Player Discussion Let’s have a discussion about Zach Charbonnet

Ok, let’s be real about Charbs… can he really be fantasy relevant? He can, but can he be a fringe RB2? The arguments for this: there is no Kenneth Walker anymore, which leaves Charbonnet as the primary running back (most likely) on an elite offense. He will get most of the work as Price will mainly be a change of pace back and Charbonnet can not only run the ball, but catch the ball as well. The Seattle defense is very good, which may lead to a positive gamescript and a lot of running. Plus, Charbonnet was getting most of the goal-line work, even when K9 was there. Plus, he’s had 2 full weeks of practices before, potentially, playing this week. A full week of practice is good enough for a player to be physically ready to play, let alone two.

The arguments against: Charbonnet is coming off a major injury, he may have a slow start and he may be hampered. Price is coming off IR and Wilson has definitely been serviceable. Wilson has had 80+ yards and 3 TDs as the starter in various different games this year, plus he’s getting the volume… the Seahawks also have Holani who, can more or less, catch the ball. So there’s Wilson, Price, and Holani in Charbs’ way. What do you guys think?

Is Charbonnet fool’s gold? Or can he be relied upon?

TLDR: Charbs may be the workhorse but his injury is holding him back

Player Discussion Texans Defense - Droppable or Hold Through the Bye?

One of the biggest disappointments this year has been the Texans defense (both from a fantasy and real-life perspective). Drafted as a top-2 defense, Houston currently isn't even a top-10 fantasy scoring defense so far this year.

It's insane to see such a drop off with no real explanation behind it. This defense had all-time great potential, but they're not even good.

Going into their bye, should there even be a conversation for keeping them rostered? Or is there hope they can turn it around for the second half of the season?

It's not unheard of for units to turn it around post bye, and they've got some interesting matchups coming up: @LAC, @CLE, IND, BAL, and @PIT over their next 5.

Player Discussion Best handcuff on waivers? Seth McGowan has multiple ways to hit

McGowan is the only Colts RB besides Jonathan Taylor who has played a snap this year, and his role keeps growing: 6% of the snaps in Week 2, 33% last week, with a career-high 11 carries in a one-score game.

Three ways he pays off:

- His role keeps growing even with Taylor healthy

- Taylor gets hurt (he's at 20 carries a game)

- The Colts trade Taylor (they just moved Quenton Nelson, though ownership reportedly wants to keep JT *which I don't really believe*)

He's on 25.6% of Sleeper rosters but only 4% on ESPN.

Is he worth a spot on your bench, or are you waiting to see if Taylor actually gets moved?

I would still rank it: Coleman then Black then McGowan for now, right?

**EDIT: The Colts firesale continues! Buckner traded to the 49ers!**

Wins above Replacement after week 7

WAR measures how many more wins a specific player generates compared to an average replacement player at the same position. In my opinion it's the best way to compare the value of players across positions cause it accounts for positional scarcity.

Here are the WAR leaders over the last 4 weeks:

biggest risers:

  • Jameson Williams and ARSB both rose by more than 10 spots
  • Drake Maye takes the no. 1 QB spot from Josh Allen
  • Judkins jumped from RB 18 to RB 10, Irving from RB 19 to RB 11
  • Malik Nabers takes the no. 1 WR spot from Puka Nacua

biggest fallers:

  • Garrett Wilson dropped the most, from WR 14 to WR 38
  • Derrick Henry dropped 13 spots, Bijan Robinson 7 spots
  • Christian Watson fell from WR 8 to WR 19
  • Brock Purdy fell out of the top 100

And here are the leaders over the season:

trend = players with a change of at least 5 spot since last week

Methodology:

  • Every week, all players are ranked by fantasy points to calculate an average team score and the standard deviation for a 12-team league with 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and 1 Flex
  • for each player, I calculate how much higher his win probability is compared to a replacement player
  • Replacement player = the average points of the next best non starters at each position. The next 12 players for WR and RB, and the next 6 players for QB and TE.
  • Win Probability = (player points - position average starter points) / team standard deviation. The same is calculated for the replacement player
  • WAR = player win probability − replacement player win probability

Tools & Resources Poop-Dolla's Week 8 Team Defense Rankings

For week 7, my rankings were again more accurate overall than the consensus. My rankings were off by an average of 8.7 compared to 10.4 for the consensus. We both had 4 of our top 11 teams finish in the top 11. If you include that next cluster tied for 12-16, I had 11/16 correct compared to 8/16 for the consensus rankings.

Let’s look at the teams that I called out last week for my rankings and the consensus greatly differing on. I was higher on TEN, DAL, ARI and DET, and I was closer to the right rank on all of them except ARI. I was lower on DEN, KC, LAR, and NE, and I was closer to the right rank on all of them. So I went 7-1 against consensus ranks on those 8 teams.

Results Rank Team My Rank Consensus Rank
1 TB 11 18
2 ATL 28 28
3 CIN 27 19
3 MIN 1 1
3 SEA 12 11
6 PIT 13 5
7 DET 14 25
7 GB 24 27
7 IND 16 22
10 CLE 5 6
10 TEN 8 15
12 CHI 19 14
12 DAL 6 21

24 ARI 7 20
25 SF 18 12
26 BAL 21 17
27 CAR 4 8
27 PHI 25 23

On to Week 8. The top teams that I’m higher on this week are WAS, DET, DAL, and TB. WAS is also ranked top ten by the consensus, but the rest should be available streaming options in most leagues. I’m lower by at least 10 spots each on NE, DEN, and MIN this week. All three of those are in the consensus top 10, but not in mine. I do still have NE at 11 though.

Rank Team Opp Projected Score
1 WAS PHI 10.0
2 LAR LAC 9.8

Add Jordyn Tyson NOW, not later.

• Upvotes

Does your team need one last number one threat to put it over the top? Is your team a completely ravaged and you need anything to get it moving again?

Rarely does somebody like Tyson come along at this stage of the season that could save your team.

He is exactly what the Saints need. He's exactly the type of wide receiver a gunslinger Shough is looking to air it out too.

Olave is not a deep big play threat, they will not risk him on dangerous throws resulting in big impacts. Vele is a 2 or 3.

As the WR room has gotten healthier, Juwan Johnson use has dwindled. Shough likes his Wide Receivers.

Stash him on IR, replace your worst player with him.

He was the best WR in the draft imo with the highest ceiling and upside, and the Tyler Shough Saints are made for him to thrive.

Dont be the one looking back wishing you had made the easy move that saved your team

2026 Fantasy Football Usage Report Week 7: Time to Trust Cooper and Taylor for the Jets?

I'm back this season with the F6P weekly usage report. Here is a preview of the Week 7 post. Each week I hit on just about every team, but this week's highlighted teams are...

  • Bengals RB
  • Cardinals RB
  • Chargers RB
  • Cardinals WR/TE
  • Commanders WR/TE

What usage from Week 7 or this season has caught your attention?

Running Backs

Key: snaps/rush att/targets/inside 5 carries

Green Bay Packers

  • Josh Jacobs 35/11/7/1
  • MarShawn Lloyd 24/6/2/0
  • Pierre Strong 8/0/0/0

Jacobs made his season debut after coming off the Commissioner's Exempt List. In his first game of the season, he played 52% of the snaps and got 11 carries, seven targets and the only carry inside the five. The low snaps do not worry me at all when I see he dominated the usage like he did, especially in the passing game.

It looks like MarShawn Lloyd has gone back to being the primary handcuff in this backfield. He played 24 snaps compared to just eight for Pierre Strong. I do expect Jacobs role to grow a bit more, so Lloyd will be very hard to trust going forward.

Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Key: snaps/routes run/targets/end zone targets

New York Jets

  • Garrett Wilson 50/29/3/0
  • Omar Cooper Jr. 38/23/5/0
  • Mason Taylor 37/21/6/2
  • Adonai Mitchell 26/18/3/1
  • Kenyon Sadiq 22/12/1/0

Cooper showed out in Week 6, but that was without Adonai Mitchell. This past week, despite Mitchell returning, he did it again. Wilson is still the main guy there, but if Cooper is somehow still available in your league, he is a must-add.

The bigger story might be Mason Taylor. He led the team with six targets, got two end zone targets and ran a route on 64% of dropbacks. Kenyon Sadiq still hasn't gotten his role back, and he played just 37% of the snaps. If you need a tight end, Taylor is the one I'd add here.

If you enjoyed these two teams' write-ups, read the rest on https://fantasysixpack.net/2026-fantasy-football-usage-report-week-7/

Player Discussion Bengals D/ST are near set-and-forget for the rest of the season.

• Upvotes

The Cincinnati Bengals D/ST is a top waiver add this week against the Tennessee Titans. If you picked them up, already roster them, or still have the chance to add them, they are worth serious consideration.

There’s always some variance with D/STs throughout the season, but the Bengals could offer one of the safest floors at the position. They have the potential to be a near set-and-forget option moving forward.

Tools & Resources Hunter Henry: 3 straight top-12 TE weeks, and other Week 8 data dives

• Upvotes

As noted last week, Hunter Henry was TE6 over past 3 weeks and trending to a solid ~10pt floor which he produced again in Week 7.

The trend looks promising RoS:

He's jumped from 47% to 58% ESPN rostered since last week, but if he's still sitting there for some reason definitely worth rostering, even with Raridon in the picture.

As for TEs that do remain under 50% ESPN rostered, we find mister Strange has a favorable matchup this week with a boosted ceiling. 19% of targets on jags offense is worth a confident TE stream at minimum this week if you're in need.

Or look in the direction of WAS where Chig saw a meaningful rise in utility in the absence of scary terry.

On the WR spectrum, Cooper and KC are plastered everywhere and have likely been rostered already so I'll omit those.

Guys like Ryan Flournoy are just 17% ESPN rostered with add momentum increasing over past 7 days and has had a solid 3 week performance. This week he's worth a streamer if you need a flex play:

Guys like Makai Lemon (38% rost) and Keon Coleman (28% rost) both have high ceiling streaming upside this week, though I'd lean Coleman if debating between these. McKee looks rough and his throws are getting Lemon absolutely flattened between defenders.

RB side of things are bleak this year. Most findings are for guys >50% rostered. 4 weeks ago the discourse was shunning guys like Ollie Gordon, Braelon Allen, and E. Wilson, but they've all been top 12 RB producers. Even Blake Corum is fantasy relevant now as RB11 over the past 3 weeks.

For QB streaming I'd go for Penix at just 16% rostered. He's 9th in EPA per dropback and QB5 over the past 3 weeks.
