YouTuber Figures Out The Cause Of The Lifter Failures.

This guy is kind of goofy but man I think he's onto something here. Nobody I'm aware of has noticed this before and it really makes sense.

To summarize the vid/discovery: With the cam change in the '09+ VVT Hemi the lifter upward travel is reduced to the point that the oil band in the lifter no longer overlaps the lifter oil galley. This is greatly reducing oil flow to the lower half of the lifter and thus the roller and needle bearings.

This perfectly explains why pre VVT engines don't suffer lifter failures, and why '09+ non-MDS fail at at least the same rate.

Dodge made a bunch of changes to the lifters over the years. But as far as I'm aware they never changed the oiling band. So it stands to reason that not even Dodge has figure this out.

ProCharged AWD V6 Charger Build Part 3: More power, but the exhaust still isn't right.

Back with Part 3 of our 2023 Charger GT AWD build!

After all the fabrication work on the custom valved exhaust, we finally got it back on the dyno. Went from 276 WHP to 286 WHP, so we picked up 10 horsepower with the exhaust changes.

Not a massive gain, but the bigger issue ended up being the sound and drivability.

With the valve open, the top end actually sounds pretty mean, but there's still some unwanted rasp in the mid-range. Close the valve and the rasp mostly disappears, but now we're getting a weird surge at lower RPMs.

We're thinking the valve placement and exhaust pulse behavior might be playing a role, so it's back to the drawing board for Part 4.

2016 dodge charger uconnect

So recently in the mornings when I turn the car on the uconnect display doesn’t turn on and I get a warning saying blind spot temporarily unavailable. I figured out that it comes on whenever I’m driving and the temp gauge climbs off the bottom or if I blast both defrost but now the Bluetooth, fm, and am radio just won’t work. The screen is taking my inputs, I can see the song playing but it won’t put out any audio. It also is showing an hour behind and I’m just confused on what the problem even is

Disappointed why Dodge has pushed the Hurricane instead of the Hemi? Tim Healey of HotCars explains what it took to bring a powerful V8 out way back in the late 1970's.

How feasible/how much fabrication would it take for an awd charger (~2021) to get a manual transmission swap

I was looking into buying a retired police charger, how realistic would swapping a manual transmission into one with an awd system? I know itd require some fabrication since dodge never made a manual for an awd
