I'm just wondering because I've never been able to find them they released a dub version of the compilation movies a couple years ago did they rerecord scenes for the dub to add in lines for changes to the original story and does anyone know any way I can stream it I keep becoming hesitant to buy it on DVD because I'm worried it's just the Regular Japanese and not English copy.

I really do hope one day we get to see an extended look on LordGenome’s comeup as a prequel. That’s honestly the only other Gurren Lagann story media I even want. We potentially could see some of the world before the disaster happens as well, I think it’d be cool! His design is neat too, basically a male Nia.

To who ever recommended gurren laggen. I hate and love you you didn't tell me about how many people died I finished It like 10 minutes ago. Kamina the GOAT but the guy who told me to watch this I hate u . I love u rip Nia 😭

PLEASE, NO SPOILERS

I started watching Gurren Lagann knowing nothing (I only knew that Kamina dies) and I just finished watching episode 15. They just defeated the Spiral King???? But there are still 12 episodes left, what the hell is going to happen after that? Defeating Lordgenome was the main objective and it was accomplished, so what else is there?

My theory is that it's aliens. "When a million monkeys have stepped on the surface, the Moon will be the messenger of Hell and destroy the world of the Spiral." If I'm not mistaken, episode 1 begins with a scene in space, so I think that phrase from King Lordgenome refers to aliens. Leaving the humans on the surface was a way for some alien race not to see the humans. But now that they are going to occupy the surface, the aliens will notice and come to attack.

Anyway, I think that's it. Again, I ask that you don't give any spoilers in the comments. Watching without knowing anything has been a great experience.

And do the creators intend to do anything else with Gurren Lagann?

I periodically go to comic book and manga stores in my area to browse and find interesting stuff. I always stop and take a look to see if I can find anything Gurren Lagann but I never hold my breath cuz I always feel like the odds of that are way too low but yesterday I went in and they had this. It was just the one but I don't care I instantly bought it.

my students love the little Yoko 😂🥹

What's likely to happen for Gurren Lagann's 20th anniversary coming up? Could we expect a re-release of the movies in theaters?

Translations:

1. Mhm. I knew that.

2. Is that so...?

Awhhhhh, the sweet bond is just off the charts, this weekend! I love this exchange between them, because it highlights how Yoko is opening up again and healing. She needed that acceptance from Simon, and she gets it here! The validation is so painfully clear in her eyes. I just love artwork like this, where we really get a grasp on the characters. I feel the Manga treated Yoko's development in a very interesting, great way. :) This entire set is just beautiful with Kotaro's artistic choices!

Well, i just wanted to point out smth nobody was actually talking abt, David's Fit is weirdly almost the same as simon's Like the lack of shirt, or 2 belts or smth. What do u guys think abt that? (Also they are both giving me feeling like im seeing the same character.)

Here’s mine

Tengen Toppa has finally arrived 🥹

Translations:

1. You know, Simon.

2. Listen, I... About Kamina. I really did like him, you know.

Yoko finally lets ot out! A very important, sweet moment. Still organizing things, guys! Sorry its taking me a few! Lots to catch up on, haha. Including some sleep! Lol. Have a wonderful start to your weekend! Updates and monthly stuff coming soon!!

Oh yeah, now we're talking 🔥

Now with the paint it looks much better, I made the nose a little big and the antennae/hairs were a nightmare but they are minor details, now what is missing is to find a way to make the butt star.

I just finished Gurren Lagann yesterday, i watched slow until kamina's death in ep 8. After his death i felt betrayed & hurted by the show that such a great character had so less of screen time, i wanted atleast 15+ episodes with him. I didn't had much hopes with the rest eps, but i still went on.

From the moment Nia entered the story & how she helped simon realise that he just needs to be himself not like kamina. I really loved how they diverted the story slowly but steadily to simon, it wasn't easy to see simon as mc as we saw kamina in that way from 1st ep.

After ep15 childhoods end i was satisfied & wanted the story to end there. If it had ended there, i would be greatly pleased. But i guess that doesn't potray the full meaning of the anime. Even though i hesitated i still watched them, it was a good mix of after story. Showcasing other characters story was a good addition too. I really loved yoko's after story becoming a teacher in a small island distant from main land.

The deaths in the latter part was depressing as hell, but still it added a signifacence to the story. Man they should have atleast kept Nia alive. Anyway it really helped me in my worst time of my life, I'll gladly remember it in my future. I was shocked less of her death because i was expecting it as i was spoiled by wedding clip before watching the anime through reels. Nowadays its hard to watch any anime without getting spoiled beforehand.

Anyway so much for appraising the show. I should have watched it very soon rather than keep it waiting. Anybody who are thinking of watching it, go for it. You never know when you'll spoiled & lose some portion of excitement of the show.

Go & Watch Now! Who the hell do you think you're? This is Tengen Toppa. This is Gurren Lagann. My Drill is gonna pierce the heaven.

I was given the costume secondhand from some folks, had it tailored to fit me but I needed shoes! Found a great pair from Japan and today I spent some time at my work painting them up!
