Reminder: Understanding Reddit's Rules and Posting Restrictions Is Your Responsibility
I want to clarify a few things about posting in r/GameDevPromotions, especially if you're new to Reddit or primarily use the platform to promote your games.
You are responsible for understanding how Reddit works before posting.
Reddit has sitewide rules, automated spam detection, account restrictions, and other systems designed to prevent abuse. These operate independently of the rules I establish for this subreddit. Your post being allowed under our community rules does not automatically mean Reddit will allow it through its own systems.
Reddit is also a collection of communities, not simply a place to advertise your work. Understanding how to participate appropriately, what constitutes spam, and how your account activity might affect your ability to post is part of being a Reddit user.
In the future, I won't manually investigate every complaint about posts removed by Reddit's automated systems.
I operate this subreddit voluntarily, and I don't have time to investigate individual account restrictions, posting histories, or the various reasons Reddit might flag someone's content. Resources are available to help you understand Reddit's policies and use the platform appropriately.
If Reddit is consistently removing your posts, take the initiative to understand why. Read the guidelines, understand how Reddit operates, and consider whether your posting behaviour might be contributing to the problem.
I want r/GameDevPromotions to remain a useful place for developers to share their work and discover what others are creating. Part of maintaining that environment is expecting everyone who participates to take some personal responsibility.
I am happy to provide a space for developers to promote their work. I am not here to troubleshoot how to use Reddit for every individual who encounters a restriction.
This is basic community housekeeping, and I think it's a reasonable expectation for anyone who chooses to participate.

Promote your work, yes, I’m telling you that it’s perfectly acceptable, unlike on r/gameDev.
Feel free to share whatever you want as long as it’s related to games. This space is meant to be a free-for-all—a bit like the wild west—where anything goes (within reason). The goal is to give folks a space to post freely and, hopefully, keep some of these posts from spilling over into r/gamedev.

Every time I think the look is solidified I come up with something new to add or change. What do you think of this updated look?

WedgeWreck Rally — my truck combat racer is free to try in your browser
Hey, I'm the developer of WedgeWreck Rally at Forbidden Fruit Productions. It's a combat racer with some pretty ridiculous trucks, drifting and stackable power-ups.
You can play the browser version free here:
https://www.crazygames.com/game/wedgewreck-rally-pcz
The weapons have three layers: machine guns, collected powers and a special weapon for each truck. I'd love feedback on whether those are clear during a first race, and how the handling feels.
Disclosure: the game uses AI-assisted graphics. AI also helped draft this post.

RunGun Riot is out in Windows Early Access — neon 2D battle royale (developer post)
Hey, I'm the developer of RunGun Riot at Forbidden Fruit Productions. It's a paid Windows Early Access game that launched on Steam on October 27.
Pick from eight fighters, scavenge gear and stay ahead of the storm. You can try the Practice Range and offline bot matches, or play online Singles and Duos (with bots filling empty slots). Online capacity and busy-match performance are still being improved.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5223590/
Disclosure: the game uses generative AI artwork, music, voices and sound effects, including promotional art. It doesn't generate AI content during play. AI helped draft this post too.
If you give it a go, I'd love to hear whether fights are easy to read.

RATATA, a physics co-op where your animal gang pays off debt to a mafia toad.
RATATA is a physics co-op for up to 4 players set in an ’80s criminal animal world. Your gang owes money to a mafia boss. She’s a toad, and whatever she needs done, you do.
Pick animals with different abilities, choose a truck, and take on heists, deliveries and increasingly questionable odd jobs. Getting the cargo into the truck is one problem. Getting it delivered intact is another.
Most of the money goes to the Boss. The rest pays for new crew members, better vehicles and upgrades to your hideout.
Coming to PC via Steam, with online co-op and solo play (if nobody picks up the phone).

PAYDIRT’s free mining demo passes 1,000 claims — a look at our full-game plans
We’re Fossil Studios, the developer of PAYDIRT: Gold Mining Tycoon. Our free First Crew demo has passed 1,000 claims on Steam since launch. Thank you to everyone who has given it a try.
PAYDIRT starts small: a tent, hand tools and your dog Pepper beside the creek. Find paydirt, recover and sell gold, upgrade your tools, and earn enough to shelter and hire your first helper.
To mark the milestone, here’s some concept art exploring where we want to take the full game: larger camps, equipment upgrades, river dredging, underground mines and cold-weather claims. The final image is a board of machinery designs in development.
Images 1–4 are concept art, not gameplay screenshots. Image 5 shows work-in-progress asset renders. These full-game plans are still being developed, aren’t available in the demo, and may change.
The demo is free for Windows and macOS. Play it and wishlist the full game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5409200/
Thanks for being here at the start.

It is NOT a Portal!

Play demo (with 20 levels): https://store.steampowered.com/app/4359960/Rayborne/
Hi, everyone
While waiting endlessly for a new Portal game, three of us decided to build our own puzzle game after work. We called it Rayborne.
Instead of portals, we took only laser mechanics and created portal-like game around that + additional other mechanics like logic gates or more types of barriers. We basically took our favorite elements from Portal and The Talos Principle and combined them. We showcased it at local events in Poland (like PGA) and got awesome feedback, everyone asked how many wishlists we have and the answer is ~700 now. Game development took us 1.5 year. Most of these are from Steam next-fest. For comparision our previous game gained 1.5k on 2024 Steam Next fest, we don't know why we get only ~500 wsihlist from this year Next fest? maybe because we had worse store assets? (now they are more eye catching)
Since we’re just 3 after-hours devs, we kind of dropped the ball on marketing early on, so we're trying to build up our Steam wishlists now that the game is almost finished.
So if you like puzzle game or enjoyed playing portal - check demo version on our steam

After months of work, I’ve finally released my first Android game Ball Jump 🎉
Hey everyone 👋
I’ve spent the past few months working on Ball Jump, and I’m a little nervous and very happy to finally share it with you. It’s the first game I’ve ever launched, so this is a pretty special moment for me.
I’m still learning as I go, and I’ve really enjoyed seeing it come together, one small improvement at a time. There’s something lovely about knowing that someone out there might now be playing a game I’ve spent so much time working on.
In Ball Jump, you bounce across platforms and climb through forests, icy landscapes, and thunderstorms. Along the way, you can collect coins, unlock different ball skins, and challenge yourself in Infinite Mode.
It’s free to play on Android. If it looks like your kind of game, I’d love for you to give it a try. I’ll keep working on it and sharing improvements as I learn more.
🎮 Play Ball Jump on Google Play
Thanks for taking a moment to check out my first game. It means a lot, and I hope you have fun with it! ❤️

Pull Me In is here!
Pull Me In is a horror life simulator where you can decorate your house, build relationships, watch TV and then discover that someone in your neighborhood might be possessed.
What I love about the possession system is that it can happen to your character too. You can try to understand what you’re dealing with and perform an exorcism, but you might end up becoming the next vessel yourself.
With Halloween around the corner, it felt like the right time to share a little of what we’ve been making.
You can check out Pull Me In on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4100630/Pull_Me_In/
