This guy is kind of goofy but man I think he's onto something here. Nobody I'm aware of has noticed this before and it really makes sense.
To summarize the vid/discovery: With the cam change in the '09+ VVT Hemi the lifter upward travel is reduced to the point that the oil band in the lifter no longer overlaps the lifter oil galley. This is greatly reducing oil flow to the lower half of the lifter and thus the roller and needle bearings.
This perfectly explains why pre VVT engines don't suffer lifter failures, and why '09+ non-MDS fail at at least the same rate.
Dodge made a bunch of changes to the lifters over the years. But as far as I'm aware they never changed the oiling band. So it stands to reason that not even Dodge has figure this out.

Disappointed why Dodge has pushed the Hurricane instead of the Hemi? Tim Healey of HotCars explains what it took to bring a powerful V8 out way back in the late 1970's.

Back with Part 3 of our 2023 Charger GT AWD build!
After all the fabrication work on the custom valved exhaust, we finally got it back on the dyno. Went from 276 WHP to 286 WHP, so we picked up 10 horsepower with the exhaust changes.
Not a massive gain, but the bigger issue ended up being the sound and drivability.
With the valve open, the top end actually sounds pretty mean, but there's still some unwanted rasp in the mid-range. Close the valve and the rasp mostly disappears, but now we're getting a weird surge at lower RPMs.
We're thinking the valve placement and exhaust pulse behavior might be playing a role, so it's back to the drawing board for Part 4.

I was looking into buying a retired police charger, how realistic would swapping a manual transmission into one with an awd system? I know itd require some fabrication since dodge never made a manual for an awd

So recently in the mornings when I turn the car on the uconnect display doesn’t turn on and I get a warning saying blind spot temporarily unavailable. I figured out that it comes on whenever I’m driving and the temp gauge climbs off the bottom or if I blast both defrost but now the Bluetooth, fm, and am radio just won’t work. The screen is taking my inputs, I can see the song playing but it won’t put out any audio. It also is showing an hour behind and I’m just confused on what the problem even is

I bought a 2017 dodge charger from Copart which was hit from the front passenger side. it was listed as run and drive and in the pictures the dash was on. when I got it I tried to start it nothing I jumped it and still got nothing and the cluster was off and the shift knob was flashing red. I scanned for codes and got faults for things like radio, amp, hvac, integrated center stack, driver door module, and passenger door module. then I manually clicked on all the major modules and it says lost communication I checked ohms resistance on the can system and it’s all 60ohms which is good I started unplugging modules from the star connectors in the trunk and I was able to get the dash on and the shift knob started flashing white instead of red then I checked voltage on the star connectors and the one under the dash and the one in the trunk are under 1.5v and the one by the obd2 port is 2.5 v I don’t know where to go from here.

This has been going on for a little while, and I decided to disconnect my battery for a while in hopes it would reset the CPU. It helped for a bit, but it’s still a little weird like this video.

I present you my last artwork on red Dodge Durango sides. I made it using airbrush (what is my work & passion for above 18 years).
Which side you think is better in your opinion?
Ofc i fully understand and respect that not everyone loves this type of pimping car, but i hope that more of you will enjoying it than not :)
You can also check more of photos, movies/clips/reels of this realization on my website https://www.aerografit.pl/ or my main social media profiles (as "aerografit")

I have a durango with 120k miles and want another one with no change to the body. My wife now wants one. Is the Durango objectively one of the best vehicles....ever? They seem to keep selling eben after they brought it back.
I would improve the interior and add the seats from the hellcat challenger. Other than that I think its damn well flawless. Thoughts?
