I kinda have guilt for putting off this show for so long—I was there while it was airing but I never got into it until my younger sibling showed me it earlier this year. I finally found time to finish it tonight. Personally I ruined the experience since I already had so much spoilers and background knowledge of the show (I did wait 10 years) but honestly that was my first ever time witnessing the finale!! Sadly I already knew the twist—if I could’ve gone into this show blind I would’ve….

I definitely have some FOMO simply due to the fact that I didn’t get to witness everyone’s discussions as the show was happening. I even remember watching Film Theory about the Book of Bill (prior to watching the show 🫣) and feeling so overwhelmed with the new lore that was given..for a show I didn’t even watch….lol. The fact that this was in 2023, and I still didn’t end up watching the series until 3 years later?? I definitely missed that refresh wave..

I think the humor and jokes hold up well for 14 years😂 especially the gettem guy, he is my favorite (also, i never realized just how many tiktok audios and trending sounds came from this show.)

Honestly I think I would love to see an older Dipper and Mabel, but I’m also ok with the ending we got.

Tbh it seemed inevitable since the summer heat had already caused one to awaken and was already causing the other amber dinosaurs to slowly break out overtime.

Personally I’d hope so, since Gravity Falls having a population of dinosaurs as the wildlife sounds like a really fun concept, and tbh who wouldn’t love dinosaurs making a return?

I've rewatched the series a bunch via streaming, but decided this next watch session to watch via the blu ray box set for the slightly higher quality.

On this rewatch, I discovered the 2nd disc in the collection was defective and the summerween ep is busted on every blu ray player I own...discs look brand new (bc they were never opened until recently)

I looked up what a replacement set would cost and almost cried....$300!!!!

I reached out to GRUV (Previously Shout Factory!) to see if they by some miracle had replacement discs on hand for this release still, but they said since my purchase was before the online store change, they couldn't validate my order details and help me.

There was a flash game series I used to play growing up, they were called the "Vortex Point" games. They were a series of Dark Horror Comedy games set in the fictional town of Vortex Point which team from 2013-2017. You followed Kevin, Craig, and Caroline, three paranormal investigators who would solve cases and mysteries that happened in the town. It was a fair blend of horror and comedy and reminds me a lot of gravity falls. (If you have time to kill I highly recommend checking them out, you can play them online, there's eight games and each game can take you anywhere from about 10-15 minutes to play to completion.) But I was thinking, if they ever made a show of it or if Alex Hirsch was looking for another show similar to gravity falls, it would be perfect. But that's just what I'm thinking.

I work at SpaceBuds we are sci fi themed! We have a 21+ event space. We recently renovated one of the roll up sides of the shipping container to be a living room! Tonight i put on gravity falls!
