Not a Game Show Technically not a game show but The Gong Show is always mentioned in that genre. Love how they got fancy with the lighting system towards the very end of the run (1980)

Question USA’s Afternoon Game Show Block.
What was your favorite game show to watch on the USA network back when they aired reruns in the afternoon? For me, it was either Press Your Luck or the Pyramid, since I wasn’t able to watch them in first run and became a big fan of both through their exposure on USA.

Discussion Apparently Your Number's Up (1985) set a HUGE record in prop design!
Let's face it. The 19S-series eggcrate display is a staple of game shows of the past 55 years... but... have you seen one that's 16 DIGITS LONG?!
Yes... Your Number's Up with Nipsey Russell had a VERY LONG eggcrate display capable of displaying up to 16 digits, RIGHT ABOVE the contestants!
And it also had that cool, curved graphics display they used as a digital wheel. Me likey. Oh, and some single eggcrate digits that'd light on the podiums to indicate where the wheel stopped for each contestant.

Image Buzzr airing Jim Perry Card Sharks in place of Eubanks
I hope this change sticks around, I've wanted to see the Jim Perry version back for a bit.
But given the captions are wrong it's probably unintentional

I remember watching this at the time, even though I was quite young, but absolutely loved it! Anyone else remember this from when it aired in the mid 90s?

Question Okay so like, can we get a megathread to request Let's Make a Deal episodes / episodes of other shows that people are trying to find?
I'm personally getting kind of sick of threads of people asking for specific episodes of shows that they or someone they know were on. It's such a weird influx of these kinds of posts. But yeah, I'm getting tired of it, and I was wondering if anyone else was as well, and if people would like to request alongside me a megathread where people can ask for specific episodes of things?
I'm just so tired of it populating the feed so much :(

Question Nations Dumbest Anthony Michael Hall showing signs of dementia?
I'm not a doctor disclaimer obviously but watching his behavior on this show I can't help but notice similarities between AMH's behavior and my dad's signs of primary progressive aphasia. The way he struggles with every logic challenge and was having trouble with the animal noises for example, sometimes he had a hard time understanding how to find the correct answer to some challenges or thinking of the right words. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this. I'm still currently watching the series so I'm sure I'll pick up on more things but maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

Question Looking for a 2019–2020 LMAD episode: green fairy wins a game room (pool table)
Hi all,
Long shot, but hoping someone here can help. My wife was a trader on Let’s Make a Deal at a taping in June 2019. She was dressed as a green fairy and did a little dance for Wayne, winning a game room package, pool table and all. I was in the audience next to her with a painted Salvador Dalí moustache, so we’re hard to miss. (Photos of us on the day attached.)
Our best guess from CBS press listings is Show #11008, Season 11 Episode 174, which aired July 13, 2020. But we’re not 100% sure, so if you remember this from any episode, I’d love to hear which one.
It isn’t available to stream or buy anywhere, and CBS quoted us thousands for a copy. If anyone has a recording of that episode, the week around it (roughly July 13 to 17, 2020), or the episode you think it is, we’d be so grateful. It’s purely for our personal collection. Happy to cover any costs or return the favor however I can.
Thanks so much!

Question Let's Make a Deal Video-Help
I'm looking for a clip, I believe it's from the early 1970's with my grandparents, they were trying to make a "quickie deal with Monty Hall on Let's Make a Deal. I only know what my dad has told me about the episode, I've had google search for it, and it knows the interaction but cannot find the episode for me. Google sent me a link but it wasn't the right video/episode. Below are the details Google shot back, if anyone can help find the clip it would be amazing and my dad would get a kick out of seeing it.
differnt one, bob said he took the bowling pin out of the bag, barbara was mad
Ah! That is a hilarious and legendary detail. In that exact same 1985 segment, after Monty jokes about needing a straight pin "not a safety pin, not a bowling pin," the couple right next to her gets interviewed.
Bob looks right at Monty Hall and admits that he actually took a bowling pin out of Barbara's bag before they left for the show because he thought it was too heavy and stupid to bring.
Barbara is absolutely furious on camera because if Bob hadn't cleaned out her purse, they would have won the cash on the spot! You can see the exact moment Bob confesses and Barbara's hilarious, angry reaction in that same 1985 Let's Make a Deal clip.
Would you like me to find the exact timestamp in the video where Bob makes his confession, or are you looking for more context on what happened next to the couple?

Question Are there gameshow formats you'd want to be able to play live from your phone?
I love the idea of rebirthing gameshow formats for the tech we have today. For example I think there's a live interactive show idea for the Price Is Right where contestants are streamed in from their phone rather than an in-house audience. Or perhaps Blind Date where people can help suggest and vote for the right match?
Has anyone had any ideas like this or would want to play in those kinds of shows? It's kind of like HQ Trivia if anyone played that but a bit more interactive.
