he's finally old enough to ride the bike with me, while it was slow at first he got the hang of it super quick and even started pulling me!

It was the first time I really felt like I could go anywhere with him.

Idk man I just love this little guy so much and I'm so glad I got him as my first dog.

We celebrated Aria’s possibly last birthday. My sweet girl turned 13. A lot has occurred during the last two years. Aria now has severe hip dysplasia. We give her CBD treats as well as joint supplements and she’s on pain medication to alleviate pain she has in her joints. She is still happy and as hungry as ever but we’ve come to prepare ourselves for the inevitable. We are enjoying spending our time with her. As long as she’s happy and mobile we will keep basking in her presence. ♥️ (p.s she didn’t eat that cake since that’s all we had in this moment, but we had to run to the store to get a regular vanilla cake and she had a piece of that along with some steak!)

I own our house. Stella runs our house. Charlotte, the brown husky mix follows. And I love it. "School Time" dates back to 8 PM when we would join our now 18 year old son to make sure his homework was done. "School Time" is still a trigger for Stella even though our son is off to college. Lol. Huskies are amazing!

I just don’t get how they can sleep like this, I wake up everyday to this sight and when I get out of bed to get ready for work he steals my pillows! Husky mixes and huskies are somethin’ else I tell ya.

Anyone else’s husko lay on absolutely anything that is soft? My girl will find a pile of clothes, fluff it and lay on it or use it as a pillow. I came home to find her curled up on our bench by the door that had some sweatshirts piled on it 😂 I once found her in the laundry room where we had comforters and blankets on the floor needing to be washed and there she was 😂 turning the dirty comforters into a nice bed. She’ll do this with sheets, clothes, anything remotely soft that she finds. She’ll even try to squeeze onto things that are clearly too small for her.

(Yes she has her own bed, and she’s allowed on the upstairs couch. But she still does this)

As many may already know, Kira of Gone To The Snow Dogs has unfortunately passed after being diagnosed with a mass on her heart. This comes just a few months after her sister, Memphis, passed away.

alaskan husky is Nilah (f), 2 yrs & 3 mo. husky mix is Tavi (m), just turned 1 yr old this month 🐾

(yes, my floors always have dog hair gliding around despite me vacuuming 2x a day 😭)

Woke up this morning and my gate was wide open and Oy (m5) was long gone. By the time I got dressed and got out front guess who was coming down the driveway to greet me. I’m going back to bed to have my heart attack in peace now 😳

It’s late. I’m exhausted, in pain, and beginning to feel the effects of my med. But Clare is here, having jumped into bed without request or command sleeping in her “I feel safe” position and I’m in heaven.

Seven weeks ago, when I rescued her from a LA City shelter, she would cower if I reached too quickly for her, run if I moved too quickly towards her. But now she sleeps of her own will in my bed, something I thought impossible just yesterday. There are months to go yet, but I’m beginning to see the fine, beautiful crazy husky she is meant to be.

To my previous companions, waiting at the bridge, thank you now for the wisdom you gave me on how to be a better companion to dear, sweet Clare.
