How common is opposition to the Iranian government among practicing and devout Muslims in Iran?

I'm not Iranian but I've always had a fascination with the country. I'm a child of the War on Terror and have been subject to non-stop propaganda about Iran my whole life, which only made me more curious.

Among Iranians in the west a significant number of them seem to be non-practicing Muslims. Many of their children don't know how to pray for ex. Of course many of them aren't even Muslim. At least from what I read online, Islam is declining in Iran, not just the diaspora. Of course you can correct me if I'm wrong.

Among practicing and devout Muslims in Iran how common is opposition to the regime? I ask because people often say Islam is declining because of the regime which begs the question that does it follow that the more devout someone is, the more likely they are to support the regime?
