I am saying this because personas are a sneaky trap, that will keep eq running for a long time. Personas add power and versatile to your box group. Personas make you log in every day to do overseer. Personas get you to plan how to grind extra AAs during days with extra experience. Personas get you to farm group gear for all personas.

In a few months after a release of a new expansion it is easy to be max level and AAs again. Without personas you reduce the amount of hours you play every week. With personas your on game time increases by a wide margin.

Alts are not the same because not everybody enjoys doing progression over and over again.

I have 2 buff bot Shamans, and beastlords and working on my second druid for skin. I have a max AA wizard for porting, where I grinded his AAs doing final fugue for other personas. I am leveling a bard on my tanks account, to box on raids when needed. Getting raid progression and raid coin on a second account is very nice.

Some people in my guild are grinding out personas at a much faster rate than I am.
