Mod Post 300k content monetization challenge mega-thread

(reminder: the mods of /r/facebook are not affiliated with meta or Facebook)

For over two months now, people have been making posts here and there regarding the 300k content challenge that Meta/Facebook has claimed for content. Of late, that is practically all anyone is posting. Having the same post over and over makes the sub a mess, so these posts are going to be pulled.

Before pulling some of the posts, here are the headlines after searching 300k challenge in the sub:

  • Facebook 300k monetization challenge, someone already got invited? Almost end of August, someone had to be invited already, right?
  • Finally got monetised from the 300k challenge or whatever lollllllllll
  • Facebook Monetization 300k views challenge. Are we officially getting scammed by Meta? (mod note: this one was three days ago)
  • New 300k monetization challenge, has anyone completed it yet? What happened? (mod note: this one was two months ago)
  • Spoke to live agent regarding 300k challenge the response is unacceptable
  • Anyone else still waiting for invitation after 300k challenge from meta (mod note: two days ago)

... the list goes on and on... like, a lot.

The purpose of this subreddit is for articles about Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg found harvesting human souls for his robot army) or tech support. Similar to when an outage causes thousands of posts to happen, everyone posting the same few things over and over again is not going to help anyone, so for the few folk out there that have found this post thanks to searching the sub (there are DOZENS of you) or found through a search engine, please post any of your thoughts, frustrations, and successes on said topic in this thread. If you happen to see a 300k post mentioned afterwards, please report it, rule would be either 5 for no meme or custom response: repost.

To answer a big question that's posted a lot:

Are we being scammed?

I mean, it's Facebook so technically just using the platform is a scam in and of itself, however, here are a few links from users claiming they finally got theirs:

Here is a link from someone who was able to contact a "rep" (a term used loosely in the world of AI)

With there being said, Facebook has 2.11 billion daily active users. So if you take the conversation above with this information, then it makes sense it could take an insanely long time for them to do whatever review it is they claim they need to do.

Remember this extremely important quote:

You’re Not the Customer; You’re the Product

Discussion Facebook used to be where friends connected. Now it's just strangers.

I open the app and see 10 posts from strangers for every 1 from someone I actually know. The online friends bar on the right is gone. Even Stories are from strangers now.

It's not what it used to be.

Disabled/hacked Got Suspended for “Drugs!” I made a joke about an extremely aged 39 year-old criminal “Meth is one helluva drug”

I got suspended for a joke and FB/Meta thinks I’m a drug dealer! Their algorithm is insane! I’ve seen this same joke everywhere else and nobody gets suspended! This is ridiculous!

Discussion Who I see and interact with on my Facebook page has totally changed.

Over the last month or so, I've noticed that those I usually interact with, friends, family, groups, and pages, have mostly disappeared, and instead I am seeing people I've never heard of, have no friends or likes, in common, and a good portion of them, their pages or in spanish, German, French, Italian, and even Dutch/Swedish.

Anyone else notice this? Why am I seeing complete strangers and foreign languages (Inread/write/speak and understand only English) and have to search out those I interact with to see what they have posted lately?

I totally understand the "expand your circle of friends" thing, but why close what I have and try to make me form a whole new circle with people I can't even communicate with?

Discussion Facebook reach has gone down quite a bit. What is going on? Anyone else?

Hello. I am basically out of luck here trying to figure this out. My Facebook posts on my business page (news) and all legit stuff no fake news or anything lol, has gone basically to almost 99% less reach in last 9 days.

Posts basically showing to all my followers, getting a GREAT engagement rate. Then it dies. Doesn't show to non-followers. I have no violations on my page status and I am still showing recommended. I hate this.

Anyone experiencing something similar?

Discussion Can we restrict someone on facebook in a way that he will not see any of my post but will still be friends?

• Upvotes

Apparently I know someone who might have been restricted by someone on facebook in some way that she cannot see any of that person's posts. But they are still friends on facebook. She can only see the public posts. And that person is not someone who will make the effort where it will take a long time to hide like thousands of posts separately only for her. Can someone hide thousands of posts separately by using a single setting in any way?

Discussion Life after Meta, aka Facebook and Instagram. What alterantives are there?

Many of us were suspended by AI, then had our appeals decided by AI and are now home from Facebook, wondering what's next. I would love to know what other social media platforms people are using. Here are mine.

BluSky

It was founded when Elon bought Twitter. Seems to have the most users. Decent apps and site. Text, photos and videos. No groups save text input is very short.

Reddit

Only place that I know where you have a lot of use and group-like behaviour.

X

Large use base but not getting much engagement on posts. The community notes feature is nice.

Signal

I only use this for DM, it's secure, owned by a non profit. Rock solid performance.

Almost all instagram alternatives are next to dead, no active users so ghost towns.

Disabled/hacked Facebook fan page suspended after 11 years for impersonation – appeal rejected, how can I reach a human at Meta?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has successfully recovered a suspended or deleted Facebook fan page.

I've been running a Facebook fan page dedicated to a sports club for 11 years. It is a fan page, not an official club page, and it was created to share news, updates, and content related to the club.

Recently, Facebook suspended/removed the page for alleged impersonation. I submitted an appeal through the available review option, but it was unsuccessful. The response felt automated, and I still don't understand what specifically violated the rules.

There are many other fan pages dedicated to the same club, so I don't understand why mine was targeted after 11 years.

Disabled/hacked My accounts have been disabled. I don’t know what to do, is there anyone who can help me?

So, a few months ago I had gotten the unfortunate news when logging (or lack thereof) that I had been disabled. The reason is absolutely ridiculous and damaging to my character because that specific content they accuse me of is not what I share or post on my page. But I was wondering if there was anything to do to get my Facebook back? I’ve grown emotional about not getting back into it because it has personal stuff in there that was only through Facebook. I had a backup account and that one was disabled as well. I had created another account but that got quickly disabled as well. So if there’s anything to help me get my account(s) back that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Tech Support Facebook acc keeps getting restricted everyday - how do i request review?

Post image
1 Upvotes

hello please help me on what i can do.

my account was restricted for “cybersecurity“ violations from years ago last Oct 26, restricting me from running ads, doing live videos, and joining or starting calls til Nov 26,2026. They also wont recommend my account to more people. I sent request review only once.

The following day i was restricted again for another post, and they extended my restriction til Dec 26, 2026. I cannot request a review for those and they only sent me to Meta Business Help which doesnt even help me at all as its an AI that just repeats and summarizes my situation.

I honestly don’t mind if they dont recommend my account or restrict me from running ads because I dont even do that. I’m moreso scared that since they’re giving me more and more restrictions everyday, they might end up disabling my account. Facebook is the only platform everyone has in my country so this is my main way of communication with friends and family.

I would like to know how can I have the option to request a review? I do have my account verified so that doesn’t seem to be the issue.

Tech Support WhatsApp Business randomly suspended my account, rejected my appeal almost immediately, gave me ZERO explanation!

I'm absolutely fucking furious.

My WhatsApp Business account was suspended without warning, without a proper explanation, and without telling me what the hell I supposedly did wrong. I submitted an appeal through the app, hoping that an actual human being would look at the situation and resolve it. Instead, my appeal was rejected almost immediately. No meaningful explanation. No useful support. Nothing.

And just like that, a business communication channel I rely on every single day is gone.

I'm running a legitimate, registered business here in Paraguay. I use WhatsApp Business to communicate with customers, answer questions, coordinate deliveries, discuss payments, and handle everyday business operations. This isn't some spam operation or some shady business. This is how I communicate with the people who actually keep my business running.

Now I've lost access to more than 300 customer contacts.

Think about that for a moment. More than 300 customer contacts, accumulated through actual work, time, and effort, suddenly inaccessible because some automated system decided to suspend my account. I don't know what triggered it. I don't know what rule I supposedly violated. And apparently, I'm not even entitled to a proper explanation.

What the actual fuck is wrong with these companies?

And this is especially insane here in Paraguay, South America, where EVERYTHING runs through WhatsApp. I'm talking about banks, lawyers, judges, business communications, doctors, hospital appointments practically everything. WhatsApp isn't just some optional messaging app here. It's an essential part of everyday life and doing business.

Getting banned doesn't just mean losing access to a chat app. It can mean losing contact with customers, business partners, service providers, and people you depend on for important matters. For a small business, this can have real financial consequences.

We're living in a world where everything is being shoved into apps, every business is encouraged to use digital platforms, and companies like Meta practically dominate the communication channels people depend on. Then, when something goes wrong, you're left completely helpless. Your business can be disrupted overnight, and you're expected to just accept it.

And now there's AI fucking everywhere. Automated moderation, automated decisions, automated appeals, automated customer service. Everything is becoming automated, but somehow the companies behind all this technology seem increasingly incapable of providing actual customer support.

You can't talk to a real person. You can't get a straight answer. You can't properly challenge a decision. You just get generic AI-generated responses that tell you absolutely nothing useful.

And if you try to find out why you were banned? They throw links to their Terms of Service and policies at you and expect you to figure it out yourself. Which specific rule did you violate? What exactly did you do wrong? What can you do to fix it?

Nobody fucking tells you.

Instead, you get an appeal process that rejects your request almost immediately, followed by a wall of automated responses. I've spent hours trying to reach someone who could actually help me. All I've found is more AI, more generic answers, and more dead ends.

And before someone tells me that platforms have the right to enforce their rules: Of course they do. But if you're going to suspend a legitimate business account, at least tell the business owner WHY. Give people a meaningful explanation. Give them a fair chance to correct a problem if there actually is one. And provide a support process that isn't just an automated rejection machine.

I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for basic accountability.

The most infuriating part is that these companies want us to trust them with our businesses, our customer relationships, our data, and our communication. They want everyone to build their lives around their platforms. But the moment their systems make a mistake, suddenly there's nobody to talk to and nobody willing to take responsibility.

And honestly? I've had enough of this shit.

I'm seriously considering deleting everything Meta-related. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, the whole fucking package. Why should I continue giving my time, data, attention, and business to a company that can cause this much damage and then leave me without a meaningful way to resolve it?

Maybe it's time to stop supporting these platforms and start taking back control. Maybe businesses should stop putting so much trust in companies that can pull the plug whenever their automated systems feel like it.

Because this isn't just about my WhatsApp account anymore. It's about a system where ordinary people and small businesses have practically no power when a giant tech company decides to shut them out.

And when this happens in a place like Paraguay, where WhatsApp is deeply embedded in everyday life, the consequences go far beyond a few missing messages. It's about access to customers, essential services, and the basic ability to run a business.

When an entire region relies so heavily on your platform, you have a responsibility to provide real support and accountability. You can't just shut people out and pretend the consequences don't matter.

Oh, wait... looks like they can.

Fuck the endless automation. Fuck the complete lack of transparency. And fuck the idea that we're supposed to accept automated decisions that can seriously damage our businesses without even being told why.

I'm done putting blind trust in these platforms.

Has anyone else dealt with this absolute nightmare? Has anyone actually managed to get their WhatsApp Business account reinstated after an appeal was rejected almost immediately? Or are we all just supposed to sit here and accept whatever these companies decide to do to us?

Edit: Added more context, can´t cool down.

Disabled/hacked Facebook Account Permanently disabled falsely even with appeal. Need help to restore my images and notes from highschool.

I haven't opened this account in so long, and when I did, I was met with a disabled account. Tried to appeal with the video selfie thing, but it still won't let me try to recover it.

I've done nothing that's remotely related to child exploitation. I've also seen some others here dealing with the same thing.

Is there a fix? I have a lot of photos and messages there that are very important to me.

Disabled/hacked FB saw my Account was Hacked Banned them Anyway - Anyone have any advice

I’m honestly at my wit’s end with Facebook/Meta support and I’m hoping somebody here has dealt with something similar.

A few days ago I got what looked like an invite to test an “OpenAI AdsGPT” app through Apple TestFlight. It looked legitimate enough that I connected my Facebook account. I later found out it was NOT an official OpenAI product, so I immediately changed my passwords and secured everything.

The problem is, a few hours later Facebook itself started sending me alerts saying they believed my account had been hacked. There were attempted video uploads and other activity I absolutely did not do.

Facebook temporarily restricted my account, restored some things, and then eventually permanently disabled my personal account.

On top of that, I ran a very successful wrestling Instagram account connected to my promotion, and the same thing happened there too TWICE. Those account was completely suspended as well, with basically no meaningful explanation beyond an account-integrity violation.

So now I’ve lost not only my personal Facebook, but also TWO business Instagram accounts I spent years building, promoting shows on, communicating with fans through, and growing organically.

I’ve already:

* Changed all passwords

* Logged out sessions

* Submitted my ID

* Done the hacked-account recovery process

* Appealed the decisions

* Sent screenshots/evidence

Facebook’s own system literally told me my account was hacked, but somehow I’m still being punished for whatever the hacker did. Now the appeals say the decision is final and I can’t request another review.

The most frustrating part is that I cannot seem to reach an actual human being at Meta unless I pay for Meta Verified, and even that doesn’t guarantee anything.

I have screenshots of the TestFlight invite, Facebook’s “we think your account was hacked” alerts, the unauthorized activity, and the account disablements.

Has anyone successfully gotten a REAL human review after Facebook says an account is permanently disabled and there are no more appeals?

I’m not looking for anyone offering paid “account recovery” services or DMs claiming they can hack the account back. I’m specifically looking for legitimate Meta escalation options or someone who has been through this before.

Discussion Sudden FB Review of My Account & Receieved Community Standards Violations?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Ugh, I think something (or someone) triggered Facebook to review my profile & content, suddenly resulting in 2 strikes w/ an account waening for violating the Community Stndarda on Spam - one was a post I probably made half-asleep where my hand was twitching & posted a random link, which does come off as spam & is my bad. The other wasn't spam or a didn't violate any Comnunity Standards though - it was a comment reply made a few months ago to a friend who had commented & expressed concern on my post about having a multi-day migraine. Both the friend's comment & my response to her were in regards to said migraine during a social event we had both attended the prior Sunday & my response was saying I caight it early & shared the practical ways I had managed the migraine during said community event. There was no unsolicited advice nor links & nothing "spam" about a normal, respectful conversation between friends

Maybe someone disliked the two progressive posts I've made on specific societal issues & to educate/inform (where I list share viewpoints with facts/statistics backed by reputable sources & am NOT attacking/criticizing any specific politicians just policies) 🤷‍♀️

Any way, I challenged the decision & asked for a review but the review came back & they still found they both, including the comment to a friend, violated the Community Standards & I still have the strikes. This was the first time in my 20yrs of having Facebook that's I received Community Standards or similiar strikes. What do you all think could have actually triggered my account to get reviewed? Also should I stay quiet on Facebook for a while to stay off their radar & accidentally trigger anymore strikes? How long might the strikes stay on my account?

Disabled/hacked I cannot sign into my account I’ve had for almost two decades? Is there any solution to this?

Thumbnail

I signed out temporarily and that was the biggest mistake I’ve made. It’s asking me to check my notifications on a phone I do not have anymore or check my notifications on the phone I’m currently using to sign in on. Is there any customer support at all for this? When I verify via selfie it bugs out and says “an unexpected error occurred”
