Just got off DL3754, a short jump from Spokane to Seattle. I was 7A, 2 seat configuration, the guy next to me was 7B. We didn’t talk the whole time, no problem there. But as we were getting ready to deboard I swore I saw him take a chewed piece of gum out of his mouth and stick in directly in the seat pocket.
I wasn’t 100%, so once he got up I opened the pocket and sure enough a piece of gum smooshed in there rudely awaiting an unsuspecting passenger or cleaner. BTW he had other trash he left in the pocket he could have easily put it in. Oh and as he sat down when we boarded he wiped down the armrest with a disinfectant wipe.
I hurried my butt up the jet bridge and told him how beyond rude I thought what he did was. He was too stunned to speak. Later we ended up in the same train compartment and avoided my gaze like the plague.
My question to the group: was it a weird power/asshole thing or do you think he just did it without thinking?

Flair seems appropriate.
Short hop from ATL-CHA (was 24 mins wheels up to wheels down) on the CR9 yesterday AM. Toss my headphones on and settle in, shortly after takeoff this lady zooms up into the first class lavatory and my partner on aisle gets my attention. “She just shit her pants”, apparently the blowout happened right before she was passing our seats and he heard the legging contained detonation, I was beyond glad to have my headphones on.
5-10 seconds later it smelled like 3 dead deer crawled up inside her 14.3 weeks ago and decided now was time to go on and git, initial smell did not dissipate in any sort of quick order like a fart would - it was beyond rancid for a solid 3-4 minutes and the flight attendants were looking around and conversing along the lines of ‘what the hell is going on/happening’.
Lady was in the LAV for prob about 15 mins, she came out with her windbreaker now tied around her waist and that just sealed it that she in fact shit herself. Smell when she walked back to her seat was wafting behind her but did not linger so she must have done a pretty solid job cleaning up. Honestly yeah I felt bad for her as we don’t know what kinda issues she may have but damn it was nasty and definitely a first for me. Thank you lululemon or whatever brand activewear she was wearing for containing the blowout. I was kinda worried they would turn right back around to ATL which fortunately did not happen.
TLDR - lady had a brownie batter blowout in her leggings while racing to the lavatory.

I was flying one of my usual routes for work this past weekend. Since I live in Richmond, Virginia I can’t ever fly direct which is fine. I fly to a smaller airport in upstate New York for work at least once a month. This trip didn’t seem any different to me.
We arrived Friday morning early into our final destination which is great and terrible. Since it’s a smaller airport they can’t always handle an early arrival with the lack of grounds people, so we have to hangout on the tarmac. I get it, these things happen.
Maybe about five or six rows behind a baby is screaming bloody murder. And like girl, I get it. I want off this plane too but as an adult woman I’m not allowed to scream the way a baby can. I feel so badly for the parents trying to do everything in their power to console this tiny human. And here’s the thing, we live in a world with the technology to have noise cancelling headphones at not horrific prices. I never get upset at a kid screaming, we can cancel that sound out if we need to.
However the woman on the other side of the aisle of me was not having it. Making faces, rolling eyes, looking back to see what was happening. Come on girl, we all know what’s happening.
When we finally get to the gate and the seatbelt sign is off, this woman not only gets up, she SPRINTS halfway past the first class cabin. UHH WHAT? GIRL. I know people post about this but this was the first time I had seen it with my own two eyes. Like damn.
Anyways, I couldn’t believe it and went on working in this smaller city for work. Sunday comes and it’s time to go home. AND WHO DO I SEE? This same entitled woman with the same bags and same smug face. AND WE ARW SEATED IN THE SAME ROW AGAIN.
So you know what I did? When we landed and the seatbelt sign went of, I jumped up and STOOD STILL. She was NOT getting off the plane before everyone else. NOT TODAY LADY! And I helped the people around me pull their carryon roller bags down too. Just to show her what kindness looks like.
VINDICATION!
And now I’m done.

I'm in 1A and you're in 2A.
You are the one coughing on me every 10 seconds without covering your mouth. You are the one clearing your snot-filled nose and throat every 20 seconds. You are the one to whom I offered a mask, but you said "nah, I'm good."
You are not good. You are an asshole.

Gotta say I've never seen a window in a lavatory before.

For everyone shaming Ed over his $30 million salary, let me remind you of one of the perks of Ed’s flights.
Miracle flights.
Yesterday, ATL to XXX: at least six wheelchair priority boardings. Not judging, just observing.
Three hours later at the destination? Miracles everywhere. Every single one was fully cured. Same previous invalids, now just walked off the plane. Some were practically running to greet their loved ones.
Three hours earlier, they couldn’t even walk.
At this rate, Ed isn’t overpaid. He’s apparently running the Airline Miracle Ministry. 😂

Well, I realize this may fall upon deaf ears (and I may get crap for it) but if I can convince ONE male to change their ways that’s something because the lavs on this lax to atl flight rn are absolutely revolting.
Men, first, your urine isn’t sterile. Read that again. It has bacteria, viruses, and microbes especially as it exits your body. When you “shake it” you fling that non sterile urine everywhere. When you are in a tiny airplane lav that means the walls, floor, and onto the paper products (tissues paper towel etc.). Not only does it smell, people track that on their shoes and perhaps person if they manage to touch anything in that lav.
Incase no one taught you, it is infact possible to take a bit of tissue and wipe yourself and toss that tissue into the bowl and flush.
Also, wipe the seat. Wash your hands. Be a good person. No FA should have to clean up after you and your bodily fluids.
Thanks and happy flying!
My sleeping seat mate has decided that the bulkhead is her personal footrest, so I did the nice thing and stepped over to go to the lav.
Jokes on me though as I punted my prosecco all over my table and seat getting back in.
She’s asleep none the wiser and now I’ve got a cold foot and smell like a bad New Year’s Eve party. Oh well FAs gave me one more!

Recently we have been making arrangements for our first family trip to Paris since having a child, and naturally our manservant (Mr. Carson) and night nurse (Mrs. Hughes) will be joining us.
As they will be travelling in Main Cabin, I wondered whether Delta might permit them to cross to Delta One during the flight to attend to our family, in accordance with their contractual duties.
Given that my wife is convalescing following a rather physically taxing delivery, and I become quite irritable without adequate sleep, we simply cannot manage this particular journey without the servants.
Even so, seating them in Delta One is not remotely appropriate, so please do not suggest such a thing.
Before anyone raises the obvious concern, I am assured that Mr. Carson and Ms. Hughes are perfectly
Accustomed to the arrangement.
I merely wish to establish whether Delta permits household staff to move between cabins when required to perform their duties.
The whole matter has become surprisingly difficult, which is rather disappointing given what one expects when travelling transatlantically.

Well me and my daughter were headed to key west Christmas Eve and had to take a connecting flight from bham to Atlanta. About 20 minutes into flight I get a terrible smell and ask my daughter if she has pooted(she’s 8). She denies any wrong doing and the smell lingers for the rest of the flight. Upon exiting the plane, 8 rows in front of me someone had shit all in their seat, the bottom of the seat and the back was covered. This person had set in their shit for a good hour and then departed into Atlanta airport covered in shit. Definitely a first for me. Also upon boarding, once the plane was full, they announced that someone had left their dog in the boarding area. One of my more memorable delta flights.

Didn’t see any option to pay over time with klarna but I guess I’ll live.
But really is this the lowest price ever, especially for a long haul?!

8:30ish am, Sky Lounge DEN. Dead quiet. Barely anyone's awake yet. I scope out a spot — people on both sides are heads-down working. Perfect. I settle in for what I assume will be 3 peaceful hours of getting stuff done.
Fast forward to a normal business-hours time (you'll see why that matters). The person next to me hops on a call. I get up for more coffee, walk back, and start hearing this very... clinical conversation. I look over — it's the person on my right, mid-call, completely unbothered that the entire lounge can hear every word.
She's a doctor. Discussing patients. By name. Diagnoses. Medications. Mental health history. Not a whisper in sight.
I'm sitting there like does she not know HIPAA is a thing?? 😳
Then I hear: patient might have Lyme disease.
Then: poor Lilly might have parvo or kennel cough.
...Lilly is a dog. She's a vet. 😂
No HIPAA violation (RIP my outrage), but still — a Sky Lounge at 8:30am is prime quiet-work real estate. Maybe take the pet diagnoses to a phone booth, doc.
And a final thank you to everyone I stood next to — in the security line, in the lounge, boarding, and apparently for the entire flight — who let me walk around with my shirt on inside out. Didn't notice until I got up to use the lavatory mid-flight, caught a red spot in the mirror, and thought what IS that before realizing... yeah. Inside out. The whole time. Not one person said a word. 😅

I am happily writing to you all today that this silver mediallion member got upgraded to first class. Not some short 50 minute flight, mind you, but a cross country flight departing soon this evening. I will have a glass of wine for the each upvote this gets.

Seems like every regional <1.5 hour flight is now $700 on Delta now that Spirit died, I can literally fly to Japan for cheaper than a Delta connection. Is there any alternative at this point?

Flying back west from Europe. They wanted to make sure we heard repeating that announcement like 3 times. Why are they forcing this on folks?

TSA agent was on fire already at 5:30 in TSA Pre.
He must have said, "Any metal needs to go with your bags through the scanner about 5 times (LOUDLY).
Guy gets waived through the metal detector. It goes off.
TSA agent points to gentleman's pants and says, "Is that a phone" to the clearly outlined phone in the pocket.
Passenger said "yes"
Agent without missing a beat said, "I said no metal."
Passenger says, "I didn't know it would go off."
TSA agent says, "They're metal. Haven't had wooden cell phones since Abe Lincoln." Sends Guy back to the line to deal with phone.
It made me laugh a little bit.
And as of 9/12/2025 this story has been cited in a Newsweek article online.
