Is anyone having issues logging in?

I tried logging in and was hit with a entered password too many times error immediately.

I used the reset password trick to bypass it (timeout is 30 mins) and was hit with the error on the launcher immediately with the first log in. And I pasted the new password in, so that shouldn't have happened. I also logged into Mogstation just fine before that with the new password (also pasted), so it's correct.

I do have the one time password, but a single wrong password entry shouldn't have triggered anything. I also checked the log in history and no one else did log in, so at least my account wasn't hacked.

EDIT: TLDR and other stuff

Before password reset, one log in attempt in the launcher triggered the timeout. No actual wrong password error message was displayed.

I’m finally in post msq for dawn trail and really am over the story at this part at least. I’m at the point where I just don’t care anymore. It made me wonder if there’s a list somewhere of cutscenes/quests that don’t add anything to the overall plot that can be breezed through. I’ve seen stuff like that for tv shows, and it made me curious.

This is something I've been struggling with for a while. Sometimes when doing trials or raids, and there are a lot of flashy attacks or effects on the screen, I genuinely can't see my mouse cursor between all the bright lights and it takes me a solid second to find it again.

I'm not sure if it's my ADHD, because I get easily distracted, but it has happened a couple of times and I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem, and how did they deal with it? Are there any settings to make it bigger or change the colors?

I've heard in the new expansion SE is going to get rid of the raid party buffs to help eliminate the 2 minute meta. I've also heard that Machinist is pretty disliked in raids due to not having any raid party buffing abilities. Would that mean Machinist would get a soft buff?

I'm asking because I plan on maining Machinist, and I would like to know if this is potentially a good thing for the job.

So I've been trying to decide and MMORPG to get into and settled on this one... several times. But I kinda fall into the loop of playing for an hour, not knowing what I'm doing, killing random things, then stopping. Repeat for a week then stop playing for like 8 months. I like grindy games and stuff so I'm sure I'd enjoy it if I actually know what I'm doing. Anything would be helpful. QoL tips and tricks, beginner progression, how classes actually feel. I'm planning on making a new character and starting over but I'm honestly not even sure how the server/world stuff even works either. Is there a class or something that people recommend? I mostly play solo since my friends aren't super into MMO's if that changes any suggestions.

I just did the Castrum, and I gotta thank the people that kept raising me.

We were a group of 15 people and manages decently, nearly ran out of time once. A good amount of deaths and we couldn't free the prisoners in time, so not a perfect run.

Is the instance synced to how many people there are? Is it a lot more difficult with less people?

A friend said that when he did the second duty (I have not gotten there so no idea what it is) was ridiculously difficult even with a big group (he did it like... two years ago and hasn't played Bozja since).

Is it possible to clear it with a small party?

And just out of curiosity, how long does one of those instances usually last?

I know lots of things will change with Evercold, so talking about it now is probably a moot point.

Anyway, I don’t understand why running roulettes with a job not at level cap will only reward GC seals and money. If I need tomestones I’m forced to run roulettes with a job already at level cap.

It’s a bit annoying honestly.

I’m a main tank, I’ve beaten an ultimate before but As a DPS (RDM) and I wanna go for a bigger challenge and been told how complicated DSR is I wanna give it a try with my main job (DRK) and besides looking for guides I would genuinely appreciate any sort of advice !!

So tell me if I’m wrong, All jobs have a strict rotation you kind of have to stick to, raids are more like a coordinated dance than a reactive or free form combat style. Everyone playing your job is pretty much playing it the same way as you and any deviation from this set pattern will probably end with your team wiped or you dying?

I love final fantasy in general, played quite a few of them, and I’ve always wanted to get into ff14 but I hate games that require static dedication to “press x three times or failure”. I like a challenge, I like when a game throws too many mobs at me, or fighting a boss on Elden ring while playing dual swords or being under leveled, but those kind of games depend on my own reaction time and combat habits. Not necessarily someone on my team not executing there 14 button rotation, but my own mistakes. Do you think it’s worth jumping in now for a player like me? Or should I wait for evercold? And do you think evercold will fix this issue completely? Or make jobs less homogeneous? Are you hoping the current system isn’t changed too much? I’m curious.
