was moving a tiny b.

Few months ago, in our area and many adjoining areas (gulshan e iqbal, johar, johar mor), sui gas conducting several major diggings. They dug up our whole area with every road dug from the middle.

After several months, the condition is still the same. they just filled the cavities with rocks and sand. It's horrible for cars and specially bikes. ruining jumps and suspensions and over damages.

i dont want to fkn stay silent on this like we do on every issue. who to contact to fix this?

Long story short, I sold off a property & bought another. Transfer is scheduled 2 weeks later and owner’s demanded to get my belongings off, I’m not present in Khi, contacted a few warehouses & locations in the vicinity but either rates were exuberant or there was safety issue.

If someone could point out some safe & affordable place to keep my belongings for 2,3 weeks that would be helpful.

Tribune says the 2.7 km stretch was supposed to take four months and was due in February 2026. KWSSIP's project manager Faisal Javed now says December 31, and blames part of the delay on a K-Electric high-tension line where about 100 feet of digging is expected to take around 45 days.

The digging keeps hitting existing lines too, which Tribune ties to recurring water problems in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. A 33-inch pipeline was damaged just last week and several localities still don't have supply fully restored.

And December 31 is only when the road goes back for Red Line construction. 1.4 km from Hassan Square to Baitul Mukarram is due in the first week of November, the other 1.3 km by December 31.

A.o.A everyone,I'm feeling very pathetic and embarrassed to post this but i have no other option left. I work as a  tanker driver at LLC Transguard in dubai.i drive tankers for inter countries assignments.

I am sole earner of my family as we have a family 7 people with 2 parents and 4 sisters who lives in pakistan.

Well the thing is my mother is a heart patient who already had 2 heart attacks.

Her arteries conditions are very bad and we were advised for her stent placement 2 months ago. Since then she is hell of a pain and sometimes pain becomes so much bitter that even her half side becomes completely numb and she couldn't even move.

Stent placement is a costly procedure and whe nwe did get estimates from different hospitals it cost around 500k PKR for 2 stents like 6600 AED.

Now my whole salary is 2500 AED. And with current situation I am stuck on the borders for even a week or like 10 days.

Which even for food it cost my whole salary as prices on border are too much higher.

And I'm even unable to manage the bread and butter if my family back home.

I have been here for 10 years and working. I have explained my whole situation to my manager to get a loan which they'll deduct from my salary but they said it more then enough that they are keeping me on job in current times.

It has already been two months since her diagonisis and she is at her end limit right now. Doctors have been continuously giving her blood thinners and her body is becoming more and more weak. While on call with her, her condition literally killed me from inside, and despite all my efforts, even after begging in front of every man in my company, i am unable to help her. I am hopeless at the moment that i am continuously thinking about killing myslef but what it can do better. I am in most pahetic situation of my life.I am stuck with the tanker on the border and my mother is on her death bed and I can't even do anything about it.
